OK, Newbie here.. In December I got my X-mas gift, a 2003 Firebolt. I bought it from a dealer that's a ways from me.. and I forgot to ask about local BRAG clubs. Where are the CURRENT local clubs out of? Buells web site only lists some in Southern VA. I'm in the North. The only reason is that I'd like to have some contact with other Buellers, since my 'local' riding club thinks I'm just weird for riding a bike they think is too small for me and very odd.. hehehehehe.. Of course, none of them are ready to try me on the back roads.. not when I've already run away from a couple of them while NOT trying too.. Thanks..

Hey, Just wondering.. Anyone From the area heading down to VIR for the CLASS School w/Reg Pridmore on June 23rd? I'm taking it for the first time (first class, first time on a track), just curious if I'm gonna be the only Buell there.. Or will there be another Bueller to hang with?

Hello out there!! Anybody out there tell me when the rides are for the Buellers near the Battlefield Harley-Davidson. I am looking for some organized rides as well as some rides for just shooting the sh%t.I just know it is going to stop raining soon, I am itching to get out and twist open the throttle.

To continue along my earlier post... I got back from Pridmores CLASS School and still have a grin on. That was one of the most enjoyable learning experiences that I've ever had. I posted a few pics in the 'action pics' thread. Now, all I need to do is figure out haw to practice everything they had to teach me without getting into real trouble with the locals.. Hmmmm.. I'll work it out.. Somehow.. I've written a 'basic' review or 'tale' of my day, just getting it all put together (adding the right pics etc.) then I'll post it or some such. Later,

I took CLASS in '99 at Mid-Ohio. What a hoot! I was driving around everybody in the Keyhole to see how far I could get down the back straight before they blew by me... I did the BRAG track day at VIR last year and had a great time as well. I have a melted patch on my 'Stitch to show for it... How fast did you hit on the front straight before braking? |

I think I topped out around 125 on the front stretch, then had to brake for that wicked turn 1/2 combination. Of course, by the time I was coming out of turn 2 I was doing about 70 again. The whole thing for me was a riot, I loved it.. I'll have to do it again next year. Hopefully for both days. Maybe, with some more Buellers just to help round out the field.. and give me some good folks to hang with for dinner and general good times.. later, |

Thanks for asking, Chauly She's doing fine, having trouble getting to sleep at night, but getting a little bit better every day. Her problem is that she's impatient and hates the crutches, so she's using them less and less and hopping around, which she is not suppposed to do. She's already looking into getting a 2003 SV, I keep "suggesting" that she get a nice laid back cruiser, but she won't have any of it! I have her bike in the garage, the more I disassemble it, the worse it looks, she bent it real good! |

Two things.. I second Lindas' "Boo".. Your cat carrier is impractical.. I'd prefer something like MotorCat to a med-evil device like that.. wouldn't you? Second.. My 'CLASS' story is up and posted in the 'Tales' section under 'Runs, Funs and Sums' please feel free to check it out.. so far feedback is good from everyone that's read it. Later, |

OK, as I think I've mentioned before.. In another life, I'm a Ride Captain with the Southern Cruisers Riding Club, Loudoun County Va. Chapter. On August 10th I'm going to try and combine my two motorcycle lives with a 'Sport Ride'. This will be a run through parts of NW Virginia into West Va. and back. I'd love to have a few BadWebers show up for a chance to meet ya and get a little support, since it looks like I'll have a very small chapter showing due to the fact that they are afraid of the Buell and what I may be doing with it. There are some really nice roads on this ride and I'm sure you'd have fun taking them 'At Speed' (nothing insane, but definately a little 'hooligan riding' going on) The Ride departs Sunday August 10th between 10~10:30am from Roy Rogers in Leesburg (located on business Rt. 7 'E. Market St.') in the Leesburg Plaza. If you are coming in on Rt. 7 or from Rt 15, it's on the right. There is gas, food and drink right there so it's a nice place to meet. You'll know me, the wife has made me promise to wear the one piece leathers (as seen in my track day story under 'Runs, Funs and Sums' in the Tale Section. Additionaly, I've mapped out the annual Poker Run being held on August 26th, and this has some great roads in it as well.. plus you could win some cash to make the ride even nicer.. For any more info, please drop me a line or just check out the website at www.SCRCLoudoun.com Later, |
