Hi all! I was in Factory Motor Sports in Oregon City the other day and they were handing out flyers for their Season Opener Party and wanted me to invite you all. There will be refreshments and lots of bikes. 1301 Main St. Oregon City. They also wanted to mention that they are having an iron man enduro for those of you on the Ulys. on June 14th. Hope to see some of you buellers there! |

To follow up what Julie mentioned check out www.factoryms.com March 13th is the date and check the "riders area", a lot of good links are listed in there. Aron, saw ya on the V-Rod yesterday. How are the pegs doing after the german assault. I'm heading over the hill today. |

All, sorry, was in a hurry when writing that and didn't give enough info. Swede, Yup, still have them both and have been riding, we just have unpredictable weekends and have not been able to go on the rides with you guys. Tony still has his Street Rod and Gsxr too. Looks like you all have been having fun though!!! Can I still sign up for the track day or is it too late? LOVE TRACK DAYS!!!! I usually do Motocorsa ones but I'll try one through pssr. |

Julie, (And any other persons pondering membership!) Here's the deal on the track day and PBR. Latus scored us some PBR discounts that bring the cost down to $140 for the first (I think) 10 to sign up, at last count there were three left. Since Latus provided the discount, is bring the amenities (Chairs, tent, tools, Race trailer) they have asked that these are exclusive to PBR members on Buells. As a group, we decided on a one time PBR membership fee of $50, which nets you lifetime membership and access to all the sponsored events (Remains to be seen what this entails, a PBR / Latus t shirt, and Membership card (Still under development) and a vote at Formal meetings to help guide the future of the club. Total cost would end up $190 for a PSSR day, but has added benifit. A regular track day through PSR is still $210, so it's a bit cheaper. NOW, if Latus can manage it, and they are trying, they will have an 1125r for us to demo on the track, and Tripp Nobles will be there to ride with us. we have no solid commitment on either of these items but are working them. If you'd like to join, we'd love to have you! If it's not your style, we understand, and you are still welcome to come out to PSSR on the 3rd and we'd love to see ya! |

Julie, I believe Kenny still has a PBR registration form. I will have to look into it. The PBR/PSSR registration is a Buell only event sponsored by Latus and requires PBR membership. Should be cool. We will have our own spot with trailer and hopefully the 1125R to demo on the track. Paul you beat me to it. (Message edited by xbswede on March 05, 2008) |

I'm checkin in! Stitches are out, and I'm onto strecthing exercises. Swelling is way down, doctor said no load on the hand for 6 weeks, but all looks good for now. Part Cyborg now. We have a dedicated 1125R as a Demo over at Latus, please take advantage of this oppurtunity. If you go over there, please see Jason Farmer and mention you are a PBR member and take it out. I spoke with David Edwards today at Cycle World, he's interested in 1125R feedback, let's give it to him! Ride the bike and I'll see if I can arrange some of your input via CW's online blog, that would be cool. Kenny |

SWEEEEEETTTT! Glad to hear the hand is so much better! and look forward to some more turns with you. I'm still serious about the help at your place if you need it! As for the 1125r, Great news and Great work! Should we consider bringing non Buell riders, who are serious sport bike riders, with us so we can try and sell a couple bikes? I don't want to flood Jason with test rides or anything, but we already own Buells . Shall we try and get a few Non Buellers on the Demo as well and sell more? Any Criteria Jason would like to see? |

Had some spare time and called Latus for a 1125r demo today. Bottom line is the bike is just plain smooth. At first sitting on it I thought maybe the suspension was going to be to stiff for my liking, wrong. The suspension is great and the bike felt like glue. The shifting is deceiving because there is no klunk, but I'm sure I could live with it. The bike is very neutral and light at parking lot speeds, so of course at speed it is just as nimble. You can really feel safe on this thing and track days will be heaven for you guys if it shows up. My advice would be to get the first ride and then let them black flag you until the gas runs out. |

I took it down redland road to Redland and turned around. I was solo and didn't have a lot of time left to screw off considering the trip to Gladstone and back to the westside takes awhile. |

For people interested in that price range there is also Frank Thomas at Cycle Gear stores. Always nice to try it on before you buy it. |

While my wife was resting today I decided to head over to Latus to test ride the 1125R. I agree with Philip. The transmission is much smoother then the XB. Down shifting is super nice and up shifting is improved a as well. Much closer to my FZ1 when it comes to shifting. As a before and after comparison I rode the FZ1 to Latus because power wise they are very similar. Only off by 4ft/lbs of TQ and HP. FZ1 150hp/78tq vs 1125R 146HP/82tq @10. I also wanted to see what potential I4 buyers might feel going from one to the other. Since this bike should be able to convince some to switch. My ride consisted of 40 miles through Redland towards Esticada and back, about an hour of riding. My impression of the 1125R: When I first sat on it and took off down the street I felt a little uneasy at first because the riding position was so much different from my other bikes. After about 10 miles I was very comfortable and really can appreciate the seating position for cornering. The bike really inspires confidence in corners. Power is great as long as you keep it above 4500 rpm, especially 1-3. The other three gears really feel like over drive gears. Not even sure when to use 6th other then on the freeway at 80 mph + for gas millage. The torque is very good in the first three gears. Just like the XB except the fun lasts a lot longer in each gear which really gives you nice rush. The XB lacks that pull you off the rear seat feeling which the 1125R does a nice job of with it's extended rev range. This is in the same category with my FZ1. The Buell feels torquer and has a more instant power on when rolling on the throttle at 4500 rpm but speed wise in the same amount of time seems about the same. The 1125R gives you almost full tq already at 5000 rpm while my FZ1 needs to build up to about 7000k The front brakes are very strong. It was probably one of the first things I noticed and had to be careful with. It will stop you on a dime, rear brakes not much better then the current XB. My only real complaints is that the motors sound and exhaust. It really needs another muffler. Most of the time I could not even tell what RPM I was at because I could not hear the bike. Both my XB and FZ1 really really let you know when the RPMS are up there. The 1125R just sounds too mellow stock. |

I will need to upload your E-prom first so I can study the layout for a few days. It's not the same as the Race. I don't mind doing it. I have even thought about swapping my stock one back in just so I can get it tuned and then have a standard 06 ECM with a custom map as well as my Race. |

My Stock and your stock should be the same. We could "share" it and work on tuning it together. The drummers should not be too different and I can open up my airbox to closer match yours. If you download your stock and see where you think changes should be, make a few tweeks, I'll run it and give you feedback. Seems liek a good way to devolep a pretty good map... |

Thanks for the shirts! I was proudly sporting my PBR shirt when I flew from PDX to Las Vegas and a gentleman stopped me and asked me for club info for his son who just bought a Buell. Pretty cool. When he asked for info it struck me that it would be pretty slick to have some business cards with our logo and web address to give out to interested parties. It would be pretty darn cheap and we could split a batch amongst ourselves. Thoughts? Brady |

I agree the cards sound like a great idea. We did bring this up at our last meeting as a Latus PBR card. But having our own as well may not be a bad idea. I just got back from the Bay area. Man that 80 degree weather was nice. Also saw one Firebolt. Watching all the bikes doing the lane splitting was little nerving. All I could imagine was a car not paying attention running them over. |

Sounds like a 200 mile poker run, a suspension clinic and self organized group rides possibly to take place over a a 4 day period. A Thursday - Sunday in late August. I will add it to our open events. |

I spoke with Dennis Pittsenbarger from http://www.milesaround.com/ today, and he is interested in coming to the track day on June 3 to film the Buell action, and 1125 demos, for his TV show. Anyone interested in arranging this with him? Who is the official contact for PBR? I won't be able to attend the track day, and my interweb access is spotty. If anyone doesn't know about Dennis/ Miles around, check out the website http://www.milesaround.com/ The tv and radio shows are friends of all things motor sport, and of course are sponsored by Latus motors! Unrelated, but also cool, my wife is soon to be trying out for the Rose City Rollers http://rosecityrollers.com/index.php roller derby, who are also sponsored by Latus. A group visit to one of their bouts (held at the expo center) could be cool. Next bout is April 19th @ 5pm Gene Lewis |
