Author Message   Jpb Posted on Friday, November 30, 2007 - 01:55 pm:        So...it's time to be doing some planning... Who is considering March Badness &/or Buelltoberfest? One or the other as a group? Anybody considering doing both? How about places to stay? I think C3 is getting the same cabins up route 60 from TWO...I thought I saw a posting somewhere about NEBO getting a cabin up on the Dragon instead of in Suches... And an IT guy ('04 Ninja) in my office was talking about hitting the Dragon sooner or later, too. How many bikes can fit on that trailer of yours?   Jpb Posted on Saturday, December 08, 2007 - 06:39 pm:        That will depend on what I have for a trailer and a truck when the trips role around...I'm looking at the Nissan Titan and a new trailer - new trailer should hold at least 4 bikes and we could put a 5th in the back of the truck...all depends on what happens with money between now and March. If I'm stuck with the trailer I have we could fit your bike and mine but that would be it. Mike D from NY is suppose to do some looking as well. I don't know if he found anything as of yet. JUST GOTTA be able to make a Fire where ever we stay!   Baggermike Posted on Sunday, January 20, 2008 - 09:05 pm:        Hey guys greg said I should post a hi how are you doing guys thing, so I take it you guys are planning a trip to the dragon in march, I want to go down there but do not think march would be good for me, but let me know the details just in case, I got a new bike and not use to it and in march I still will not be use to it and that can be bad on a road like the dragon. anyway I have been a hermit and the warm weather will bring me out, hopefully get all my need to have items out of the way by spring so I can do lots of riding. so will see or talk to you guys later. (Message edited by jpb on January 22, 2008)   Tripp Posted on Wednesday, January 30, 2008 - 10:07 pm:        so what are we talking here wed - sun ? i hear this is an 18 hr drive - holy smokes!!   Baggermike Posted on Wednesday, January 30, 2008 - 10:29 pm:        did an 18 hour drive on the uly and it was a hard to do, almost 1000 miles from here to Niagara Falls and back, go on the iron butt site to see how to ride far safely, I plan on going down to the dragon toward the fall when I have ridden my bike all summer and know its capabilities and mine, I think it would be a mistake for me to go there in march, and as you guys probably know most of the bike accidents are at the beginning of the riding season, I want to take full advantage of my ride down to the dragon so I will do it after going to race school and then practicing what I learn there so I can ride smart when I do get to the dragon. Says it sleeps 4-6 but then there should be plenty of floor space for more. Initial posted cost would be $405.00 but I asked if they were willing to negotiate due to no bookings for Feb, Mar and April - their response indicated that the price could be reduced.
