Hugh - do you think they'll go to the Azalea theater in S'ville or to the Charlestowne Square 18 in North Charleston? It's also playing there. |

Matt - Although I doubt the movie will be a sell-out, I went ahead and bought a ticket at the box office in Summerville. $10. |

Well Thursday I had planned to leave town with a friend to head to myrtle beach for the weekend to view the mustang week car show. I did get to go but didnt get to leave as early as expected. I had to make a stop before coming home and then I was going to come home and pack and try to leave about 3 pm. Well when I left the store, upon moderate acceleration through 1st gear and a quick shift to 2nd, the engine reved extremely high like I missed 2nd and was in N. So I looked down and no light. So next I looked back on the road and saw my drive belt laying on the road. Nice, only about 3 miles from home. So I had to leave my bike at someones house, fortunately friendly, while I waited for my uncle so I could get a trailer to get it home. It appears to have been the original belt off the bike from 03. Part number ending in F. It got 8500 miles on the belt. Not to bad considering what I have read from other people having it recalled/replaced. Surprisingly Thunder Tower HD had the belt in stock so I have one to put on the bike sometime this week so I can get it on the road asap. I did get to the beach, however it was later than desired. Im just glad I wasnt planning to take the bike down there. I would have been really pissed. Oh well at least I have a new belt on the bike in time for buelltoberfest!!!! |

Thunder Tower HD PWNS. I'm thinking of going there for all of my needs instead of Carolina HD. Love those guys. Basically the same distance. Less traffic too. (Message edited by mr2shim on July 27, 2008) |

My opinion/experience they (Thunder Tower HD) arent to bad if you want to order something. I havent had a bad experience with the parts department. Just dont want any buell apparel unless it is one of the 2 buell helmets that they have in stock. I could not find the 2 shirts that have been there for the past 2 years when I went in there the time before friday to order some stuff. Maybe that means they are going to order some of the new shirts? At least I will get to work on the bike this evening! |

Darren- you know Thunder Tower actually added a separate Buell clothing panel (other side was HD) about 6 months after they opened. They probably had 5 or 6 different kinds of shirts, maybe some caps and stuff. The next time I came by (maybe 2 months later) it had disappeared. |

I did know that at one point they had more than they have now. What a shame. I guess I am going to just have to order some from other places. I kinda like a few of the new ones. |

Leaving for the Gap on Wednesday. I am stoked. Just got some Pilot Power 2 CT's put on the bike cannot wait to try them out. Got a GoPro camera for the bike, hopefully I can get some good video. *BTW the tires were from Velocity in Summerville. They wanted $242 for the rear tire, I took them the printout from Cycle Gear and they matched the price at $172. That's $70 off. That is some crazy mark-up. Pays to do some research. |

Eryc- thanks for the tip on Velocity. Did you get them to mount the tires? BTW- your buddy have any interest in my S3? It's got a fresh battery in it now- I took it out for about 40 miles on Friday afternoon. It still runs great. |

What did you do about the mounting and balance?...........How much? |

Their mounting and balance price was not too bad. $28 if you brought them the wheels. However, I got it for $20 each after I talked them down. Retail stores and service departments hate to see me walk in the door. |

Well I got the belt installed. Not as bad as I thought it would be. Almost messed up and forgot the rear belt guard on the front end of the belt right behind the front belt sprocket. It seems to be fine now! She's back on the road. Also found out the front of my chin fairing is broken. The right side panels tab for where it would mount on the stock muffler is sheered off. I still have all the parts. Im going to try and repair it and see how long that will last. |

Hey guys- I spotted a black Uly on the Weapons Station this afternoon about 5:30 PM. Had factory luggage, side bags but no top box. Rider had on an orange "MIL SPEC" vest. Jim- you don't ride on the Weapons Station, do you? I don't know about Gsilvernale. Could we have a 4th black Uly in the area? |

Matt & Jim- I'm still not sure if I'll be able to make it. The advrider guys are meeting at Moe's for food at about 6:30 PM, and then going to Logan's for brewskis afterwards. |

Hugh and Matt - If you want to grab something to eat before the show, why don't we join the the adv rider guys at Moe's at 6:30? Matt we can meet up around 6:15 and drive over to Hugh's. Maybe the sound of V-twin thunder will sway him! |

Well, maybe one for the road. I'm riding to Myrtle Friday morning and need to be there by 11. Which reminds me, what is the running time for this movie? The first one, "Long Way Round" was about 6 hours long when it played on TV. |

I think we can get over there before the storm coming from the NW gets here. Should be over by the time the movie is out. |
