salad or dinner forks? making some high speed billet ones?!! or is it the parts for your clip ons... that should look pretty neat steve. now you just need some kind of a pinkie decal made up for them. how hard do you think it would be to make a REALLY low profile block off plate for the mirrors on my 1125? i need to cover up the hole that the wires run through somehow even though i counter sunk some black allen bolts into the plastic. darkhorse makes a mirror block off plate but they are alot thicker than i want, i am looking more for an 1/8th or so. you know, for this one... i need to get some in the sun if it ever shows itself again! more pics. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290 431/344799.html?1205795786 and the first ride! http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290 431/344217.html?1205779066 not sure when we are showing up for homecoming as of yet. but i am fairly sure we will be bringing her blast, my 9 and my 1125. that way if she feels like she needs something with a little more oomph than the blast again there is an alternative. plus i just have to bring the 9 anyway! |

Hi, Bud! I am not sure what "Pro Series" springs are. I am not looking to make my plush, long-travel Ulysses forks into stiff, short-travel race bike forks. The 2007 stock springs are "Progressive Wound". They reduce front-end dive under braking, but do not make the forks excessively stiff. They also retain "Long Travel" for the Ulysses forks. As for installing the 2008 Fork Clamps (Triple Trees) on a 2006, several BadWebers have already done the conversion. The fork outer diameter is the same in the clamping area. The only issue on the Fork Clamp (Triple Tree) conversion is adapting the fork-lock to work. It seems that the lock-pin is about a half-inch too short after the conversion is completed. The links below are for threads that talk about the fork clamp conversion and the 2007 spring conversion. Long Thread started by OldNotBold: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142 838/317990.html?1203365015 Follow-up thread by BuellDynoGuy: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142 838/343221.html?1205318889 Best regards, Karl |

Hey Karl, Sorry I was a bone-head. The Pro Series springs will not work on your bike-too short. I have done some investigation on the '08 triple trees. Your fork tubes will fit. I am still not sure about the locking pin for the fork lock. The part number for the ignition switch is the same for '06 and '08. The pin itself looks longer for the '08 but you can not order just the pin-there is no part number for it. I have tried getting information from Tech Services but all they will say is that it can not be done. Standard line-limiting their liability. The best I can offer is to get your bike in here and see what we can do. The 2007 springs should be no problem. Let me know what you want to do. Thanks, BudC |

Budc, Any chance of Hals having a dyno shoot out at this years homecoming like they did back around 2000? I am trying to decide what bikes to bring with me and just what state of tune to bring them in. If there was a dyno shoot out I would just have to bring "something special" |

I'm tired of the snow, thought the great melt had begun, actually was down to bare concrete in front of part of the garage, but then the additional 15"+ hit this weekend. Got the bagger partially disassembled doing a few things to it, need to do some Buell work as well, hopefully the worst of the winter weather is behind us now. Any raw guesses if the H-D/HOG tickets will sell out early for August? |

Now that Aerosmith has canceled why would you buy a ticket? |

To get into venues and areas that are closed to non-ticket holding HOG members. Plus early admission to the H-D museum. Plus for the leather wallet thing. And preferred parking. I wasn't planning on going to the Aerosmith concert anyway, nor to Summerfest. So I guess the answer is "just because I want to". |

I'd love to go...that's all I've been watching the past few weeks...but I'm a poor college student and I'd rather put my money toward me being on the track but I'm sure the races will be awesome Matt |

Hey all, name's Tommy, I am in the Army and in Korea right now.I am from Milwaukee, I ordered a Buell CityX from here and will get it when I get home next June. Probably will be an 09' by then. Anyways, I am new to motorcycles but have always wanted one, just too busy in the Army, but now I am almost done and finally getting one. I have talked a little with Brian and he told me about the group, so I just wanted to say hi and hopefully get to know you guys in hopes of joining your group when I get home. I am a new rider so will be looking for anyone to ride with who can give me advice, help, hang out, w/e. Hope to talk to you guys soon! |

Long shot question here, but here goes anyway: I was at the Fleet Farm (or Farm & Fleet ) store in Menomonee Falls last night and there was a blue Buell M2 in the parking lot. Don't know who's it was. But on the right side it had a small skull with a couple of wires coming out of the skull and running up to someplace under the gas tank. I'm just curious what that skull was for. I didn't push it to find out. Don't know if it was for some lights, or an alarm, or a horn, or a remote starter button, or was just wired to light up the eyes in the skull. Anyway, just curious, and I didn't see anyone in the store who looked like an obvious Buell owner, whatever an obvious Buell owner looks like.

So... Who's going on the Slimey Crud Run this Sunday? Here's some details.... May 4th, 2008 We have two meeting places. 1st one is at Hals HD/Buell Meet at 8:00 kickstands up at 8:30! 2nd one is at the Kwiktrip on Hwy18, next to La Dukes custard stand at 9AM. With the help of Dave, I've compiled a bit of a different route. Brew City Slimey Crud Run http://rideplanner.harley-davidson.com/rideplanner /share/101405 |

Greg, I have not talked with Steve in a couple of days but I know that he's been busy lately. I'm sure that he will get back to you. No_rice, Sucks that you can't join us this weekend. I really wanted to check out that paint job. Guess I'll be the only 1125R in our group. No, I did not buy one. My 12S is set up for the track right now and I did not want to take the Road King so I'm borrowing the demo bike for the Crud Run. I know, my job sucks sometimes. Anyway, will miss having you there. Holy smokes! A CJ sighting.......... It looks like everyone had a good time on the Crud Run. Life got in the way, and I could only get out for a couple of hours in the morning. Headed east from here and kit some of the Southern Kettle. Saw a group of Harley riders gathering in Eagle. Some were on customs. One was based off of and XB12. Amber wheels, full buell front end, and air ride suspension. It sat on the frame instead of using a kick stand. Looked nice from across the street. Not my kind of ride though. |
