Yeah I think I need some "real" time on the bike. Commuting just isn't the same thing. I'll see if I can get the new guy, "G" to come out with us. Anybody have a destination in mind? Working in a food and drink stop would be good! Battery/charging issue surfaced yesterday. I charged the battery last night. I should be able to get by. |

It's Official! Mark your calendars for Saturday, Sept 6th. This will be an autumn version of the spring "Res Ride". We may take a little different route, but still have all the good curves (plus some new ones) and some Clem's BBQ! This is the Saturday AFTER Labor Day. The ride is based out of my shop in Bellwood, PA - just north of Altoona - exit 41 off of I-99. This will also be a send off ride for XB9er. His National Guard company will be shipping out to the "Sand Box" Sept 19. He'll be gone for a year (or so the gov't says). I told him I'd take good care of his Buell "Jessie", somehow I don't think he believed me because he said he wasn't going to leave the key in it |

Sounds like a plan to me, Tony. However, no one has said where and when. I'm good for Saturday, someone needs to pick a time and a place. Paul, your pics from the West Virginia meet you attended. I didn't take that many, and it's a pain to resize them to fit here. Take a look here for some pics: http://http://gallery.me.com/garyp74#gallery Who's going to Indy? I'm not, are you going Jose? There we'll meet Randy around 11, grab some grub at the BB-Que joint down the "hill". I'm going to miss you all this weekend I have to go to the eastern shore for MC duty, but I have a road to suggest if you all are going near 99 and old Frederick road. Its near Woodstock going towards Granite headed north towards Route 26. Route 99 at the snowball stand make take that road at the intersection follow it past the Woodstock Inn across the RR tracks and bridge, near Granite the road gets real interesting. Hard hairpin turn with a couple of short hills all slammed together, you can get thru the turn and go up to the hill fast, then feel your suspension stretch and compress as you catch a little air, its a pretty neat point in the roadK |

If anyone wants to run around past High Rock let me know and I'll figure out how far(long) people want to go. Lots of good scenery in this area with wonderful twisties between (some are couple minutes from each other) and I have a couple of rides that are mapped out. Some rides could get into 3 hours. All gas stations on my routes now have CC purchase available (finally). |
