Took 5th, had some really fast folks out there. Also had a close call and went off the track to keep from wrecking with another rider. Then it started raining in the 4th lap, did more sliding around in the last two laps then all of last year. I've been racing in D Superbike and my stock bike just doesn't have the HP to keep up in the straights. Needs some mods done so I can been a little more competitive. Pick'd up the Hawk GT! |

Hey guys, Melissa, Shelby and I are contemplating coming out to Atlanta for the July 4th weekend. And, because the tires on the van are shot, we will probably take the Subaru... which seems to have a trailer hitch on it... and I seem to have a trailer... and, what a coincidence... I have a bike that fits right up on that trailer!! I am thinking of towing the bike out there, and maybe hitting the hills on Saturday. We will be in Snellville (that is if we go). I also still have to clear this with Melissa as well, but I'm sure she will be fine with it. (Message edited by ratyson on June 30, 2008) |

Mike, sounds like fun. Is that the same Hawk you've been wrangling for all this time? Russ, I'll be out riding Saturday. My uncle's riding in from Houston on his Rune Friday. |

Whattaya got? 2003 Extended Cab Ford Ranger Played with the bike a little yesterday. It had reverted back to coughs a lot. Played with a few idle adjustments and thought I found a sweet spot. Had an awesome local ride before the rain last night. But then sure enough after we got warmed up today she just can breathe between 2500 and 3000 RPMs. |

Sanchez, Yep, its the same bike. I already took off the number plate and one piece race tail-seat. Put the stock seat on to make it about a inch or two lower for Shelley. Went to Grayson High school parking lot. Had her go through the SHRED SCHOOL...lol! Gave her a few lesson and she went round and round and was tearing up the pavement. Had to tell her to slow down a few time even. She did really good, this was her first street bike lesson. She never stall'd out, and was shifting through gears like a pro. |

Well what do you expect when you put new riders on 1500cc bikes with no experience and a joke of a license test. At least we are thinning the herd. |

I just watched the video, at least they are laying most of blame on the stupid cagers "guzzling down $200 a week in their SUV's". They advocated taking the MSF course as well, saying "you will be safer but the cars still wont see you". |

"the cars still wont see you". I try to keep that in mind every time I get on the bike. |

Okey dokey. Been playing with ECM spy on the laptop and am getting close!! I have a wideband O2 I can install and I know a guy we can email maps to and get adjusted!! I can already do the TPS resets, read and clear codes etc... Yo Dan, Does your daughter want to make a few bucks making sure Hayden dont die tomorrow?? By the time she gets here it will be about his bedtime. Sam and I want to ride together to bike night and most everyone we know or trust will be with us or cant do it. He will be fed and she might have to change one diaper before putting him down, and that is EASY!! |

New12r - Did you buy the cable or did you buy the parts and put it together yourself? I have been wanting to buy the parts and put it together myself, but I haven't gotten around to it. |

Fran, the cable is a snap to make. Only takes about 5 minutes once you get the parts together. I have been meaning to do some data logging with mine... just haven't had a chance to ride lately. Melissa, Shelby, and I are not going to make it out to Atlanta this weekend. With the price of gas and some other factors lumped in, it just doesn't make financial sense to do it right now. You guys have a great 4th!! And don't blow nuttin up that don't need blowin' up! |
