Thanks Drake, Well I have already started the tear down. I think the bike was in Sam's garage for mmmm 2-3 minutes before I pealed all of the paint off of the tank. It was bubbling VERY VERY bad hard to see in the pics. I think Tim, Sam and I had all of the paint off in less then 5 mins. I have already got one tanked prepped for paint and I have a guy at work that can shoot auto paint looking to see if he can get a PPG color to match close. It will stay the same gray just get rid of that pirate flag. Also there will be the chain conversion, crg bar end mirrors, and a set crossroads clips ons for sure. That will all be done before it hits the road. |

Matt, Sweet find on that bike, looks like that thing's gonna be fun to ride! Actually when I did my chain conversion, I found a sprocket with bearing at tractor supply and just used the stock idler arm. At the same time, picked up some spacers and a bolt that fit thru the bearing. That was on my xb9 anyways... So what is Sam gonna ride this year? Sounds like just about everybody's got new bikes. |

I may be way behind here, but I was researching the VDST and Direct-link thing recently and discovered a freeware version called ECM Spy (google it). Have any of you guys tried this? I downloaded it last night and have read the documentation. It looks like the real deal. I ordered a cable from Mouser this morning. I have a connector on hand. Worst case, I will have built the cable I intended to build a year ago when I started to design my own software tool. Best case, I will soon be able to reset the damn TPS myself. Worst best case, I will totally efff up my mapping. |

I just reset my own TPS and AFV for free. Well, it cost me $25 to build the cable, but that was it. |

JJ- Congrats on the new boy Jesse! Lowflyer- That's cool. Its satisfying being able to do all (or at least most) of your own maintanence. |

I know it is funny as hell to see them get all worked up over a bike they did not want. No worries it is not going to be chopped. As a matter of fact it is going to be back on the road here very soon. I will be sure to put up some pics. |

Well, I sold the bike about an hour ago..... I'm going to be sad to see it go when he picks it up next week, but it will be a good feeling to not make the payments anymore. |

Wow, that video is funny. How could anyone be that bad? So I received a notice from my school that they would be letting my student loan company know that I graduated yesterday. It is kind of funny that I received that letter the day after I sold the bike. I guess I'll be trading the car and motorcycle payments for student loan payments a little quicker than I originally thought.... |

Yeah, I guess I do have that JJ. Hopefully the Master's will pay off down the road. The guy picked up the bike today.... I thought he was going to crash it as he was leaving the parking lot. When he turned out of the lot the bike fell in to the lean faster than he was ready for and he over-corrected and almost rode it in to the ditch. I hope he takes the MSF course and wears the gear I sold him.... |

Well guys, keep an eye out for my old bike because it has already been stolen from the kid that bought it! It was stolen from his apartment in Mission KS. I guess it has a little rash from where he had already dropped the bike on the right side. So in only two days it was dropped and then stolen.
