Well, I can't do breakfast on Sunday until at least the first of April. Saturday, on the other hand, can be worked out. |

Saturdays are fine. The next big question is where and when (precisely). Albuquerque: How about Flying Star on Coors and Alameda? Santa Fe: ? |

I really like the Flying Star on Coors & Alameda. |

Well then...good for the two of us. I can be there on Saturday morning. Any others out there? The Santa Fe crowd may not want to go to Albuquerque for a meeting. Any Santa Fe suggestions? N |

I have to check on this Saturday. Also, I'm open to going to a Santa Fe location if it's easier to get more folks involved. I'll send out an email. |

*** I like TRACK DAYS **** They help keep the cops away from the points on my license!!! As for roads, how about the high road to Taos. I took my bagger out on Sunday to Madrid and didn't like the changes made to the Mine Shaft. I think I need a new short mileage destination... Any ideas |

Well, for short mileage, we've gone south thru Tijeras down to the Ponderosa restaurant. I'm not sure exactly how many miles it is, but it's past the firehouse down there on the left. Past all the curvy stuff and on the straight part of the road. |

I have been there before and think it is a good choice. The mileage is short, but the curves are great. The food is also good. Any other ideas, something a bit further or undiscovered? |

Well, it's about an hour to hour and a half ride, but I like going to Mountainair. There are a few really straight sections, but that's no big deal. There's a restaurant down there who's name I don't remember that is pretty good. Turn right onto US 60 and then go around the curves. As you get to the end of the S curve, it's on the right across from the gas station on the left. Descent buffet, descent menu. Inexpensive Mom 'n Pop type place. |

I've got electrics, I'll ride down to abq. I did it a couple weeks ago just for grins. |

Last time I was through that area (Nov) the place along Rt60 looked closed. No cars - nothing. |

Can I come? I want to tag along and I am off this Saturday. I need to get away from all the madness in my life at the moment. |

Sure. The more the merrier. So... this Saturday then? I guess I'll have to take all that blue tape off my bike. |

CJ, You mean the track was the last time you went for a ride? Saturday... where/ what time? |

Yeah- When and where Saturday? I'll try to ride down. Kokopellis on the north end of Cedar Crest is an OK place. |

Have fun I can't make it this Sat. I've gotta go into work early. So I can leave early... I'm off Sat eve to Deming for a track day on Sunday. Murrea, maybe you could help me load the track bike before you head down? |

Yes, the track day was the last time I rode. I've been very busy with work. Even when I've had time, the cold has kept me in. I'm not into electrics and I don't have a lot of room inside my leathers to layer up. I don't even own winter gloves. |

So, when and where- I'll help Kim with her bike on Saturday morning and ride to the meeting. |

Well, I don't know if Kokopelli's sells breakfast, but if they do, that's cool with me. Otherwise, somewhere in Albuquerque I guess. Since Nick lives on the north side of town and Joel and I are in Rio Rancho, I'd recommend something like the Range in Bernalillo, or Flying Star at Coors/Alameda, or something like that. Thoughts??? |

I've never been to the Range. I'll give that a try if they have good breakfast. What time are we planning on meeting? |

Range sounds great- they have great chow there. Let me know the time. I wouldn't mind riding if it's not well diggers ass cold. |

The Range has decent breakfast. The Range, Flying Star, or Kokopellis are both OK with me. Pick one any one... Now for the real issue... time? How about 0900-1000Hrs? Murrae, Is that enough time for you to get down here? A late morning may allow the sun enough time to warm things up above freezing... |

BTW: Scratch my last comment about the sun warming anything up... It will be below freezing until noon or later! |

Well, I'll vote for the Range. I think 0900-1000 sounds great. Let me know how long it'll take for Murrae to get down here. I think the rest of us can get there pretty quickly. Joel: The Range is on Camino Del Pueblo (Main Street) in Bernalillo. Just go over the bridge on 550 and turn right at the second light. Go down past the fire dept and the town hall (on the right) and the Range is on the right across from the TnT grocery store. It has a big wooden lizard thing on the front. There is some street parking in front and also a small lot across the street on the north side of the fence that borders the grocery parking lot. |

Sounds good. I have a good idea where that is too. I've been to the town hall so it shouldn't be hard to find. I'll check in tonight and see if the times change, but otherwise I'll plan on being there between 9-9:30. |

I need to help Kim load her bike sometime Saturday and I need to see if Mabel wants to come along. 9:30 at the Range sounds good. |
