So after we gathered up and got our rider meeting.. Well, we headed out on an 'Adventure Ride'.. I'd like to think of it as just going riding with some great friends that I'd just not met (formally) yet. Then we stopped at this cool stop and hung out for a few.. Sorry, but no mount for my camera so there are no shots of the actual ride...

Sorry, I didn't shoot inside any of the foot joints.. didn't know who was in there and some of them biker joints can get tough.. (ok, I was getting food and didn't feel like running between the two places trying to get pictures of everyone).. And no, I didn't get anyone to help with the 'group' shot that was taken.. Oh well.. On to the next thing.. The race track and the Tiki Bar.. |

Well, damn it.. I want to apologize, since I didn't make it to the races on Sunday, so these are a few shots taken at Road America on Saturday. What can I say, even when I'm just kind of hangin' out .. If there's bikes racing, I kind of start falling into the 'get the shot' mode. Of course, I didn't get a chance to go around the track that much, I did get a few shots.. and these are they..
More to come.. of course.. |

Thanks Brian!! I just posted a few on Tale Section from the "Worlds Largest Music Festival" in Milwaukee. Buell gave us free tickets and with the plethora of music , no one was left wanting......except maybe wanting not to see that last band at the HD stage....pretty gross bunch there!

On the topic of race photos... Early in the day, walking around with my Ultra Wide Angle lens trying from some panning shots (I cropped this a tad, he looked pretty small and still does), and I think it's a Buell, by the front rotor at least. These below were from the evening races, and I couldn't spot a Buell running. I was just working on my Panning shots. Some fun with cameras: The Annual Hill Climb we do.. The Hill: Johnny Cowboy Troy Brett The Group of 2008 Homecoming Hillclimbers Brett & Erik Me (Wilson) & Erik If anyone wants high res versions and see more pics, go to my SmugMug gallery located here: http://wbphotography.smugmug.com/gallery/5359918_x boCb#331634823_fUuw6 All are free downloads, and you can order prints from them pretty cheaply. |

Eric, If you want to give them to him and his wife, just give me credit where it's due !! Feel free to go to my gallery and download the full size!! And, if anyone is hiring, please, drop 'em my name, though I don't really have the equipment, nor experience, just ambition and my own taught skills....=) I'm uploading about 400mb more photos (about 40 more) as I write this.. |

Sure isn't.... But it's a certain technique called "Panning." You have to use a slower shutter speed and move the camera with the subject on the Focus Point all while pressing down the shutter button and no moving the camera up and down to create blurred photos. http://photography-techniques.suite101.com/article .cfm/panning_in_motorsport_photography |

Eric, This one's for you! Dana, I've got some from the bar that night of the fun! But those are on a point and shoot so I have to go through those as I was trying to get some good shots of Erik without a flash, but not having manual settings like my DSLR didn't allow that. Here's my favorite from the Tiki Bar with the SLR.. Another good one: Court rockin out: I'll post more in a bit...=) (Message edited by brinnutz on July 15, 2008) |
