Initial Meet'n'Ride Ok, we seem to be getting some interest in S.E.W.E.R.. How about a combination meeting and ride the weekend of October 25-26th? Saturday or Sunday, it makes no difference to me. We can meet somewhere, get to know one another, share some ideas and go for a ride. Eagle, WI may make for a good meeting place as we can each ride the scenic roads there, meet mid to late morning, do some planning and bench racing, go for a ride and then head home. Just to get this thing started...Anybody game for meeting in Eagle around 10:00 AM Sunday, October 26th? If yes, please acknowledge. If you have a better idea concerning day, time or location, please post it as well. I am available both days and a few others might be as well. I am not inclined to camp out in this weather, much less motel it that close to home, but two consecutive day rides is just fine with me. Especially, if that is the only way we can get this venture off the ground with input from all that want to get involved. edited by Nevco1 on October 19, 2003 |

Newfie...you are officially "In the Sewer!" Heard some good rumors about this coming summer which I don't care to repeat, however, it looks like a week long event just might be feasible. Even as a group of outriders, we can fill a week of tremendous riding without even breaking a sweat. All you saw were our flatlands. Keep the Faith! |

Initial Meeting/Ride Ok, I already received a suggestion from the Iowa Corn Mafia to move the initial meeting location to someplace a little closer to the mid point so they could play too. So how's about Monroe, WI for the initial meeting weekend? If that doesn't cut it, considering this is an informal initial meeting and exchange of ideas, perhaps we can do two meetings. One in Southeastern and One in Southwestern Wisconsin. Perhaps Prairie du Chien would be a good gathering point for the Southwestern meeting. In the event it looks like there will be two meetings this weekend, is there someone from out that way that would like to lead the Southwestern meeting. If yes, email me and I will give you all the input I can concerning what we would like to see in the Sewer. It really is pretty simple and a lot of it has already been posted on this thread. So let's get the ball rolling so we can begin planing next years rides! |

I have no problem with non-Buells riding. I've seen them break down on rides too. I actually have next weekend open as long as the weather holds out. Man was't this last one a doozie? |

Just a thought as I'm getting caught up on the reading, the e-mail list might loose a few people, so if at all possible maybe post any pertinent emails to the site here for archival purposes. For me, personally, I check here much more frequently than my e-mail. Anyway, carry on regardless. Back to the bushes I go. |

Interesting thoughts on this thread . . .I, too, don't feel that BRAG has let anyone down . . . .I joined with few expectations, many of which have been met, and also agree with Newguy (I'm soooo agreable today) that the majority of Clubs, including Ukes and Windy City, the two I have experience with) have trouble getting folks together due to scheduling difficulties . . . Also agree with the need for NO POLITICS and brand-snobbery (not a great deal of either that I've seen, but any is too much for me) . . . 24-25 October sounds good to me, although I'll have to check the family calendar, having just returned from a trip to the Gap (neither Grounder nor I fell down {Yippee}, and had a great time, and discovered some new roads . . .ask Grounder about the "Detour!" whereabouts is Monroe, asked the flatlander? |

Monroe appears to be south of Madison and west of I-90 a bit just north of the Illinois border. I think. Mapquest says it's about 116 miles from Waukegan IL. |

MJ is lookin ruff just waiting on a few things. Al my internals are showin up fine on ultra sound but still sore and my back is all fudged up. Other than that I can't wait to get riding again. |

Soft tissue injury is a long time slow heal easy to reinjure process, still dealing with a few issues from my interface with a pickup bumper a few years ago. Get back on your feet, but let the body recover at it's own pace. A little assistence and workout can't hurt in moderation though. |

Sunday is better and Monroe is fine. Just keep in mind that I have ~70 mile radius range before I must find a source for race gas. Still haven't converted back to a reasonable compression. Although if it is cold, I can top off with normal gas, I just don't like running that risk. Dave |

Daves...You can trust Bomber and I when we say you will be a better weather forecaster than any of those boneheads on TV. I'd laugh, but it hurts too much this time of year! |

Hey SnowDave...Does this mean we have to route the rides through airports? LOL Where do you get race gas, not to mention where do you get it on Sunday's? Never thought to ask around here, but back home the only places I knew were only a few MC dealers and they were closed-for-business on Sunday's. |
