Hey Guys I'm here, just trying to figure out how to ride the bike & ride the snow both this weekend. Right now the call is tomorrow afternoon north of the freeway on Black's Creek rd. There is still snow there & the reports have been that this is "the place" hope to go out & will report back. Snow should be ok for at least this weekend. Anyone else interested? about time to get some bike rides on! |

I got some time on the saddle today, actually rode by blacks creek. There is a bit of snow of north, but was melting pretty good, lots of sand. Found out the 1125 will go way over the speed limit in 6th, still staying below the 6k breakin limit |

Jeremy, I kept the dual outlet pipe for you. HD in sandy Utah bought all my other pipes so I will soon be putting my welding hat back on. Also this weekend at the snowmobile park on HWY 20 there is a competition for snow kiting (Google snow kite Idaho) there is a race and they built a 20 foot kicker. I will be bringing my camera! |

How's everyone doing? I am coming up on my 20K service on my Uly and wanted to bounce some things off you BABers. The four things I can't do myself are; Timing, TPS Reset, Fork oil/seals and Steering head adjust. I was just quoted that these four things require a grand total of 5.3 hours time. WOW?!?! Seems a little excessive. Here's the breakdown: Ign. Timing = .3hr (ECM breakout box and volt meter) TPS Reset = 1.5 hrs (VDSTS on Dyno) Fork oil/seals = 2.5hrs (special tool and a few basic inexpensive parts) Steering head adjust - 1hr (resistance measure and adjust) Around $400!!! For a fraction of the 20K service procedures required! People would never buy cars if they had to pay this much to service them...at 20K none the less. Does this seem excesive...any thoughts or alternative approaches? At this price I would have to be a chump not to buy the tools (I've priced them, easily less than $300). I won't need a dyno...I can take this on the street with a $10 used Palm Pilot. Hey let's all pitch in and buy this stuff...figure it out and between Coturi's tire machine we could really git'r done. Every 6 month's we could have a weekend maintenance retreat and take care o'biz. (Message edited by tnash71 on February 26, 2008) |

The tps reset is a half hour job from the dealer, so they must be mistaken. And, I've already bought enough damn tools. |

Bill thanks again for a great pipe. The only complaint I have so far is......now I have to listen to all the IL4 riders whine to me about how they cant hear their bikes over mine when I go by.....HAHA! |

I will try to get the company camera and take some pics. FYI to all you guys... HDHD is charging about $100 to do TPS resets. or 1.5 hours labor. RIDICULOUS! I dont remember who has the software to do a TPS I think CMS (CHAD)??? Anyways...I'd be interested in giving you 50 bucks if you can hook me up with a TPS JOB.
