Are fireworks legal in WI?? I had a party yesterday for my son's baptism and didn't get to light off all of my fireworks. My neighbor has a newborn and asked that I stop with the fireworks cause she was trying to sleep. Having a 5 month old myself, I could understand the request and stopped the show early. I have a shitload of mortar shells still to light off and was wondering if I should bring them for some latenight entertainment? |

I asked about picking up my ticket package from the factory in East Troy and this is a copy of the email they sent me back: Hi Donald, Unfortunately, due to the size of this year’s event we will not be fulfilling ticket packages at East Troy. You will need to stop by the host hotel to redeem your ticket packages during one of the two provided dates/times. We can leave your package at the front desk if you can’t make the timing, but you do need your ticket package/wristband in order to get onsite at East Troy. You can always stop at the hotel to pick up your items and then join the group ride from the host hotel to the factory around 11 a.m. on Thursday. Thanks, Buell Staff I hope this will answer your questions about picking up your ticket packages! |

Is there a preferred route around/thru Chi-town to avoid the endless toll booths? I haven't heard anything else about either ferry across Lake Michigan, other than they were really expensive (truck/trailer/3 people) Any travel tips would be appreciated - coming in from Pennsylvania across I-80. Rolling out Wednesday morning. |

Toona, I asked on the WC 2 forum, looks like 80/294/94 is your best bet. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/show .cgi?tpc=37&post=1184350#POST1184350 I don't think that route will get rid of the toll booths, but it's the construction I'd like to avoid! Kristi: Imagine how much easier it was at the first Homecoming when this was ALL the Buell owners. Time has passed quickly . . .

I'm on the road, at a rest stop near North Platte, Nebraska. Trip is going well and looks like I'm on schedule so far. Sun's going down and it is starting to cool off. Z |

"Is there a preferred route around/thru Chi-town to avoid the endless toll booths? " my advise is to just use the toll roads. Yes it's expensive but it is the fastest way to get through the city. I've lived in the Chicago suburbs for 30 years now and whenever possible, I take the toll roads, just don't travel through at the peak of rush hour traffic. I don't find Chicago's traffic all that bad for being such a large city and I grew up in a small Missouri town with only traffic signal in it. |

We're trailering out first thing Wed morning, all the bikes are clean so I guess that means it will rain! Court, got any more Riders Tshirts? Did they ever release the CD in color? I'll be on the red 91 RS1200 (IL lic "WestWnd" ) Who's doing nametags at the BoilerRoom? |

What a fiasco! I have not much money for the week during Homecoming... Gotta love being a student/part-time/Navy Reservist! I had to buy a new tire as my rear started showing belt today and I was hoping to make it there on the tire and get a deal from Hal's (too high of prices anyways!). So, I get the new tire on the rim: -$200 Go to work, come home and put rim/tire back on bike: + however much I made at work, LOL While putting on tire, the rear brake caliper bolt (farthest one back), shears right on the piece that the caliper attaches too!!! Tonight! So I'm running around trying to figure out what to do...Go to Lowe's, find the closest sized bolt and a lockwasher, some drill bits, extractor, tap, etc : -$40 Come home, stop at a buddy's garage to get some bike stuff of mine, see a hacksaw. So, I cut some grooves into sheared bolt, TADA! I bought all the stuff from Lowe's because they were closing in 5 minutes. So, I have to return it all since I only used the bolt/lockwasher....whew! Needless to say, I need to find out where to get two new caliper bolts and the metal piece that goes around the axle that the caliper attaches to because I think this bolt sorta crossthreaded...But I used locktite for the quick fix! So, the bike is shiny and ready to go with a fresh oil change at 2am. I sure hope to pass a Buell or two on the way so they can join our group! |

If you are traveling from the west on I-80, take I-39 north to Rockford. ONE tollbooth at the stateline. Then just in Wisconsin take 43 east to East Troy! Even those coming from the east might consider it if the roads are bad thru Chicago. that's how I will be traveling Wednesday night. |

Thanks Coolice. That's the route my phone picked for me. I am in Kearney, NE now. Hotel was more than I wanted to spend but I got a ground floor room. Loretta is happily indoors. Looks like I'll be there tomorrow instead of Wednesday. Z |

I go to pick up my custom airbox/forcewinder piece in a couple hours, then sign leave paperwork at 1500. After that my X1, MR1SPD's XB9SX, and a new Bueller's 1125R will be hitting the open road! |

130 Miles down...Stopped at the Lake Forest Oasis off of 94, about 50 miles left. 90 had some Traffic Jams around the 80/90 split near Hammond I think. Also, right after the Express Lanes end, nothing but stop and go until 94 branches off again to a tollway. |
