Well to make things even better in the maike household. I have huge spider bite and now think it might have been a brown wreckcluse. It has gotten bigger and hurts like heck. I love summer time!
im down town, but i can meet you pretty much anywhere, it will give me an excuse to get on my bike. you just need to get a tape for it, they are cheap at bestbuy, the two tapes i have are full. if thats ok
Glitch, I have some mini-dv tapes you can use. Lightning Dave's coming over some time this week to pick up some tuber parts, and I can send the tape back north with him. Actually, for that matter, I can send you a whole camcorder if that's easier for everyone involved.
Well since it's decided to be a rainy afternoon, that may be the way to go. I have to visit the attorney tomorrow, and he's close to Chris, I plan on picking it up then. If that doesn't work out I'll give you a call in the afternoon or evening.
Yesterday was fun. Wish you guys could've made it.
I left the Shell about 10:30 with 3 other people from BSB. We took 60 to the rock pile and turned off onto 19. On the last straight before the rock pile, a Union County deputy pulled in behind us. Fortunately we weren't speeding because we were following a pickup truck with a handicapped plate. The deputy waited till we got onto 19 and then pulled over the last guy in line because he tag wasn't visible enough. Fortunately he was cool about it, and the rider got off with a warning.
It was smooth sailing after that for most of the day. We rode up to Gixxer Corner, and I took some shots:
From there we went on up to Morganton and turned around. Once again, I found myself saved by a slow moving SUV, because a GA state trooper was lying in wait. And once again, he pulled over one of our group for his license plate location.
The faster half of our group rolled into Dale's and waited a while on the rest. We thought they'd just slowed down after seeing the GSP, but it turned out the guy on the Ninja 250 had wrecked for the first time after 2 years of riding. He got distracted by a squirrel in the road, came into a right hander too hot, and tried to straighten up and brake instead of just leaning. He low sided into the dirt and banged up his arm enough that he couldn't ride.
The poor guy had to ride bitch on the back of an F4i back to Dale's where he transferred to the stylish comfort of my Ulysses, and I took him home.
Dave, we are running deals on used rider's edge bikes. They are giving gift cards and pretty good prices. Call Brad here at the shop, he'll hook you up! Did you check the classified ads here on badweb? Just a thought. If you need anything let me know.
