Seems as though we're getting quiet a few new Buellers in the Raleigh area. Brakes2late suggested a "Raleigh" Thread, so here it is! Hopefully we can pull together a ride in or around the Raleigh area soon. Until then...post away! |

Brakes - you're welcome! Starting a thread up top is something anyone can do. If we find that we need to clean up our thread or have a need for another new folder, I can take care of those things. |

Could we make a "Folder" called "Raleigh" or "Triangle" and then we could post individual threads about rides, meets, etc.? Thanks.... |

I like to ride around Norwood up towards Durant and the North part of Six Forks. To be honest, I've not found any really challenging roads to tackle around RL. I do know of a couple traffic circles and on ramps where I can get the bike on it's side but other then that, where? |

Not sure Xdeth. I was proposing a ride this saturday. Meet around say 11-12 and figure a good place to go riding. Then go and grab a few cold ones afterwords. |

I have a suggestion...If everyone is able to or willing how about we meet every sat. or other sat. Go riding for a few hours and end up somewhere and have a few beers. jd - There is a parking lot in chapel hill that people hang out in on Sunday mornings: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25 0211 It's a good meeting place, as it's already on a couple peoples schedule. I'm always up for a ride though, from there or anywhere else. Well, except for July, I've got my kids here this month. Nope, you're not the only one on a thumper. I've got a Blast, as does sportymark's wife. |

That looks like a blast. Wish I could make it out there on Sundays, nut I to work. Saturday is really the only day that I get a chance to go out and ride. |

Ulywife- thank you. checks in the mail. Welcome Mike. Glad you found us. Xdeth- i try and hit pernell and thompson mill in wake forest every now and then. Fun roads when there is no one in front of you. And some of the side roads out there are pretty good too. Still looking for something a lil more challenging. |

Xdeth and everyone else: check out this site and post up some roads if you know of any. http://www.motorcycleroads.us/states/nc.html There is only one twisty labeled in our(Wake Co) area. It says Holly Spring Rd. Anyone been down there? Also if anyone knows of anymore please post them. |

I'll have to check them out, I looked at them on Google maps. I've had my eye on Oakwood Cemetery near St Augustine College downtown, but Cemeteries usually have horrible road surface. I guess I should add I would never do it while visitors were there or people working. Down around the Holly Springs Lake Wheeler area I'd like to check it out. There is also this little "community?" west of Tryon and Walnut with some interesting curves / circles, I tend to hit areas like that early Saturday mornings. |

Also add, the on and off ramps at MLK and Western <-> Mcdowell Dawson are pretty fun too, only do those early in the am for traffic ease, and of course RP HD is right down the road if you break something. I'm easily amused |
