went by the kilt (gilbert/baseline) about 20 bikes tonite, i was unable to only drive through, got an early day tomorrow. however, i also went by dos gringos on baseline/greenfield. tons of chrome and bikes all over. does the bwb have any shirts? i recently started air brushing, so if we had a logo, i may be able to come up with some bwb shirts. (i realize there's the logo on the main page). any ideas? |

Glad to hear it Randle! Newbie, The logo on the main page is indeed the badweb logo, but it is the property of the badweb, and you would need to contact Blake here on the board for permission to use it for t-shirts and stuff. (this issue has cropped up before) I'll be out riding on Saturday, doing a loop through the mountains and probably won't get in until late, and I have to work on Sunday afternoon. I may try to swing by early though, we'll see...

Thx Bartimus- I sent a pm to Blake. I am going to create a logo for us here in the desert just for fun. if you have any input make a pdf, jpg, or ppt, and pm it to me so i can make a stencil and airbrush it on a shirt, helmet, or other object. |

You guys missed out tons of people at the kilt. I showed up late and some random guy gave me his raffle tickets. I won a two-up ride... So I gave it to the cute bartender ashley. Not ready to get that close to another man, plus my 240 might just kill the bike. |

Jonzin I had a set of steel stair stringers I fabricated coated by these guys. Price was right and they took the time to show me thru the shop. I would use them again. Quality Powder Coating, LP 4030 East Broadway, Suite 802 Phoenix AZ, 85040 Phone: 602.437.8083 Fax: 602.437.8084 |

I second CSG's recommendation, I have seen quit a bit of their work, and had them recommended by quite a number of folk. Once I have stuff ready to be powdercoated, that is where I will be headed. |

I did it, I ordered an HID kit... I got both the low and the high, I like uniformity... Now, if any of you have experience installing these things, or tips on how to make them last or general tips I sure would love to hear them! If anyone is available to show me how they did theirs or post pics, it would truly help. Thanks guys, Oh I have an 05 Bolt. Thanks again, Alex |

Hey guys and gals, I think we should all get together this saturday out at the pavilions car and bike show. (this is out in scottsdale) I suggest we meet there around 1830. I know this is rather last minute, but i still would like to meet everyone! I will be out there if there is just one person says that they will go! See you saturday! Alex |

i'm no planner, but it shouldn't be that hard to create a Buell only gathering. since it seems as thought the weather is starting to cool a bit, seems more functional. like a Buell run to Tortilla Flats or up towards the mountains to a place to hang out and meet and enjoy. i work 6 days a week currently so its difficult for me to get out except after 7 or on sunday. btw i'm still working on a bwb az shirt/logo. any ideas would be a help. |

you would think that it wouldn't be that hard, but I have tried multiple times to get something together on here, and to no avail has anything ever been accomplished! Hello AZ buellers, I say get out on the bike and meet your fellow riders and come have some fun! Lets stop typing for a night and start twisting throttles! and come meet one another. Alex |

Hmmm, it would seem, the only ones typing are you guys... I'm not sure about anyone else, but I'm out riding my bike... I work on Sundays, so Saturday is my riding day, I've been out riding all day, I've covered almost 300 miles today, and it was great! Now if any of you would like to RIDE instead of just "hanging out" you might get something going. I've found that trying to organize anything anymore is like trying to herd cats. It just won't happen. That said, there is a ride coming up on the 13th of September, a back to back ride up AND down the famed HWY 191. Some of us will be going up on Friday the 12th, and coming back on Sunday the 12th. Saturday night, after the ride will be a good chance to sit back and party, and get to know the other riders. So if you want to get out and RIDE your BIKE, and meet fellow RIDERS, than this may be an opportunity for you to do so. |

do you have a planed route for the 191 trip? |

John, the ride is primarily focused on Hwy 191 between Alpine, and Morenci. How riders get to and from there is their option. I am riding up Friday, and will be riding out over Yarnell pass, through the spars, then onto Camp Verde to HWY260 where I will take that all the way to Showlow, and then take Hwy 60 on into Springerville. Sunday, on the ride home, I will be coming down HWY60 through the Salt river canyon, to Globe, then HWY77 to winkleman, and HWY177 back up to Superior, and HWY60 back into Phoenix...
These are some of my favorite roads in the state, and mimics the route of the AZ Springfast ride a few years back. |

I got stranded 35 miles North of Care Free on NF-24 Sunday w/ a flat tire at about 1pm. Walked for an hour and got lucky w/ a couple out joy riding w/ a Jeep. Back to PHX for my truck and picked up the bike at 9pm. I think a group ride would be best for my future here in Phoenix. Oh, tire plugs are now on my list as well as extra water. |

John, You were out on dirt roads? I would have to agree with you on the tire plugs if you plan on exploring any more fire roads. Water is a must on extended rides. I rarely leave home without a few bottles of frozen water in my trunk or saddlebags. By the time your ready for a drink they are thawed out sufficiently for a nice, cool, drink! |

I have never had an issue w/ my Uly (17K). I was clearly not thinking when I made the trip. I was only going to go a little way up the hill to 7-steams or what ever it's called but I enjoyed the ride and view so much I said what the hell. Lesson learned hard but well. I have been very close to death many times but I am sure, this was a very close call. Once I started walking, with in an hour, I was delirious and only what I can describe as ready to pass out. Welcome to AZ. It won't happen again. I will be well prepared for any fire road travel from here on out or simply not go. I could not even call for help if I wanted to. Not a good place to be with less than a quart of water at over 100 OAT. Whats worse, my wife kicked my a$$ when I got home and I told her what I did. |

glad you're ok. walking out here in that heat, it'll get you quick. always wear my camel pack full of mostly ice when i go out, and always fill it on intermediate fuel stops. hey-at least she let you keep the bike. |

Whitj Look into getting a SPOT (Satellite Personal Tracker) The BOSS lady gave me a somewhat longer leash after I got mine. But yes always have water and/or gatorade on any bike in AZ. |

Give it a few weeks. If I ask for a SPOT now I'm likely to end up w/ one across my left jaw.
