Like they say......any more that two wheels is a waste. The same can be said about cylinders! |

Speaking of 2 cylinders..... Damn! They've declared my beloved GS a total loss! So now I have to wait and see how the insurance company treats me on the bike's value. I want to buy her back as salvage, maybe fix her up for the kid, but I also want to replace her with a new one. Hope they don't screw me too bad on the value. Kind of caught me off guard. I didn't think the damage was that bad and, talking with the BMW mechanic that put together the estimate, it appears to be all cosmetic..... just expensive cosmetics. I'll probably have a bike for sale soon to help offset the ultra high cost of replacing the GS. Not sure which one yet. Stay tuned. Cheers! Ron |

Bikes are often written off just for the plastics. The factories are just gouging us for replacement body work! That’s why it’s so easy (and cheap) to find a good late model 600 for a track bike. Just add race body and lets go play. How’s the mending coming along Ron? |

Stay positive Ron. Buy the G-tanker back and make a streetfighter hack out of it. I rode a hack in the 90's and they're much safer in the rain than two wheels. I'd have kept the outfit I had but I got tired of replacing the chain every 1500 miles. Shaft drive is the only way to go. Joe. |

My X1 has been sold. Very mixed emotions. Though the look on the guys face when I fired it up was pretty funny. He said he underestimated how loud it was going to be even though I let him know. So, I will be bringing the Speedy across the border next week and have already ordered a new muffler. Looking forward to doing more riding and less worrying about what's going to go wrong. Still, I'm going to miss the Buell. and

Galen, Joe - Consider yourselves lucky boys! It could have been worse.... or so Deb tells me. There were some VERY evil people there and I'm not sure how I survived, but somehow I did..... barely.... I think. Ron |

Well the 1125R's fuel didn't go bad and the battery didn't drain while waiting for my broken ass to heal enough to get back on 'er! Got her out for a little hooligan fun this afternoon and now I have a much better attitude because of it. Damn this bike has some get up and go to her! Woohoo - broken bones be damned! Cheers all, Ron |

I stopped by Bobs today Ron. You did have fun A ? . For Christs sake man take it easy !! Dontcha know you got a broken back !!?? I took Bob's Speed Triple around the block. First thing it did was try to pop a wheelie on me. It wasnt warmed up and the choke might have still been on. Them two stroke's will do that sometimes.Sometime's it's just the powerband being out of adjustment. I parked it , too spooky for me. Joe. |

Joe, thank you, I laughed out loud! I had one of my moments today. Made a left turn. While I was leaned over I came into a patch of bb sized gravel. I thought to myself, 'opps. I may be going over this time... this may hurt...' Then the front started to wash and I thought there was no use trying anything, I was going down. But I kept my eyes open (Debbie knows), and then the front caught and Betty attempted to high-side me. I held onto the handlebars as my legs went flying up to shoulder height and I came off the seat. And I'll be damned if I didn't end up back in the saddle puttin' down the street like nothing happened at all. I felt like Valentino R., even tho I was only going 20. Good stuff! SPLASH countdown to fun |

Oh Bib... where is you? No word has been heard since you got your Dark British Demon. You gots to give at least a little report on the trouble you've been in so far. An anxious public awaits your response. |
