Good to see you guys last night. Hey Frank, are you still planning on going to Lakeland Saturday morning? If so, do you want to meet somewhere near downtown and at what time? I think Rich and Sam may go as well. |

Nice night. The bugs were awful, near Lake Monroe. |

Hey guys. I couldn't make it last night as I accompanied my wife and step son to get passports and then to dinner. I am planning on doing the Lakeland ride Sat. How about meeting in the Lexington Hotel parking lot at 7:15? It is at the bottom of the I4 exit at SR50 (Colonial Drive) when you are headed west on I4. There is an on ramp a block or so away so it is an easy on/off location. Frank |

I wish I could join you, my bike is still in pieces. Any suggestions on how to back out the sheared side stand bolts. I believe I have to take off the muffler, which means I have to take off the belt tensioner to get to the clamps. Any suggestions, warnings? be good, |

Mark, I have replaced the bolts on my side stand. You do have to remove the muffler but you can get to the clamps without messing with the pulley. Removing the sheared bolts. I would drill them out or use an easy out. Frank |

If I can, I like to try cutting a slot in blots with a Dremel, then use a impact driver to remove them. I don't know what kind of room you have, though. |

Frank, I can clearly see where the bolt is on the clamp on the forward clamp, but not on the rear clamp(s), do I take out the rear muffler brackets that are on the top of the muffler? I bought this special screw and bolt remover, it is not an easy out (I had a bad experience with and easy out once). It goes on the variable speed drill. I see if it works. be good |

Mark, I didn't take those brackets off and if I remember right I only loosened the back clamps while removing the front ones. That let the muffler drop enough to work on those bolts. Frank |
