One more reason I own a cookie cutter gixxer. Why, cuz they all crash too? Smokescreen |

No, because there's never any shortage of parts or tools. |

Ah, the price i pay to own an Italian superbike! Every time I hear those Arrows I remember why i do it! In the pits you can spot my bike immediately, not reference it as that black one over there. Smokescreen |

Nothing against your Duc, but for a track bike, I'll trade interchangeability for originality any day. I guess if it was a street bike I'd feel differently. My race plastics arrive Tuesday, though, so the gixxer is officially on permanent track duty. |

Oh, and for the record, my crash was my fault and not the bike's. It was purely my own bad decision, and a more expensive bike wouldn't have saved me. |

Dirty, Have you seen the bikes I have owned? Originality goes a long way with me. Suzuki makes fast bikes no doubt. You said it best, cookie cutter, just won't ever cut it for me. Guess I need to look at what I can dispose of to accrue available track funds now. I'm fortunate enough to have a plethora of Duc parts available at any time. Hell, I hit a f***ing deer and had parts overnighted. I just didn't expect there not to be any other Ducati's there at Barber. Maybe I should of just asked my local "experts"! Smokescreen |

goodness gracious! the hostilities! can't we all just get along??? sure the gixxer is fast and designed for street performance in its own generic little way....parts are easy to come by, kinda......and I guess they are priced affordably? the Duc, designed for the racetrack, beautiful designs, world wide race history and titles to prove it, not everybody has got one....hmm what were yall arguing about again? sorry Sanchez...how ya doin man? Jessica giving you a daily a$$beating? |

Here's an original track bike I saw at Jennings last weekend:
It's a 40 rwhp Blast with a firebolt fairing and some proper rearsets fabricated. |

> Why, cuz they all crash too? Phil, all I can say is that you'll be where I am one of these days. If you keep riding on the track and keep pushing the pace, you'll go down. It happens to everyone eventually. I hope that day never comes for you, but if it does, I certainly won't rub it in your face because I know how bad it feels. I have a good sense of humor, but sitting here in my house trying not to move my arm and wishing I could be out on a bike, I do get a little testy. |

I'm sorry Matt. I have crashed, several times too. The Buell, twice, the Tiger, once, the Duc, once, my old RC-51, once. I know I'm not invincible. I don't claim to be. I was just rattling your cage man. I'll stop if you think i got personal. My deepest apologies if you took that as rubbing your face in it. It was all in good fun man. Smokescreen |

It's OK, Phil. I know you didn't mean it personally. My skin just isn't as thick as it ought to be right now. There's a really thin spot right around the collar bone area. :P
Sitting around doing nothing with a broken bone is really frustrating. I'll be in a much better mood after surgery Wednesday when I can start to make some forward progress. |

ha ha good to see that things never change on here. Sanchez has had an incident and the never ending battle of the inline 4 vs the twin rages on. Its good to have a bit of free time to get on here |

Phil, hey man it is Christian. I just picked up that 08' xb12s from you all. I thought Chris said you got rid of your Buell or maybe he meant you were just riding your Duc more. |

Echo, Phil sold the Buell. It is still in his heart he just has not figured it out yet (the duc has not needed a service yet!). (Message edited by new12r on April 28, 2008) |

Matt, +1 for the Gixxer's reliability!!! Looking for something more reliable than a Buell or a Ducati for my next bike, thinking maybe a Ural... |

Yeah, he may have some long term issues with "letting it go". Well if he ever wants another I have a feeling he could find a pretty good deal. |

"Looking for something more reliable than a Buell or a Ducati for my next bike, thinking maybe a Ural..." Frank,I know where you can pick up a slightly used Deneper.I also know a good parts source, willing to trade parts for good American jeans and cigaretts. Oh,you said more reliable..... |
