Hope everyone had a great Easter! As you can see i've added some new threads and am workign with Blake to do a PBR cleanup. I also spent some time working on the membership cards, and think we have a much better design for the second draft. PM Me if you want a peek... C ya all soon! Oh and Brady, had a great time doing our lowspeed drills, even though I allmost droped my bike a few times and had the rear tire off the ground a disproportionate ammount of time! I may be able to go fast, but Damm son, you can go SLOW! (Message edited by Borrowedbike on March 23, 2008) |

Howdy all, It was good seeing everybody (almost) again Saturday. After a LONG meeting I did get the chance to ride--the 1125R with Paul to keep me company. Some thoughts: Cornering: The bike struck me as very well balanced. It leaned in and out of turns effortlessly. Power: At first I wasn't that impressed with the bike's power. Then I realized I was only revving it up to about 7500. When I accessed the next 3000 rpm, I changed my mind. This thing rips! Very little vibration before 7000 rpm, but after that the bike starts buzzing like a magic fingers mattress. Brakes: In the short time we were together, I fell in love with the front brake. Incredible stopping power, incredible feel. The brake does bolt right on the XB, right? Overall: A heck of a lot of fun. I haven't ridden long enough or broadly enough to have anything comprehensive to say, but the bike felt great. Can't wait to get one on the track. PS - A big thanks to Latus Motors for generously letting us demo the bike. You guys rock! |

Brady, you do realize to keep it out 5th or 6th I would agree it has a kick after 7500 rpm. But below that you got to keep in the first 3 gears. IMO Yes track day will be fun. Only two more months guys. |

I'll be taking the Demo to the Next Wong ride. Should be a great place to put it through tis paces on a route i'm familiar with and have riden on the XB a number of times. I should be able to get a pretty good assesment of the advantages in... +1 to Latus for setting up the Demo bike! |

Actually, I never took it higher than 3rd the whole ride! I didn't mean to suggest that the bike was not fast below 7000 rpm, only that it was comparable to the XB in that range. |

I would agree. Keep in mind our XB's have more torque then the 1125R. With the 1125 you pretty much need to shift your riding habits by about 3k rpm. Should be a fun track bike. |

Hey all, I need some photos for membership cards. Any photo you want, similar to a passport of Dl photo. PM me or better yet post it in PBR photo and I'll go collect them from there... |

Once again I was unable to attend the last meeting so I'm feeling a little behind. Does this mean we're going ahead with some kind of official membership card? It would seem like at this point Aron would have pics of everyone already. He's kind of like the official PBR photographer. I know I have a small collection of pics from him. |

We are moving on the membership cards, in fact I have them designed, just need photos of each (Think Passport photo) and to print them. Anyone have a high quality color printer? |

Jim, I do have pictures of our rides but most of them are of bikes . Was not paying too much attention to riders. What we need are good face shots of each one for the photo ID. I can look to see what I have but you may have something you like better |

Got my Pazzo levers in the mail today. They look slick! Thanks again for your old bars, Aron. I have them on now and am just finishing getting everything mounted. I am going to try barends, but all the bike shops seem to be temporarily out of the third eyes I want. Oh, and I got a conventional front fender to try in place of the beak. Hopefully I can show you all the new look on Saturday? |

I sort of liked the Beak... Try REI if yo haven't already for the mirrors, they tend to have then in stock. And send in a photo! |

Battery died on the V-Rod and it would not charge. Got a new battery under warranty but it's not fully charged out of the box (strange) Well hopefully it charges over night otherwise I will be tearing her down again to get the damn battery out. |

New battery is till shot. Only indicated 10 volts out of the box. Jump started it hoping the bike would charge it. While running I was getting 14 volts so took it to work today. Got here now its dead as a door nail. New battery not taking a charge. Paul, no it was not me on the Yammy. I rode the Buell yesterday. |

Yup it sure does. Harley came with their trailer and picked up the bike. It's all fixed now and ready to go at no charge. My wife has to pick me up and take me to get it though. What's the odd's of two bad batteries in a row! Nothing else wrong. |

Hey, I need to put the new pads on the front. What's the manual say? Looks pretty simple... |

Yes they are very simple. I didn't follow the manual. I just unbolted the brake caliper pulled the pads out and slipped the new ones in. I had to force the new pads apart a little in order fit the caliper back on the wheel. I believe the manual says to take the break reservoir lid off to make this easier. |

Well, todays ride was fun, what with the snow and all... The roads were great if just a bit dirty, but then -(minor) disaster. after a great ride i laid down my tt while turning into my driveway! I failed to notice an oncoming car (which was being driven by a ducati rider), and jammed on the front brake too hard, bang lowside! no injuries, but i broke my shifter and peg (sound familiar Aron?) does anyone have a peg i could borrow for a week or so, till Latus can order one in? I'm gonna hack together a shifter temporarily, to get to work. Gene Lewis |

That suks! Can you use the passenger peg temporaroily? Oh wait the tt has none. You can try my passenger peg. It is not the lowered peg like the stock driver pegs on the tt and ss. But it may work temporarily. Let me know or pm me and I can probably ride over later tonight with it. 503 504 3568 |

Hey sorry to hear that but I have spare rider pegs that you could borrow, passenger pegs work, a little weird, but work...I had to use one once on a track day. Am leaving for a ride around 5:30, call with the address and I can bring them by. 503-740-1283 |
