OK, I spent the wkend with Mike and Bob, workin' on motorbikes. What a great time we had. Bob performed his usual miricles with the weldenator, creating a very cool race bike for Cody. He also directed me during the multiple fiddleings I was involved with on Betty. Redid all the intake & injector seals, got the re-built forks on (leaky seals replaced) new steering bearings installed; woowho sez I! Ron came down on his 1125R just to rub our noses in it  , and then he took us out to lunch, so all was forgiven! sooner, Galen | ||

It was a good weekend but that exhaust about kicked my ass! Two good friends made things happen in a big way. Cody called me tonight to thank me. (melt) New neck bearings on the BMW tomorrow and all is about done. batteries are all charged on the Triumph's. I kind of lurk on this section from time to time, and I've just got one thing to say right now: Bob, that bike is sweet, and the Radio Flyer on the tank just takes it over the top. Beautifull. Would you post up any details of the build? Very nice work, very nice result. Ten thumbs up. | ||

MikeJ, I checked your profile... sounds like your a fella with a sense of humor!  A little too far from my home to meet for a ride, but ya never know! As for Betty, she is a brutal monster. The slightest twist of the throttle and she tries to rip the bars out of my hands. I was foolin' around yesterday and saw some goob wobble around a corner in front of me. When the road got straight and he saw me behind him he hunched down and tried to blow me off. Not. Betty pulled as hard as his rice-bike and when we got to a bend in the road I burned right by him. Turns out I 'frightened' him, or so he yelled to me at the first light where he was able to catch up!  har, har, I love my bike! Eric, the beemer was running yesterday. Good to hear your work has been succesful, Bob. You da man! Life is good. Jaci's all repaired and returns to work at the end of March but still will not be coming to the Daytona party. Mostly, she says, as an LTD coverage concern. We're also out of town the weekend before and the weekend after so her presence at home minding (and chauffeuring) the kids is either an added reason or a side-benefit. I won't press too hard to find out which. I'm car shopping and should have a new-to-me PT Cruiser by the end of the week. (Good fuel economy for my 60 mile commute, good rear seat head room for the offspring, and a hatch for keeping the mutt off the upholstery.) Looks that people either love or hate. At my altitude, cars are always about what I fit into. Maybe we'll drive it down, if the boys don't have any more comfortable wheels. Which isn't to say that any of us are definitely coming or anything, as my mates are notoriously unreliable. Location,location,location. Where's the party? Will we be near Bob's? Does Bob know how to and have the time to weld a crack in my S2 oil tank? (I might get it fixed here real soon if the car dealing stalls out, as I'll need to run the bike to work next week if I haven't found a car.) I'm pumped about the Beemer, Bob. I'll give you a call later in the week. And Galen! Quit with the Betties! I was surfing at work the other day (in the dispatcher's office) and she walks in to see the pics above. I scrolled by them quickly as she says, "Hey! No porn." I scrolled back up to the one with her on the bike and said, "No its just a motorcycle site." She says, Oh. Its Betty Page. That's alright." Then she goes on to say, "My ex-boyfriend has a great poster of her. I'm trying to get him to give it to me." Hmmmmmmmm. |
