That was supposed to be his 12o'clock bar, but it didn't help him until 4:30. Oh well, you live and learn, or not. |

Hey All, it's been a long while. I am still trapped at work for another month. To save on fuel costs I have been commuting to work on the CG, that was until it wouldn't start for me to go home last night. The battery had been showing me the signs, and as usual, I was to stubborn to listen. Any ideas on where I can score a new one without going to HDHD? Mike - Sammy tells me there is a new TD (or TC can't remember) coming to join the corral. I've seen some wicked engine swaps for thoseā¦ Any way it will be great for the boys. As soon as this tax season wraps up we need to get back to it. Thanks in advance for the advice. |

J, thanks for the heads up. I will most definitely be there. Nate Dogg, how the hell are ya? The TD will soon be in the garage. No motor swaps for this one though, it is completely original, and will stay that way. On the battery front, if your stator/regulator isn't bad and it is just a battery you need you can get one from WalMart: Everstart ES14BS. I'd check the price along with the dealer though, don't now how much they run. |

When I did the TPS reset, they only charged half hour time, I wish I had the software for that, they are charging way too much for these services nowadays. 300 bucks for the 5000 mile service, 500+ for the 10000 mile service, these are motorcycles not mercedes. Gonna buy the manual and tools, then do everything myself now. hopefully HDHD hears that these prices are nuts. The guys there have been great, the warranty service is good, but cripes we aint rich boys out here. Sorry guys, just need to vent. |

Mike, Yeah I made it for the ride, roads still have ice melt on them so anything above 90mph or so started to get a little slick in those big turns...managed to avoid getting slapped by the Sheriff too so that was a plus. Bike is running great too so I was happy. Was nice to see another Buell out there also. (Message edited by lazyj on March 26, 2008) |

Well Ladies and Gents, I need to be realistic about my hobbies. I have made great memories riding with you guys, but I am simply not putting enough seat time in to justify hanging on to the bike. It's not fair to the bike. So if you know anyone who is looking for an XB12Scg, blue/orange, factory race kit, approx 5k miles, have them give me a call at 484-0777. Pics available upon request. Look on the bright side, if I am not getting my kiester kicked by a class V, you'll have a chase car! And if I hit the lottery and can afford all the hobies I want to have, you can bet I'll have a new one on order. |

Nate, this doesn't mean your lady won't ride with us does it? Just kidding ;} Hopefully the weather will finally start to warm up & we can get some more rides in. I will be back country skiing and staying in a yurt this weekend but will be ready to get out starting next week. |

Well her Sporty is on the preverbial auction block too. With our rafting and my desire to get back to hotrods, we've got to make room in the garage and the hipbank. So if you know anyone that want's to step up from a 9 to a 12 or wants a highly customed out sporty (883) have em call me. Thanks Bill and don't spend to much time in the yurt! |

Nate, what kind of hot rods you in to? I've been an addict for about 12 years now, since I was able to legally drive... |

Mostly blue oval stuff. Though I had a El Cam SS in high school which ate rear tires for lunch. I have had a 68 Must Fastback, sold it before the Gone In 60 Sec movie, wish I could get that one back. A 67 Merc Cougar that looked a hell-of-a lot better than it ran. I am talking with Steve Green at Green's Upholstrey on Fairview, he has a 52 Sunliner rolling shell that would make an insane little street rod. That's why the two wheeled hotrods need to go to an owner who will whip them like they deserve to be whipped. I have owned some pretty cool stuff but sold/traded em all away. Now it's time for me to get back to it. |

Nate, you could always go trade them in on a 1125R and just keep it in my garage. I won't have enough space in mine soon, but I could probably find a spot for it. Or you could go buy me this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2008-xige-S-CLUB-RA CER-1-of-20-FRESNO-LOTUS-CA_W0QQitemZ270222682778Q QcmdZViewItem?hash=item270222682778 Hell, I'll even settle for this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/07-BRAND-NEW-SUPERC HARGED-EXIGE-S-220HP-TOURING-PACKAGE_W0QQitemZ2502 28643384QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item250228643384 But, of course I'll keep an eye for a buyer for your bike(s). |

Nate, I made a short trip through the import scene a few years back, only took me a couple years before I came back to the muscle. Different story with bikes, just love the experience too much to be without one. The 1125r I think will be my last new purchase (only able to do that because I did well on the sale of my house I have a couple blue oval friends, dedicated guys. Worked on a buddies 64 1/2 fastback 2+2 for awhile, he got rid of it, wishing he could have it back now That sunliner would be a wicked cool rod. You have traditional, or modern preference? I had big plans for a 52 hudson, but decided to consolidate to just a couple, too many projects and not enough time/money to work on them all. Early/mid 50's stuff is my favorite, any make/model. I've been primarily a GM guy, but don't really have a preference, it's just what I grew up with. Just started re-doing work on a 54 GMC that I built/drove in high school. The last 6 years of neglect has not left it pretty, but I'm hoping to bring it back to it's glory. Keep us updated, I love seeing that old iron come back to life! Heck, if you need a strong arm, let me know, I could probably find the time |

I wish, actually its a '53 MG TD. My dad has had it for about 40 years, and he and I did a complete frame off resto on it about ten years ago. Now he is going to pass the torch down to me. So whenever the weather is nice enough to bring down, it doesn't have a top, it'll be my baby. Not quite a hot rod, but really cool nonetheless. |
