With as busy as my schedule has been I haven't been able to do any riding. Haven't even had time to get my oil change done! I'm not sure when Saturday's will free up so might have to do some Sunday riding. Anyone else available Sunday's? Hope to get some work done on my Buell this weekend so I can at least start riding it to work. |

Jim We talked about possibly starting some evening rides this summer when it starts to get nice and hot outside as well. As far as Sundays I am sure there are a few that can pull that off. I am not one of them however. I would just post your intended ride date and see who responds. |

Had a great ride today. Even ran into Cord at Starbucks but he had to work, so no ride. |

As if I weren't busy enough... At this point most of you know I have taken on two businesses in the last 6 months and this has left me with little time for... well... anything. The layer of dust on my Firebolt is proof of this. Now as if I weren't busy enough, my wife recently informed me that we will be expecting another member of the family in Dec. or Jan! And I thought we were outgrowing our house now. We already have three boys and I told her after our youngest was born "no more unless it's a girl." Guess we'll see soon enough if that holds up or not. |

Congrats Jim! Do us a favor... In PBR tech ther's a helpful links thread. Put a post in for each of your shops, even if it's just name hours address and phone number. We'd all like to know who to do our biz with! |

Well the townhouse in the suburbs sold after (Only???) 90 days on the market. Buyer has two more days to back out, but we do not expect that to happen. Close on the 18th of June, so were moving! Problem is we don't know where. If all is right in the world it'll be the Concordia neighborhood in NE Portland, just a few blocks from the Kennedy School. we found a cute three bedroom, new construction but in the style of the other places in the neighborhood. Place has no garage, so we included a requirement that the builder add a garage and adjusted the price up a bit. It's a buyers market, so were not heartbroken if this doesn't work, but we like the house a lot, love the neighborhood, and would really really like not to need to move into an apartment while we continue house hunting. Cross your fingers for us! |

Jim, congrats on the new addition. Hopefully it is a little girl, they don't seem to be as mischievous as boys when they're young and still learning to communicate. Paul, what a relief to see something sell. My house has been on the market two months but will not be for three. We will be renting because it makes more economic sense than lowering our price anymore. |

Well, I needed to put the new rubber on before the track day. I considered doing it at the track, but decided I'd better plan to ride not wrench. So, off the wheels come and in the car I go for the trip to our sponsor, Latus. 15 miles out of my way EACH direction mind you. I drop the wheels off, the writer inspects them and says no problem, you can wait, that'll be $104.00. HOLY $hit, that makes up 25% of the cost of a set of good tires! Deep breath, OK club sponsor, I need it done, but that $20 a wheel at the track is looking better and better, and Latus wont scratch the powdercoating, so I agree and start to wander the floor while they mount and balance. (Five buells on the floor, a blast, a 12r, a Uly, an Xt, and the 1125r race bike.) An hour later my wheels are done and I throw them in the car and head home. As I unload them and stack them next to the bike a "blemish catches my eye." Closer inspection reveals that #^$&%(*^&$%*#& Latus scratched the $hit out of my wheels! Clear spoon marks on both front and rear, a large gouge on the rear and a chip still stuck between the wheel and the bead! Needless to say I'm pissed. Back to Latus with the wheels. I point out the damage and the writer agrees this is new damage, takes photos and my phone number and commits to a call back... We'll see if Latus is honestly intristed in being "The Best" Buell dealership, or we've just been fed a line. I'm certianly a less than please customer right now, and they have a lot of ground to cover to retain my business. |

$104.00 for a tire change! Holy $shit. Not sure if that covers it. Most places are $60.00. Sorry to hear about the miss hap. Maybe a spare set is in the works? So hows the 190 look on the rear? |

Cycle Gear, $30-40 per wheel IIRC, never a ding on the rim, and good tire deals too. I now use the Salem store for our mototire changes. highly recommended. Portland store: http://www.cyclegear.com/city_location.cfm?Store=2 2 And new store in Springfield, where I visit each week for business... might need to drop by and browse! |

We'll see how our sponsor responds to see where my dollar lands in the future. Perhaps a new set of wheels is in the works, that'd be the ideal solution, I could use a second set for the track. I'll show ya the 190 tomorrow. I scuffed it a bit yesterday afternoon, but have yet to "ride" with it on. I'll post up when the Jury is in. Current set up: Suspension HARD Tire SOFT Fluids, Check Turnsignals, what turnsignals? I'm ready for tomorrow. |

Just realized yesterday that I have 3000 miles since my last oil change. So I guess I will be changing it when I get home tonight. Other then that all I am doing is some taping at the track. |

Dropped off my camp chair, a couple tools, funnel for gas fill-ups, rag, and painter's tape at Latus today. Talked to Kenny on the phone as he was headed to the store: he's going to have gas cans that we can use as a group, instead of hauling anything in the trailer (I'd brought some fuel with me today, but hauled it home). Noted that the Latus service shop had some crazy number listed on the service costs board, like $400+ for tire change and wheel balance. It's gotta be a ruse. Also saw a small display for - get this - custom wheel weights. Yes, little shiny chrome H-D logos or "Born to Ride" or grimacing skulls can be purchased to provide both form and function instead of that ugly old lead stuff. |

I went ahead and dropped the PBR banner off at Latus yesterday just in case I wasn't able to make the track day. At this point I don't think I'm going to pursue it anyway due to weather, so dropping off the banner was probably a good idea. Since the bank that PSSR uses messed up, I won't be out anything so I don't mind not making this one and will hold out for one later this summer. Hope someone sees this before heading for the track so they know to look for the banner and for those that are going... have a great time and I hope to share the track with you later in the summer. |

Handed out my first "Street" card. Was driving form an appointment with the real estate agent to the place we picked for a temporary apartment (yes, the saga continues. We put an offer in on the rummer after the track day Tuesday, sight unseen by me. Wed morning we heard we didn't get it. Blew our minds, we did a full price offer! The other offer was full price too and apparently the only difference as earnest money and down payment. WOW. So we looked at some new construction in St. Johns yesterday, and were ready to write an offer but the builders agent says they don't do contingent offers AND likes 10K earnest money. We are only 12 fu$#@$#%ing days from closing! I'm not risking 10K on this, so off to an apartment we go. But I digress....) Anyhow... On the road and I see a 12r in Orange coming up behind me. I moved over to the right lane, let him catch up before the next light and stayed next to him while digging a card out of my wallet. We stop at the light and I flash a card out to him, he looks at it for a second, smiled and took it... Lets hope to see him here soon! |

Moving sucks. That said check craigslist for Buell Cityx seat, muffler, head pipe. Looks like my departure from Portland will be last week of July. Nice thing about moving cross country is Troy is on my list for a pit stop. I have relatives in Racine that ride, so I figure we can go to my bikes birth place and then they can take me on some good roads. |

Probably around 3 hours. Kind of depends on who all show up and what we are all up for. The current route in mind I did about two weeks ago and is about 160 miles round trip. Either way if you cant hang the whole time you can always cut out early. If you can go, I can stop by on the way over to the meetup spot. |

Are there any plans from the PBR to do any thing for the spring opener tomorrow at LATUS sounds like big doings. I'm taking my 9 in tomorrow for a facrtory reflash on the ECM i had the uly done last week and what a difference the only thing now is the fuel milageĀ i was nearing the 42 mpg mark and i seen reports of 46-50 with the new program. I haven't heard much from any one lately. Myself have been real busy with work ever since I took the three days off for the Hells Canyon trip it seems I cant get caught back up. I might swing by to see whats going on in the morning around 11:00 for a few minutes. It kind of depends on what happens with my kids and their friends. They are having a sleep over tonight. |
