Found a small anureisum on Betty today. Base gasket leak. Head gasket leak. Same corner. Rocker box just fine. Really small leak at this time; I'm gonna try to run her through the summer, and send her to the sanitarium over the winter for healing. see ya all, sooner, Galen |

Oh it's less exciting than you might think. I picked up the fine new steed on June 14th. I brought it up and put it in a storage locker in Blaine to wait for the OK to bring it across the border. I finally got the title on July 7th, submitted the paperwork and brought the bike across. I sent in more paper work and had to wait until TODAY!@#* to get the OK to take the bike for an inspection tomorrow. (No riding so far.) Here's more good and bad. Good: I can get the beast inspected and take the paperwork and finally get the insurance. Good to go. Bad: When I brought the bike across the border on my trailer (here it comes....) I stopped at the carwash to wash the road dust off it (aargh!) and when I pulled out of the car wash, one of the trailer tires went over the curb, which caused the bike to rock (ooooooh!), one of the straps unhooked and the bike fell over in the trailer and landed on the tank and frame. Luckily, there's only a small gouge (no dent) in the gas tank and a scrape on the frame which I think that I can hide. What a feeling looking in the rear view while your new baby takes a tumble. OK, now on to good stuff. My new Mivv Carbon GP pipe just arrived in the mail and that gets put on Saturday. There's fuel to burn this weekend and I don't give a rat's ass how much it costs. There I'm done. H |

Hey does anyone have a tps reset tool in or around Tacoma WA? I have an issue with my bike I'm trying to figure out. I just replaced the plugs, belt, and rear bearings and now my '03 xb9r has a low idle and is misfiring around 3,500. I will pay in beer if you have a tps reset, \imagelink2 Give me a call or text 253-230-9013 {http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/clipart/happy.gif,: )} (Message edited by splatsc300 on July 13, 2008) (Message edited by splatsc300 on July 13, 2008) |

It was kind of a spur of the moment idea. I called Marc at 7:00AM to see if he wanted to go and he was able to shuffle his itinerary (get his wife to take one of their sons to hockey) and go. I thought about calling you but it was a little early. Next time we'll plan better. There's a great little restaurant in Maple Falls where we went for breakfast where you can sit outside in the shade. Went for a ride to see my brother in Maple Ridge to check out the new pipe. It's funny how having a great sounding pipe adds so much more to the ride. I LOVE the Speed 3! H |

Harv, what are the plans for your trip down this way. Duane in the Membrain were talkin' lastnight about a meet-up around T-town, and then the back way to Cheeserville... |

No plans yet but the meet up is certainly a priority. It's a week from Friday!!! We'll be leaving early as possible on Friday. I'll start working on the route and figure out what time we are likely to converge.

Harv, love that triple. At 2400 miles the rear Perelli on my MP3 is down to the wear bars. I got a set of Michelin Pilot Sports today, but gonna wait til I completely trash the Perelli's before changing them out. |

Went over to BobNuts this morn at 5:30 am to escort the Laguna basturds to the city limits. Didn't want them sneaking back into town, or some such. Can't trust such rabble sez I. RocketRon... now that I've heard the details of the 'camping' trip to Alder from Bob, it seems we have something in common. At my dead buddies 'Celebration of Life', this last Sunday, I seem to have followed in your footsteps, up to a point. No barfage, but I did wake up naked... and I don't remember taking off my clothes. Ah, the wonders of Tequila!... and being with friends! So the clock is ticking for SPLASH Time to get your weapons sharp! see ya all sooner, Galen |

Mike? What happened? Canucks, In the past we have met either on this side of the border and traveled together or met at the breakfast place in Blaine. Either one works if we can get started early enough. I would like to meet in Blaine at 7:00 AM or 6:30 on this side. That should get us to the Starbucks in T town around 11:00 AM or so. Eric, John.....who's in? So far the weather looks like 78 degrees and sunny in Woodland on Friday. NICE! Harv |

Let's not jinx ourselves with talk about weather! Harv, let me know where to meet up with you and I'll be there. I think that I have a friend joining us, but still looking to get a firm commitment from her, but it is looking like a ninja may be joining in the mix. Jimmy is up to his neck in roofing jobs and won't be able to come. Craig has a new born MacRitchie at home, so is also not able to join in. Lincoln will have to join us on a future ride :-) As always, looking forward to SPLASH and seeing everyone! John |

Mike came up short on a double during AM practice on Sunday during a supermoto event. He ended up casing the jump, it threw his chest into the bars and he crashed landing on his left side. He thought he just got the wind knocked out of himself, however once he made it back to the pits it was obvious it was more than that. He was checked out by the medic, who called an ambulance who in turn called in a helicopter. So much for your first ride in a helicopter - the only view was of the roof. He ended up breaking 5 backside ribs - 4 of them in multiple places. He wacked his chest so hard that it bruised his heart and caused it to get our of rythem with every 3 beats pumping out of the bottom. He was admitted and still remains up at OHSU. His heart is doing better, now only ever 6 beats is irregular. He is in a lot of pain and has a bit of a healing process ahead of him. His biggest concerns were Cody's bike - he is a true motorcyclist....... "don't worry about me, get the bike!" He is talking crazy talk about driving his way around SPLASH - yeah right. |

Sorry to hear about Mike's get off and the damage to Cody's bike, let's all hope for the best. If Mike needs a ride this weekend I'll put him on the back of the Beemer for a nice, cushy ride. Let us know if there is anything we can help with. Chris and Loni |

Mike Wood launched hiself off a dirt-bike, Saturday, or Sunday, and onto his chest. Details are sketchy, but first reports are three brokeded ribs, (in the back near his spine-bone), and a bruised oil pump, er, heart-thingie. Word on the street is it was a valiant attempt to better Evil's Portland Jump record of the '70's., which, umm...well, still stands. I was out with three chopper-dudes I've met, for a ride Sunday. There all about 'apes, straight-pipes, and hard-tails'. One rides a cut Suzuki Voulusa. A shaft drive, water-cooled chopper... Anyway they are good guys, and fun to ride with. We got pulled over on the way home, and Patrolman Friendly said we was goin' like 15-20 over for the 25 miles or so he followed us, AND making 'dangerous' passes. Trooper said we 'looked like a snake' cutting in and out of traffic together... then said 'take care', and let us flo! Brilliant! And I wore a beannie... It was my friends what has just died. I didn't want to look like too much of a 'sport geek' rider and stick out like a bent sissy-bar with these guys. It was really enjoyable to be out of my bubble and feel the wind in my face... But not when I ride with you guys! Sooner all, Galen |

Thank you Galen for filling in the blank, I just happened to get on here tonight and saw a note so I decided I should attempt to bring it full circle. Which by the way he crashed on the first quarter lap out.... so tonight we walked the hall and took a victory lap LOL or at least a complete lap. There were people at the track who were able to help get Cody's bike back in shape for his heats/mains - while Mike and I were away at the hospital. Both Cody and Cameron stayed and road the wheels off their bikes. They were in good hands with our motorcycle family. Cody even road in the class Mike signed up for - he wanted to ride it for his Dad he said. Kimberlie |

Mike, Hope you feel better soon. It would be painful hanging out with this bunch considering how much laughing takes place. It would be good to see you and Kim if you can make it. How's Cody been doing? Cameron is racing now too? It would be fun to come down and watch them sometime. John, Do you know the restaurant that we met at last year? If you go across the truck crossing on 176th and turn right on D Street, It's on the right just before you get to I5. 7:00 AM if you and your friend can make it. Eric? Eric? Harv |

That's scary stuff with Mike. Hope he's well soon. Good to hear that the little ones are doing so well. Sorry Harve,John, Mark. We've gotta bail on the ride down together. The longest ride Jaci and I have had this year was to Fort Langley and back. Darn near did in both our butts! So we're just going to do the shortest ride possible. And for that, we don't need to be out at 6:30. Ride safe and we'll see you down there. |
