Joel,

Sounds like you've shipped a few cables out - How much if I can pick one up from you rather than ship? I'm sure I'm no more than 10 mi. away. I've downloaded the software, just have no way to try it out yet, due to the lack of cable.
What is the idle mod for? I've had no issues with idling problems, or maybe I just don't know what to look for...

G, I can have one ready this Friday and meet you with it. $40 is the low price. I have been charging $50 to others to cover shipping to them and using Paypal. It fixes a lot of the idle issues people don't realize Buells have especially with the TPS and charging system and walking off the kickstand too.

Hey folks- back from riding in Mexico- what a great country. We are sponsoring the track day in April. It has been moved from Saturday the 5th to Sunday the 6th by SMRI. I will be meeting with them next week to finalize everything. I'll keep you posted, but it will probably look just like the last one.

Usually it is $70, if you buy early and 95 if you wait until you get to the track

Hello folks. I'm new to this list and I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. I'm the Sales Manager at Thunderbird Harley Davidson. I ride a Buell XB12X and I enjoy it very much. I'm also a member of SMRI and AHRMA. I have raced a vintage Yamaha RD-350 and currently plan on doing track days with my KTM-450. We currently have several new 2006 XB12X's available for sale at $7500.00 plus tax, title and license fees. If anyone is interested let Thunderbirdbuellman know and he will be glad to help you out. Folks- The track day is indeed on the 6th, tickets will be the same as last year as far as I know and we will be running clockwise (race direction). I'm in Scotsdale on a family emergency, but John is meeting with Dave from SMRI today to finalize everything. Should have ticket available Monday. Folks who don't live in Santa Fe will be able to purchase over the phone and have the tickets mailed. I'll keep you posted- I expect to be back in Santa Fe on Monday.

Track Day update-
We have the tickets in hand. The cashiers have been trained, but if you have any issues with ordering over the phone, ask for me, John DelValle or Mary Montoya. You will be able to order, pay and have the tickets mailed to you. As last year, if anyone buys tickets at the last minute, I can bring them with me instead of trusting the mail to deliver them on time. Also, SMRI raised the price of the tickets to $75.00.

April 6 – SMRI Trackday sponsored by Santa Fe HD/Buell
April 13 – Turquoise Trail
April 27 – Jemez Springs / Valle Grande
May 4 – Enchanted Circle
May 4 – SMRI Trackday
May 16, 17, 18 – Gateway, CO / Moab, UT with Colorado Thunder Club
May 18 – High Road to Taos (for those that don’t go to CO)
May 25 – Abiquiu / Tierra Amarilla / Tres Piedras / Ojo Caliente
June 1 – SMRI Trackday
June 8 – Cedar Crest (if you dare)
June 22 – High Road / Angel Fire / Black Lake / Mora
July 6 – Enchanted Circle
July 13 – SMRI Trackday
July 20 – Abiquiu / Coyote / Cuba (possible return via NM126)
August 3 – SMRI Trackday
August 22, 23, 24 – Annual Taos Rally (possibly to or from Chama)
August 31 – High Road to Taos (return via Embudo Station)
September 7 – SMRI Trackday
September 14 – Tres Piedras to Tierra Amarilla (lunch in Chama)
September 28 – Mountainair
October 10, 11, 12 – Silver City
October 26 – SMRI Trackday sponsored by Santa Fe HD/Buell


As you will see, I have also added each time SMRI is doing a trackday in Albuquerque in case some of you want to do that. According to Murrae, the shop is going to sponsor two of them. The first one is definitely going to be on April 6. The second one is definitely on October 26, just not yet confirmed if SFHD is definitely sponsoring that one.

I also added the dates of proposed joint rides with Colorado Thunder Club.

Just an FYI, for those interested in the track days, but thinks they can't afford them...

If you work corners for 1/2 the day or all day, at the track days or the races. You earn SMRI track bucks, you can use those to pay for the track days.

May 16-17-18 Gateway CO./Moab UT. Weekend Ride,
June 21-22 Black Canyon of the Gunnison Weekend Ride,
July 19-20 Saratoga WY. Weekend Ride,
August 22-23-24 Southwest Regional Buell Rally (usually held in Taos NM.),
Sept 20-21 Steamboat Springs Weekend Ride.

Hey folks- a reminder about the track days- we need to sell all the tickets to keep sponsoring the events. The dealership makes no money on either of these events and actually loses a few dollars since they supply drinks and food. The GM feels it's important for Buell and for our customers to have the opportunity to use the track.
The other piece of info is that the second track day is in September and CJ has it on his list and we are planning on sponsoring it.
You can order by phone anytime.
