Looks like the sunny muffins has a high resistance short. Brought the bike out, tried to start it and no go again. They already checked the battery. GOt to put it in for service and see if they can find out what's wrong. They'll do the brakelight switch then. Bummed out about the job. My internet connection isn't good enough to support it. So I am back at square one, and another 2 weeks down the drain. Probably have to find a pizza delivery job, so I can pay bills and live off of tips. Have no idea what that'll do to my schedule. I do have the telco coming out to look at the lines, and see if I can get reprovisioned. I'll find out tomorrow. In the meantime, I'll be around time permitting. |

Got the telco to help out, and got my job back. Worked all day today. Hope to take the Buell in next weekend. I'll have to drop it off. |

Sounds great. Right now I am still playing catch up, but I am hoping that I'll have some money to do the exhaust in the not too distant future. Sorry I can't make it tonight. I have to call Harley and drop the bike off, still has the charging issues. Been working 3 days so far. Like it a lot. Still have a lot to learn though. I am hanging in there the best I can. Thank God tomorrow is Friday. Weekends off, at least for right now. Once I get my schedule and work stabilized, I'll be sneaking out a little more. |

Stretch, Did you switch out the starter and fuel injector relays? I know this has been a weak link on more than 1 of my Buells. |

Harley has the bike now. I will find out something maybe next week. In the meantime, I am stuck riding the 2008 FXSTC I just traded for. I know, I have a problem. I can't stop buying bikes. I thought I could quit whenever I wanted, but it isn't so. I guess I'll have to work an extra year more than I'd planned to. And maybe another to buy accesories. |

Hey all. Been breaking in the FXSTC, so I haven't been out on the Buell yet, except to ride it home from the store. Running a lot better though, since they changed the battery out. Brake light switch is fixed too. Talked to Mikey at the store, and heard that someone may be doing some work on his bike. Expecting a full report soon. Did a ride down to Miami Beach today. Gotta love the women on the beach. Man, if there's one reason I miss that place... Anyways, hoping to see/hear from people soon. Been sending everyone down to Amos' and may be able to make the trip this week, weather permitting. |

don't get me started--that's like people asking how I managed to strip sooo much off of a naked bike!!! further blackening would include but not be limited to and in no particular order: wheel centers leaving just the lips gold frame and swingarm rear brake rotor unswept area all fasteners fork tubes triple trees handlebar clamps all cables hoses and brake lines, including fittings gas cap engine cases, jugs, covers and accessories area behind front number plate/shield exhaust wrap, pipes and muffler ...........I'm sure I'll think of more later and thats still what remains to be done!! thank god the tires and belt are already black-they would be difficult to change the color on. |

What's this primary swap? I thought all that you needed to make a 12 really hot was change to the 9 pistons. Have you read about this??? Anybody know it this works for tubers? The pistons are dirt cheap, if this would work on the tuber, NOW we're talking!!!! Clif |

I have XB9 primary chain and front sprocket which has 34 teeth instead of the 38 teeth of the XB12 which in turn creates a gear reduction of 11%, or in car talk its like switching from 3.73 rear gears to 4.11's--hehe--making it even more torquey at the rear wheel!!! yes I will lose top speed but 130+ on my Scg was always a lil fast for a bare bones bike--it'll still do 120 and if I want faster than that I'll just have to get an 1125R!! haven't heard the 12 to 9 piston swap--do you have a link |

Just took Sunny Muffins out for a spin. Well, the starting issues are gone with the new battery. But there's an added bonus. SPEED! Man, I freaked, just riding it normally, and it just jumps from 0-40 like if you blink. May not be as fast as some, but it's faster than I am used to it having been before the issue. Also, first time I have had it out since getting the new hog. I thought it needed air in the tires, but it checked according to the owners manual. I threw 2 lbs in each anyway, because I am not used to it, and the tires were warmer. I'll check them again before next ride. I also have to get a clear shield. Couldn't see anything with the tint, even though it's light. Old age is catching up to me. Hey, see that chick who ripped off the girl scouts? Funny as heck, I saw the video for what she said. I say we oughtta go back for the cookies. Give me Liberty, or give me Wood(s). http://www.wflx.com/Global/story.asp?S=7897972&nav =menu98_3 |

Not ignoring you, haven't had a minute. One of the websites was hacked, still not totally recovered. So we're busy... I think I read about it on Buelletinboard. 9 pistons in a 12. Result is greater than 12 to 1 compression (12.2 or 12.3). I did check price at HD, about $37 each, includes clips. I don't think it included ring set. |

Had the bike out tonight. Idle was high, about 1600 rpms. I shut it down after I got back to the house. When I restarted it to put it up, the idle was right at 1100. Could the computer have been learning again after the battery change? If so, do I need to do a highway run? There's always tomorrow for that. Temps in the 60s, expected to be clear. |

Brandon, Tonight is Fuddrucker's (amos's now. Straight north on US-1 till you see a KMart on the left. There are at times a good crowd. Almost always Torq. Stretch is a regular. I hit and miss. Others come and go. The Buell scene is pretty active down here. If you see Torq, get my cell from him. Clif |
