That was one H_ll of a storm last night and early this morning. Charlie and Sam, Glad ya'll are back at home, safe and sound. We missed having ya'll at the Mellow last night but we know your beat from the long trip. Dave and Amy joined us, theirs always next time. Miss Azz is moving, we need to rally up and let her service us.... whoops! I mean serve us one last time. I hate to see her go, but I always enjoy watching her walk away. Smokescreen, Good luck Duc' hunting. Hey Ratyson, I use to order from the Lilburn M_M all the time back in '04 |

Looks like some good Dual Sport riding downtown Atlanta this morning. Is Lightning Dave still with us? CNN center is missing a lot of windows. |

I found a new ride! Gotta negotiate all the goodies I want it equipped with. 2001 748S with a 853cc big bore kit, full Termignoni stainless pipes, 5 spoke alloys, and Ohlins. With only 700 miles on it. It's F****ING YELLOW!!! So that will be on my list of 1st things to do. I'll get a spare set of bodywork to repaint so I'm not too worried yet. Should have it by the Badness. It'll be like my old XB9, except it revs to 11,250 RPM and makes close to 115hp to the rear wheel! I'm so excited I can't stand it! I'll post pics as soon as it's official. Smokescreen (Message edited by Smokescreen on March 15, 2008) |

The storm passed by while I was at home sleeping. There is one hell of a mess downtown today. No systems were affected by the storm, thank God! |

Good deal L_Dave, glad you still have a place to work. Phil, Is this the same bike that one of guy's from Cycle Gear is selling? George maybe? H_ll can't remember everyone's name up there. Anyway, hope it works out. I'll have to drag you to one of the Ducati track days at Tally. I'll have you passing folks in corners and shred'n tires in no time. Then ya'll be hooked like the rest of us. You'll be a TRACK JUNKIE (Message edited by shred on March 15, 2008) |

Shred, Nope. It's in a secret location. It's actually in Cumming at a Ducatist's garage. It's actually parked next to Ben Bostrom's MotoGP bike. And I think I can manage passing who I need to, when I need to. But thanks for the offer! Now you can all play follow the Ducati. Smokescreen |

You got it Phil, I've know you can pass on the streets. I didn't know you'd been to the track before. My bad... Seems like faster I get on the track the slower I get on the streets. After having my registered motorcycle license for 18yrs I'm always learning something and trying to improve my skills. Maybe if I "play follow the Ducati" you can teach me something. You get the Duc' and I'll sign you up for the Ducati track day. Ducati 800= about 74hp Ducati 996 + big bore kit = about 124hp give or take. 50 hp gain, that should give you an advantage. Just let me know when your ready. I'll be waiting! I like the chase, its not always fun being in front. Ben's GP bike? |

Ben's GP bike? Yep. And as for the track, I'm game! Just don't be slacking the day we decide to go! And it's not a 996. It's a 853! Big bored 748. It's got all the goodies, so it'll be a hoot for sure. A.T.D. did the engine work here and it's mint! I get the joy of finishing the original engine break-in, ****. And don't worry about being in front all the time, I'll show you the faster way around. Smokescreen |

Awesome find Smoke! Those are some beautiful bikes. I actually love the yellow... it suits the bike IMHO. How did you guys weather the storms?? Saw the pictures of downtown on CNN... Holy crap! That is the kind of stuff we get here on a normal basis during the storm seasons. Hope all is well! |

We're all o.k down here in the ATL area. Glenn, I understand, see ya soon. Sounds good Phil, Can't wait. I must have been thinking about the 996S you had your I eye. Never been worried about being up front all the time. Thats no fun, at least for most people. Can't wait for you to show me a faster way around. Sometimes your just too much Phil.... Ok, with the addition of the TTR and Jessica's bikes, my garage situation is officially ridiculous. It's time to build a shed. Anyone available to help out this weekend? Hot and cold running pizza and all the beer you can drink, as per usual. |

The Uly's got a new look:
Hero Blue translucid airbox cover, black seat, and black flyscreen to go with the black wheels. It looks pretty sweet, especially out in the sunlight. |

Hey Hooligans, Well this past weekend was my first track day in my mustang... As many of you know, tracking a car is SOOOO much easier than a bike... I felt like I was having a sunday picnic in the car... which is good because I'm fast... The group I am racing with is running in the 1:24s and 25s in their fully prepped race cars... My stock Mustang with tires, 120# underweight, and maybe a few extra horse 10-20, pulled a 1:28:914... and within a second of that on traffic-less laps... I impressed a few people and hopefully scared a few more... Thought you guys might be interested... Hope everything is going well for everyone.. I miss you guys, and wish I could be there to celebrate March Badness... Ya'll drink one for me!!! |
