Just stopped by our favorite Buell store and heard the news: The-raven was involved in an auto accident last night. He is conscious and seems to have all his faculties, but there is severe injury to his body. As of today he was only accepting visitors who are family. I tried to tell them BUELL is family but it was a no-go. I'm sure he'll be alright and I'll visit upon my return from "Cross-eyed heaven, WV". Tank arrived intact and we successfully dodged 6 deer and one Ranger on the BRP en-route to Big Lick. Departure at 0800 Thursday and I got a lot to do! NUTS |

Jackie, I'll give a valiant effort to call. Tank, phone call coming your way in about 24 minutes. I busted my hump last night to get all packed up. Had to scrape plaster off of 40 year old tiles too. Ah, the price of fame. Seth, I hope everything goes well today and as soon as I get back in town I'll be available for any assistance your family might need. NUTS(all around good guy) |

Charlie, The latin name for the lizards is Cyclodomorphus gerrardii. Notice the Cyclo part there man. That makes them kinda like part of your family. Now gimme some money to buy more ! You better never let me near your gator cause if you do him and I are gonna wrestle to see who wins. I think I can take him but Nuts seems to think otherwise. So which one of us are you gonna put your money on Charlie? |

Darn Jackie, I'm gonna have to go check my family tree(Cyclo) I knew it had some slippery dudes, but this I don't know. I have seen this (seven foot )gater back a guy(250 lbs.)up to a tree and take a whole string of fish from him before he would leave. My money is on the Gator. The Mexican workers that were here have taught him that humans are a food source(feeding him scraps at lunch time) It's a shame but the damage is done. It will probably be his demise. Any news on Seth? |

I decided to swap out Huckleberry's tires today. I had 4300 miles on the stockers with about 500 miles of use left. The front and rear were both at the wear bars due to my excessive corner riding and leaving the highway alone. I avoid Wiley Drive at all costs too! So I pull the wheels yesterday and head over to Williamson Rd to get some new rubber this morning. Mike has several sets in stock from Continental, Avon, Michelin, Dunlop and Bridgestone. The Bridgestone were the cheapest and had the most neutral profile so I had him mount 'em up. While waiting for the job to be done he asks if I need another brake rotor for the front. Well, I don't "need" one but whatch want for it? Just take it, Mike says. So another front Buell rotor comes home with me and the tires. All told:$247 dollars for tires and a Buell ZTL rotor. Not a bad monday. NUTS |

Nuts, once again with the "deals" The rotor kit is(was) $120. That included all of the mounting hardware. Don't mount a new rotor without new hardware!(or a used one, new hardware) And make sure the wheel surface where the rotor mounts is "pristine". File it lightly if you have to. Get well soon Seth! And I got $100 on Jackie! |

Took the 10 year old daughter on a night ride of the Franklin Co. mountains. We had a blast riding and stopping to listen to the sounds of the night. Even stopped by the old cemetary to see if any friendly spirits might be in the neighborhood. Alas, no one was home.

Charlie, It means he was have a seizure because he knows my reputation as the master of all things reptilian. The poor thing will probably find another lake to live in now because he is frightened of our inevitable showdown. I believe the Nutster is at the new family compound and then headed off on an Easy Rider type adveture with his dad and brothers so that update may be some time coming. Then again he may slip in here before he leaves to give an update. You never know what he is going to do. Brutha' is slippery as a snake which probably explains why we are such good friends . |

Still in town until Sunday afternoon. I was at The Farm last night in a treestand though. Down to business: I spoke to Seth this evening and he's a trooper. Sounded like the 'ole Seth, just a slight hint of a limp. Once he gets settled he promised to give us all an update with pics. Sort of like the Ride Report no one ever wants to report! Heal up Seth and I'll be back in town just in time to get that grass cut one last time. NUTS |

That's some spooky stuff right there. If only because I know "the guy" and speak to him weekly about motorbike foolishness. Thanks for always tolerating my flights of fancy Seth. This little break of yours might just give me the opportunity to get in shape and be able to keep up with you at "The Cove" when you're healed. Today is "D" day and we have a liftoff time of noon. I think I'll guide the clan North to avoid the impending rain South of us. After having ridden all four bikes in my garage yesterday I can say with absolut certainty: Huckleberry is indeed the finest! Though, Suxi-Q ain't far behind. NUTS |

Doing better this week than last week as can be expected. Still 4 more weeks until I am expected to be walking again. At least they rebuilt my right arm so that while still broken it can carry weight so I can hop on my right leg and balance myself with my arms on a walker. Seth |
