I'm not sure if I mentioned it here or not, but I've been working part-time at Ray Price HD/Buell here in Raleigh. I work in the back and I help unload the trucks and uncrate the bikes when they come in, so I'll know when we get one before it goes on display. I've been bringing my digital camera to work for the last few weeks in anticipation of the XB. I'll be sure to let everyone know as soon as I see one. Spike '99 Cyclone '02 Fatboy (temporary) | ||

Ray Price HD/Buell got it's first Firebolt this morning. It's white with blue lettering on the tank. I took plenty of time sitting on it and staring at it from all different angles. I took a lot of pictures, but you all know what one looks like, and I can't upload them tonight anyway. Sadly, very few at Ray Price seem to care. Maybe half a dozen employees would bother to ride it, about two would enjoy it. They weren't even interested in setting it up today. It spent the day parked in the back of the warehouse behind some other bikes. We're not allowed to sell ours yet, so it's probably going to sit at the dealer and become a demo bike for a while. I figure the only upside to no one caring about the bike is that I'll get more time to ride it. | ||

Hey anyone around Charlotte I77 I40 want to race me I am there around midnight on Friday nights..I drive a truck for yellow freight and can race that only.I am from chicago and have a 2000m2 and would like too see some bikes there.If you see a yellow truck that is a sleeper truck it would be me only as I am the only sleeper truck in that area. Just a quick note: Ray Price HD/Buell is having their Spring Open House this week. Saturday's events include a bike show that has trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each class, and there is a Buell class. At our last bike show only one Buell was entered (mine) meaning that two trophies went to waste. If you're in the area and you've got a Buell be sure to bring it to Ray Price and show it off. Hi Guys, Once again my vacation plans are 'up in the air'. I am looking at flying into Raliegh Durham Wednesday July 2nd and flying back to Wisconsin Monday July 7th. In that time I will stay with friends from college... kick around the Duke campus and then take off for three days on the Outer Banks to camp. I would like to RENT a motorcycle from the Raliegh Durham area... due to the August 20th event in Wisconsin, it is not really feasible to take two weeks to ride down there and back... but a short trip with a bike jaunt on the beach sounds appealing. If you have any ideas at all who is reliable, curteous (sp?) and cheap please let me know... anything from a cruiser-type Harley to a sport-touring BMW would work for me as long as you can pack a tent on it. In case anyone's interested: A few of us from Ray Price are riding up to VIR this Sunday (May 25th) for the WERA races. There will be at least 3 of us on Buells. The tentative schedule is to meet at the toys R us next to Crabtree Valley mall at 9am. Let me know if you're interested in going and I'll fill in the rest of the details. Charlotte, Yeah, that deposit is a bit harsh. You might want to try Capitol BMW (919) 834-5111. I'm not sure if they rent bikes but they seem to have a few demo models. Maybe they'd loan one to you? Mike L. | ||
