Bill,
Park your bike at the Milwaukee Mile. Then give your Sunday tickets to me and I'll be sure the gate keepers at Veteran's Park receive them. I'll even bring back the ticket stubs for proof.
;)

But if you don't want to do that just ride east on I-94/794 and follow the leader. The guys with the coned flashlights will direct you.

Mike...Thanks for the insight. My luck I will be walking miles from the bike to the event. LOL

The inverse is, if something happens and I can't make it, the coupons are yours. So keep watching the Brew City Thread and the email address you have posted in your profile.

FYI, I would still call around to the other dealers to see if and when they are giving them out.

Got my tickets. Good thing I got in line.

If anybody wants to find me on August 31, I'll be down at the clusterflock by the lake for at least part of the day. But may be well away from there before the final act.

Bill,
Just tell the gate attendants directing traffic that you are there for the Battletrax. They'll probably be so flustered dealing with the traffic that they may just wave you through towards the main stage. <IMG SRC=">

BattleTrax...That's a good one. Sounds like it could be a warm up group for the Rolling Stones!!!

Incidentally, I have heard numerous rumors in "employee country" that the Stones are going to be the headliner on Sunday, so you may want to dress comfy and plan on staying for a show you will never forget (even if it ain't the Stone's).

Am not even going to ask how you got the coupons, but I just got off the phone with a friend that is at Milwaukee Harley and they are reportedly out of coupons.

Have a gut feeling that the dealers are holding back more than what they need for the radio and other promotions and are going to auction them off for MDA, which is a good thing.

A friend of mines dad will be camping (if you can call it that in a 38ft 5th wheel!) the week prior to the 100th anniversary activities. They are planning on arriving in the Milwaukee area on the 28th and need a place to park the truck and trailer while they stay at a hotel near the airport.

Does anyone know anywhere/anyone with the space to accommodate a 38 ft trailer and possibly the truck? As I said, they are staying in a hotel, so they are not looking to use the trailer at all.

Thanks for any info you might have!

Yikes...That's a big rig to hide. Will ask around for you and post here. Let us know if you find some place before we do.

Have a friend with the same size 5th wheel that has bike garage in rear. Wow, what a way to travel but what a pain to find parking outside of a RV park.

Jerry...Don't know if you caught this on the other thread, but just a reminder to do what comes naturally...Bring the First Aid Kit next week.

Thanks

Kinger,
The True Value hardware store in Thiensville has truck/RV/camper parking they rent in their back lot. Might be worth a shot to ask them about short term parking for the week or weekend. About 5 or so blocks north of Suburban Motors. The Prime Minister has decent food and fair prices just another 100yards or so up the street from there.

Hey Dana...That is what I love about rumors. Never know what to believe. Fortunately, we will all know soon enough.

Actually, Springsteen sounds more logical than the Stones. Let's just all pray that it ain't Minnie Pearl or some other awful act.

And just what is wrong with Minnie Pearl?
HowDeeEEEEEEE. ;)

The Springsteen rumor surfaced earlier this year several months ago, and so did the Stones rumor. Reality is it will probably be Aerosmith or someone else instead, maybe sharing the stage with Blondie and the Stray Cats. Could be ZZ Top as they've been seen recently in either a commercial or tv show (possibly about hot rods) and would fill the bill a bit. But in reality it's probably Bachmann Turner Overdrive followed by Eddy Money. (I don't spell names so well so if I misspelleedd some correct me. Haven't turned the spell checker on, not sure how.)

If its Minnie Pearl I will be there in a heartbeat. Always wanted to see someone rise from the dead.

If its the stones or springsteen...no thanks. I really dont care for either one.

Maybe the folks will be lucky & it will be Celine Dion & Yanni?

Personally I am betting on the stones being there. They have had association with Harley in the past. Ukes even has the bike they used for some tour deal that has the tongue painted on it.

Hell maybe I would see them after all. Isnt Keith richards already clinically dead & been embalmed for years now? Jaggar looks like death warmed over. It might be kinda neat watching some almost 60 yr old rocker who thinks he is still a 20 yr old stud muffin drop over & have a heart attack.

Poor old Keith...Living proof that "Better Living through Chemistry" is a myth. Now for Jagger...Leave my idol alone. Speaking of Idol, I am really miffed that I didn't get the three day pass as Billy Idol (another all time fav) is performing on the only day closed to the public. Bummer Dude!!!

Sound travels. Fence walk and binoculars. ;)

Is he down at the SummerFest grounds on Saturday? Or up at Wash. Co. Fairgrounds ClubHOG?

If he's at the summerfest grounds just rent one of those paddle boats and head out of the harbor and listen from the waterfront.

Nev . . .say it ain't so . . . you can't possibly be a Billy Idiot fan!

Keith Richards is my hero! than boy keep keeping on in spite of himself!

Springsteen puts on a great show, and is, IMO, the best American Anthem writer since John Phillips Sousa . . . . . since Harley ownership is a bit anthemic unto itself, it would be a great matchup . . . .

smart money's on Eddie Money, though

I just got off the HD 100th hotline and still don't know anything about who is playing at the party.

Must admit I don't care as it will be the greatest day this town has seen since...Gee, I don't think we ever had a great day. Oh well...
