I owe a huge thank you to someone from the COLORADO BUELL RIDERS. At Homecoming, in the midst of all the confusion, someone gave me a CBR patch. The thing is totally cool and man oh man what a group you guys have put together. Who the heck was it? Until I find our a big thanks to all of you for all you have done for Buell. Court |

Court, glad you liked the patch. Thank you and Dave for the book. I read it cover to cover about two days ago. A lot of great info. I would still ike to hear about the 33 bikes Buell did not make!!! EB got a patch and I hope I got one to al the Colorado riders that were there. If I missed someone give me a yell... Frank |

BTW Court, I am thinking about bringing back the Breckenridge Buell ride. I have been talking to Kim and Cheryle Beres and we are thinking next June. It might be a good time to come out and get your S2! Frank |

Actually you are right, that'd be a great time to come out, ride with the group for a day or two and head to New York City. Lim and Cheryle are absolutely delightful people and I'd really enjoy seeing them again. Besides. . . it's getting embarrassing showing up at moto-vents on a BMW. Thanks again for the very cool patch.

Ryan, there used to be a Buell Rally in Breck for a couple of years. Lynn and I were up there last month and there are some good rides in that area. Here are the links. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/681 7/4192.html?997851611 2001 Rally http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/681 7/10337.html?1052109268 2002 Rally I will need some help. I will need people to lead rides and ride sweeper as well as some general help. That would require people that actually know the area and roads. I am thinking June next year and although that seems like a long time from now, planning needs to start now. I am going to check with Buell and see about demo rides etc. I do not want any official sponsorship but if a dealer wants to show up that is fine. Kim and Cheryle will help me out with places to stay and there is camping in that area however, the hotels are nice with a underground covered garage and will support evening activities. I have some of the routes that have been used in the past and they look pretty good. It would be great if the Altitude Riders got involved. |

Dan and I got home on Friday from our Colo bike trip. We did 1765 miles of beautiful country. We'll post some pictures in the next couple of days. Had rain 3 afternoon/evenings which wasn't too bad. The new Continental tires were great. Was able to keep 60mph in the rain without any worries. They held like glue. Did a lot of new roads and some old favorites. Can't wait for next years trip. Now for the planning of our Las Vegas trip in October. Oh, and it wasn't in the high 90's in the mountains like it was here. Very green and moist up there. |

Julie, I knew your would like those Conti's. Got my new pair and now just waiting to get my old ones down to the wear bars. Sound like a nice trip. We got to get together for a ride before too long. Are you guys moving to Canon City? John |

Hi John, As much as I'd like to move somewhere (away from the crowds), the time is not quite yet. When we do move, we'll definitely be looking into an area where the roads we like to ride are just around the corner. And yes, those Conti's are great. Dan and I are both sold on those tires. They just roll from side to side without effort and in the rain, WOW!!! Oh, we also got some riding pants over at Performance, similar to yours. They were great on the trip, fairly water resistant too. I've got family coming in to visit in 2 wks. Maybe we can get together mid August, like around the 16th. That would be nice to ride with you again (and I'll try not to go in too hot on my first corner ) My cell # is 303-589-8150. (Message edited by jumpinjewels on July 21, 2008) |

Julie, I am glad you and Dan made it home safe. It sounds like you had a great trip. Did you take any pictures? I have not heard anything on the NM Taos Buell rally yet but maybe I will go to their thread and ask what is going on. I saw Murrae at Homecoming on his S3T and Lynn and I had a great time. It was the best event I have ever been to. John, my S2T is down right now and I have to tweak the S1W a bit but if need be I still have the XB so if you all up North plan on any rides keep us informed. Frank |

Hey Frank, yes we took about 140 pictures and I picked out about 11 last night but Dan has to help me make them smaller so I can put them in. It looks like we may not be going to Taos this year. With our trip to Vegas it may be out of our budget. We'll be taking the RV and trailer to Vegas and stopping along the way to take the bikes and do some rides. If anyone knows of some great rides between here and Vegas that info would be greatly appreciated. |

Oh, I'm sooooo jealous. I'm at work and looking out my window at the rain, then sun, then rain..... Dan's working on my bike currently, cleaning it up from our trip but we will probably get out on Sat for a short trip, mostly likely up in your neck of the woods. Glad you had a nice ride. Arden Weatherford, (719)243-4433, is the proud new owner of PPIR (Pikes Peak International Raceway) and invites all clubs to schedule racing events at the new PPIR. If your club wishes more information, Arden would like you to call him. PPIR is just South of Colorado Springs in Fountain CO at exit 122. Bottom line is that PPIR is open for business and he wants everyone in the area to start using it. |

Anybody interested in meeting early at the Conoco Sunday? I'm thinking of leaving Conoco at 6:30 to avoid cars and get home early. Scott |

Bully, I sent you a PM. I just notice that we now have over 500 post in the CBR section. This great and I did not know if there was any interest in Colorado at first but apparently their are a few BadWeb CO Buellers running around. I have met a lot of great people because if this. I am seeking help with a Buell rally in Breckenridge CO for next summer (June time frame). I know that is a long way away but you can never start planning too early. I mainly need help with the rides. Ride leaders and sweepers. I have some of the routes already planned and will be making arrangements for lodging. Can anyone standup and say YES, I will help? My goal is a no sponsorship event... Just a bunch of Buellers from CO and area getting together for a couple of great rides and good times. I think the last Breck Buell Rally was in 2002.... Way too long to deprive the Buell community of our great roads and scenery.... Frank |

jcbikes, I would love to meet you guys in Deckers but I just returned from AZ. I do not know if Lynn has anything planned Sunday yet. As I was driving on I25 it looked like Taos and area was getting some rain. I hope the Taos rally did not get rained out. Frank |

Rain? We don't stop for no stinkin' rain. Glad you made it back. Me and the Blast kept up, sort of, with the rest of the "pack". I'm totally exhausted, though. Post some pics of you new ride so we can see what you was more important than Taos! |

My 19, almost 20 yr old son just passed his MSF course yesterday. We are planning on taking him up to Estes Park next Sat for his maiden voyage (he'll hopefully get a few miles in before then). We'll take him up thru Golden Gate, then Peak to Peak. He is so looking forward to it. He also gets to go with us to Vegas in October for the Femmoto event and will get to take his bike on the track on Fri. Hopefully this will be a great learning experience for him and his 2001 SV650S. Hope you all who went to Taos had a great time. And Frank, glad you're home and OK. We were thinking of you while you were back East with your family. |
