XBlaw, when you heading out for MBV? All, Whats the best cleaner to use to get ride of brake dust on the wheels (other than a wet rag) I'm lazy and rather use use and a cleaner to wash it away. The wife says to use regular dawn soap. |

fuddy, ive heard dawn soap works ok, i know a few years ago, dupont made a wheel cleaner that was supposed to work really really good. I never tried it though. |

Drfudd, When I bought my Uly the dealer gave me a Harley new bike kit with a small spray bottle of wheel cleaner that seemed to work pretty well. |

Matt, how about we meet Friday morning at the Burger King on Bacon's Bridge Road? (same place we met for the last ride) If we leave here about 9 AM that'll give us plenty of time to get to Aiken by 12 to meet Drfudd. |

Again, lets get a phone number list for the MBV. Shoot me an e-mail with your number and I will make a list. Sat. afternoon is looking the best. |

Still somewhat on the fence about this weekend. Awaiting an omen. I already have plans to meet friends at T.W.O. during the N. Ga Mtn Rally in May. I always camp and Saturday night is looking like one of those nights where they'll be dragging me out of the downstairs dining room when they close up. If I do go I'm going via Greenville to see a 55 year-old friend's new baby. Viva viagra! |

Weather is looking better. I hope we get a little wash to get some of the pollen off of the screets. A one inch coat of pollen does make the roads a little loose. Not looking like any gulley washers yet. Keep your fingers crossed. Also I only have a a few numbers for the weekend. Send em to me. We will get a time posted for the weekend, but it would be nice to have a directory. |

Temps look nice if they'll stay as predicted. Buell will not allow test rides if it rains, so pray for no rain. Last year, Saturday was clear and then rain (HARD for a while) all day Sunday. I took the long way home and went east over to highway 28 in Georgia, went north up into NC for a few miles, turned around and headed back to Walhalla, SC and on to Greenville. Was in cold rain ALL day long... Monday fortunately was beautiful for the ride back to Summerville. I'd take an extra day this year but I have jury duty Monday! |

Hugh, you be that good citizen. Have you gone through the "voir dire" (jury interviews) yet? I just wish for a little precip to wash down some of the pine tree love. That junk can be a dry lubricant. If I had to choose b/w heavy rain like last year's Sunday and no rain... I will take the latter. I was fortunate last year to only get a little wet on the way home. It was on our six the whole way back. Last year I lived in Athens so it was not nearly as long of a ride. Does anyone know if the 1125's will be in the demo line-up? I have already ridden one and not really interested in riding it under the hawk's eyes of the demo, but I have some friend's that are coming that are interested. I would imagine that the line for the 1125's would be ridiculous long. |

Hugh, I hope they've changed things since I had it a few years ago. If you make it through voir dire you are in the jury pool on standby and have to call in every day to check your status. I wasn't needed until, you guessed it, Friday. We got the case after lunch. At 5 PM we were still deadlocked, half wanting to give the plaintiff $100K and half wanting to give her $0. At 5:30 PM she left $50K richer. (minus 33%) We definitely had things to do and places to go. |

Xblaw - my understanding is that they have 4 1125r's on the demo truck. I would sign up early. We start taking names at 9:00 a.m. each day. |

I can imagine that the roster for the 1125r will get filled quick. Maybe I'll just ride a Blast. That is a good substitute. HAHAHA Weather is still looking decent. |

Eryc & Jim, I just have to show up next Monday; I haven't been screened or anything yet. I was called up for magistrate's court a few years ago; that was no biggie. My wife was an alternate on the Cricket Sorrel murder trial several years ago. She had to sit through the whole trial; when it came time for the jury to deliberate none of the main jurors had been relieved so the judge told my wife she could go home. All that for nothing! |

As of today my AT&T weather report for Suches, GA is for Friday partly sunny, low 50 hi 70. Saturday mostly cloudy, low 43 high 65. Sunday cloudy, low 44 hi 58. With no mention of precip.... Yep it is funny how often forecasts will change in a week's time....and it makes a difference who is doing the forecasting too! (Message edited by rcontroler on March 26, 2008) |

Both Weather Underground and The Weather Channel are showing 30% chance of precip on Friday, 40% Saturday and 30% Sunday for Suches. If only it could be like the last couple of days here. A little chilly in the morning but afternoons were flawless! |

Is everyone down for meeting on Sat. in Suches around 14:00 for a ride or at least to meet? Any suggestions as where to meet? We can meet at my cabin off of 60 or at T.W.O. or at Suches convenience store or anywhere else for that matter. |

Matt, you're doing better than me. Mounted new rear tire and belt last Friday, checked bearings and thought they were OK. Pulled front wheel last night, bearings felt smooth as glass compared to rears which were not easy to turn. Ordered new Koyo's from Applied Industrial today; they'll be in tomorrow. Re-pulled rear wheel tonight in preparation for that. Now Etenully says notchy rears are normal, so now I'm debating leaving them in. Picked up oil and filter today but didn't get it changed. Sure could use the day off tomorrow but can't swing it, too much going on. I'll be ready Friday AM one way or the other... |

Hugh, if i have time and you need help, give me a call. So, i couldnt leave well enough alone, so i took off my rear wheel, one bearing was a little iffy so i repacked it. Took me a long time to get the axle back in, changed the oil, took it for a test spin at about 11:30, im sure my neighbors love me. Pull back in and i hear a terrible scraping noise. Pull the rear caliper off and pop out the free pad and realize that it was not aligned and that a corner had worn down to bare metal. This makes more sense since it was difficult to push arround. Oh well! put it back in, it still drags a little, but it always has. I hope thats it for the cyclone. Im ready to just ride and not wrench. |

I've just spent the last 4 hours trying to adjust the f*%king Barnett clutch that I put in my X1 this week. I rode it earlier today but the shifter was a little stiff at times and it would not go into neutral at a red light. So, with shop manual in hand, I attempted to adjust the clutch. No luck. I'm ready to burn this p.o.j. to the ground. I'm due to leave tomorrow w/XB law for Suches and have to work in the morning. Any ideas? Thanks, Jeff |
