I'm in Minneapolis for a couple days so I know the snow depth and cold coming here. Look at these pictures from last saturday at my house in IL, the grass is green!. I can't believe how much of a difference there is. I was in Madison, WI earlier this week and it was plenty snowy there.   | ||

Eric, when are you going to the show? Julie and I will be there, we could hook up. Don't feel bad about not getting to the pub, I don't get there much, myself. By the way, nice bike. We still haven't gotten Julie a working bike, yet. Still trying to get rid of the Hondas. The plan is to get a Blast and eventually see if we can turn it into a Julie Uly. She's looking over my shoulder and saying "Hi, Eric!" Any time you're in the neighborhood, give us a call. And if you are moving back here, Julie knows of some nice houses you could look at. Brad, we still have to get together, as well. Have you tried Summit's new Extra Special Bitter? I could probably get some for you. Or maybe some Fat Tire. Oh, gotta run. Talk to you guys, later. | ||

I will be there sat and sunday. Wild Prarie Harley Davidson/ Buell opens this weekend. It is on Hwy 5 and 494 in Eden Prairie. We have some Buell items there, the rest is coming later. The vendors are taking there time in getting us shirts etc. Nils | ||

That would be great. We're going with Scott (CrashM1) and his wife. It's her birthday, so we're going out to eat after the show. You're more than welcome to join us. I'll have to show you my new toy, sometime. I bought myself a full 88 key midi controller to use with Garageband. I've been having a lot of fun with it. | ||

Sorry, not going to make it to MN. Travel plans changed and I ended up back in IL for a couple days. Of course not without incident, getting stuck in Arkansas for an extra night is not my idea of fun. I did stop by a dealer on the way to the airport and got to sit on a new bike. The dealer had the full range of Buells sitting right up front by the door, of course the roads around there are perfect for fun riding (http://www.pigtrailhd.com/)  I was going to say "Look at the new Buell I just bought" but then Brad would freak out before I could get back online to confirm that it was a joke. Don't be jealous of the Chicago weather anymore, I came home to a foot of snow and got a chance to use my snowblower. Remember the picture of green grass, here's the same driveway but not green.  Not gonna be in MN for at least a month, enjoy the MC show and the secret free gift! | ||

Nils, I'll take some pictures tomorrow and send them to you. Thanks for helping out. I know Julie will appreciate it, too. Since I probably won't be able to ride tomorrow, I think I'll start experimenting with my powdercoating equipment. Should be fun. If the snow's gone Thursday, would anyone be interested in meeting up at First Thursday? I only made it out once last year, and I'm going to try not being such a recluse this year. I can stop out for a while before heading off to work at the pub, so it could involve my buying a pint or two for anyone interested in stopping by. By the way, Nils, I ran into Yates there last year. Haven't heard from him since. On another note, a friend of mine is looking to sell his Monster (I believe it's a Monster Dark). If anyone knows anyone that might be interested, let me know. He's asking $4500. | ||

First Thursday, man I can't believe it's already time. Especially with 6+ inches of new snow on the ground. This sucks. Nils, I'm going to try and stop by on Saturday, I'll look you up. I didn't get a chance to ride an 1125 while at March Badness this weekend. I rained HEAVLY on Saturday when the demo truck was there. It would have been a HOOT to test ride on on Hwy 60 in GA. We finally said screw it and went riding in the rain anyway, but no demo bikes were allowed out... Brad | ||

I'm afraid to demo an Eleven... I couldn't live with the lust - its better not to even start flirting. I need to get another year, at least, out of the S3. Ann is talking about buying my old Blast back from the dealer this spring too. If she does that, I'll probably hold off on a new bike for myself for 2-3 years. But that's ok. The S3 is holding up great - except for the saddlebags.... Might have to upgrade the stockers... Hope to see you all sooner than later. Hey Nils, are you still thinking about moving south? | ||

Made it down to First Thursday. Not as many bikes as I had expected, but it was still good to be there.I only saw three other Buells: a 12R stopped by for a bit, but he didn't say hi, a Uly, and later down at Bob's an 11R went by. | ||

Yep, that was my blue 'Bolt. Unfortunately I won't make it out to Wild prairie today, have to get some sleep before work tonight. On the other hand, Scott (CrashM1) and I were planning on getting together for a ride a week from tomorrow (Sunday). Any a y'all are welcome to join us. Brad, still haven't had a chance to play with the powder coating equipment. Stopped by Harbor Freight yesterday and picked up some cheap flat black to practice with. I'll let you know how it goes. Karl, did some experimenting tonight. I might be able to get the hang of this. What kind of color were you thinking of? www.eastwoodautomotive.com has a good selection of powders. Julie and I were thinking of having a season opener barbecue this Sunday following a ride with CrashM1. Anyone who's interested can come, just let me know so we can get food arrangements taken care of. I'll have some practice samples by then. | ||
