I had my surgery this morning, and everything went fine. I'm (mostly) awake now and not in much pain for the time being. Thanks for all the well wishes!
YAY, Sanchez!! I know you aren't new to surgery, so I'm sure you have your usual reaction, but day one was always good for me. Now, day two on the other hand, suck a big fattie! Get well soon, Dirty-Dirty
They just caught and armed robbery suspect down the road from my house!! I was wondering why all the TV crews were in the area. I had my surgery this morning, and everything went fine. Feel up for a LAN party? Colin is having one on Saturday. Counter Strike, I know will be one of the games. I got him Garry's Mod. That's way fun! Have you tried it yet? It's on Steam. http://www.steamgames.com/v/index.php?area=game&Ap pId=240
Just messin about the Ural... God, can't imagine the issues involved with a Depner either! The Ural Patrol is terribly interesting and proably a hoot to ride but I don't need to spend any more time wrenching. The top end of 65mph wouldn't cut it either for the morning commute to the airport but the machine gun mount definately would come in handy! Thinking hard on my next sled, hate to go foreign but they're aren't too many options. Buell and Victory no longer make anything that suites my tastes. Duc's are tasty but... (see line 3 about the wrenching) Thinking about the reliability of a BMW or (gag) Honda but most likely will end up with a Superglide.
Dan, got some good news for you. A guy on BSB who owns a construction company wanted my Road Atlanta track day, so I traded it to him for finishing the shed.
Man... I just had the best lunch break I have had in a while. One of the owners of the bar I work at called me and asked me if I wanted to spend lunch on a Ducati. The NPR guys are doing some work on his Monster and gave him an 848 loaner. He told me it needed some gas and would be obliged if I went and filled it up. So I took it out for about an hour and went and hit some of my favorite local roads. There was a lot of traffic and cops around so I did'nt get to pound her too hard. But damn, what a sweet machine. I could never be a daily ride but it would be one hell of a track bike. The Duc guys have been trying hard to convince me to go red. I love the machines but Italian just ain't my style!

You just haven't found "The One" yet. Trust me, once you do, nothing else will ever compare. I promise!
And as a daily rider, I'm loving my 996 more each time I ride it. Even when it's sitting still I love watching it more than tv. Always finding new small innovations about the bike each day.

You ever get the rest of it? I used to love Italian, but those little mustaches get bigger as they get older. A Ducati would be nice. Need a Sugar Mama first though. Now you're talkin' two maintenance nightmares.
Yeah, finally. Our friend Belinda left Home Depot to pursue greener pastures, and she apparently didn't leave behind any notes. I eventually found my way to her manager, and he cleared it up in a day and had the 2nd box delivered to me.
The rest of the construction turned out to be quite a bit more work than the guy expected. When I went out to chat a few minutes ago, he just looked at me and said, "Never again."
Oh, and one more funny: the door is on the wrong side. The 10x14 shed has the door on the 10' side and not the 14' side like we assumed from looking at the 8x10. I'll have to build some kind of ramp thingy.

I told you that thing was gonna be fun to put together! $199 for a shed. $1250 for installation. If he runs outa there screaming and it doesn't get done, lemme know. I'm fresh.
Even when it's sitting still I love watching it more than tv.
I can attest to this!! But, he did forget to mention the sponge bath he gave it last night. Even with a water ban, the Duc must be molested and cleaned daily.
Hey yall, just checkin in since I haven't been around in a while... I was on vacation last week (7 days at the Gap! with some buds from back in CT), and have been running around like crazy otherwise, so haven't had much time to post (or even lurk!). I did see Jess last night at bike night, and she reminded me about Matt, so I wanted to at least stop by and say 'congrats' on the surgery going well!
Got any pics from your trip BCool? I was slaving the entire time you were slaying. I would love to live vicariously through your adventure!
One of the owners of NPR came by to see me at the bar last night. These guys are really working me. Although it is not really working. I was told Buell's are simply a stepping stone to Ducati's. I bit my tongue.
Call me crazy... But I would rather have a Ford than a Ferrari!
The guys at NPR are pretty cool as far as stuck up socialists go. They have been do a lot of cross promotional stuff with the bar I work at. We have had a Hypermotard on our stage for a couple of weeks.
