Tailspinning, or anyone else that uses the VDSTS -Standard to reset their TPS, I have a question. I have the Service Manual for my 07 XB9R and recently received my VDSTS, and have been reading over the directions. Step 9 of the VDSTS instruction states to, "select one of the modes from the tool bar (Ex. Gages, strip chart,...)". My guess is, though it will probably be obvious when I get to this stage doing the procedure, but just in case it is not obvious, or I go brain dead, which one do you use? |

Hey guys, I dropped by Thundertower HD/Buell outside of Columbia for few minutes this afternoon. They've got one 1125R in the showroom; it looks pretty sweet.
(Sorry for the picture quality; all I had was my cell phone.) Oddly enough they had NO other 08 Buells; they did have several 07's. The Buell T-shirt rack had disappeared; I asked about it and the girl at the counter assured me they had sold out of Buell stuff and had more on order. I'll believe it when I see it. |

Just found this SCBR page. Cool. I've spent some time on the BB&D page though. New Bueller here. Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Chris and I live in Simpsonville, SC (Greenville area). I picked up a 2008 Uly (the faster black) two days before Christmas. I don't plan on tagging the bike until March in hopes that the wife calms down by then. She is not happy right now. Anyone in the upstate, feel free to drop me a note. I do plan on going to March Badness, at least for Sat. since its so close. |

welcome Chris, theres a lot here that have the Uly, but everybody knows white is the fastest (joke around the board). all I had to do to calm my wife down was have her sit on it while I rev the engine. that made her happy I bought the bike, haha! |

Welcome Chris, I'm in Greer. I'm leaning toward MB. This weekend I was at the Cycle Word International Motorcycle Show in Atlanta and ran into a few BadWeber's. Kinda' got me stoked for it. That and seeing the 1125R for the first time. You know someone actually cut up an 1125 for the display ... what a waste! |

The Atl dealer where I got my bike had one. That bike is badda$$, but not what I wanted in a bike. The Uly seems to do it for me. |

http://www.thundertowerharley.com/photo_gallery.as p The website shows that a guy name Doug Alls purchased the 1125R. So it didn't last too long. It still seems Buell can't make em fast enough. its a bada$$ bike, probably more than I can handle. |

Are any of you interested in me setting up some folders for your Storm Fronts? On C3 we have Adventures, Pictures, and a few others. Let me know and I'll be glad to set them up for you. I can also make it where you can start a thread up above as well. Check out C3, Hampton Roads or NEBO for a few examples. Kristi |

Hugh, I remember you saying that your wife once made you a seat pad out of a sheepskin car wash mitt and a gel pad. I have the mitt but where did you get the gel pad? I have a friend who is "dating" a lady who has rental cabins in the Suches area if you guys need a place to stay. I did not ask her about prices. Do you already have arraignments made? What are the dates of March Badness? How many SC Buellers are planning to attend? Thanks, Jeff |

Jeff, I just used the sheepskin pad; no gel pad underneath. I have heard good things here about these gel pads: http://www.thepropad.com/c-10-polymer-inserts.aspx I'd guess this one is about right for your seat?: http://www.thepropad.com/p-48-kit-6013-small-polym er-insert-kit.aspx C3'ers are the "Carolina Corner Carvers", the NC Buell group. Link: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/ccc/ Guell and I are staying with them. They rented a huge cabin about 10 miles west of TWO. I stayed with them last year and they're a great bunch. Hugh |

When are you guys planning on Going up there to TWO, saturday or friday? and are you guys riding or trailering. Right now it looks like me and the wife will probably be coming, pending any sort of financial disaster, that sort of thing. |

Nick, I don't think Matt and I have really nailed it down, but I'm planning on riding up on Friday. We could actually swing through Aiken if you want to ride with us. I've ridden up to TWO four or five times now, and the time worked out about the same no matter which route I take. It's a tricky place to get to once you get into north Georgia too; you have to make a lot of turns no matter which way you go. I missed a turn last year and wound up ~15 miles off track at the Tallulah Gorge, which was actually pretty cool. |

according to google its about 4.5 hours from me, but thats google, and there is alot of mountain roads. I haven't decided were to stay yet, I was figuring on getting a camp site at TWO, all I need is a hot shower in the morning and I'm good. Although in order to do that I'll have to bring the tint and stuff in a support vehicle, might just have the wife drive the SUV. |

Hugh, looking forward to seeing you again at C3 Central. Also, a heads up to Drfudd. If you really want a hot shower at TWO in the a.m., you better be a early riser. Like say, 5 am or earlier. I've camped there twice. The bathrooms are clean, but only two small shower stalls in the men's bathhouse. TWO's campground will be packed this spring. |

Hey, I live in Carolina too, only not the yankee one, I'm a southern boy, ya know. lol Does that mean that I'll have to be accepted in the honorary class or can I just jump right in and enjoy the ride? |
