Any of you in Saint Louis area around next week? Gotta travel out there and Monday could meet a couple folks for dinner and a brew. Can consider other evenings, flying back to LA on Thursday. Who's out there? |

Staying right by the Airport - Crowne Plaza - and yeah, I know the weather is c-c-c-c-cold. I just got back from Milwaukee last week in time for their first snow of the season. Hit town Monday 5:45 your time. Grab a car right there. Unless the roads are crazy/icy, I'm not against driving a bit. I'll have my trusty GPS too (trying to play with it off the bike too) |

What kind of food do you like and how late do you want to stay out? There's a Dave and Buster's across the interstate from this place or we can hit a real restaurant. |

I am suffering from a severe case of PMS and it looks like there will be a small window of riding open this Friday, 12/14...Soooo, with that in mind I'll be leaving from the Eureka QT at noon for as much of a ride as I can stand given the weather...Please join me if you are able to shake loose... Thanks, Bob |

Dirk - I think Buzzie(Brian) was referring to a rigid. Heck, done right it could be a really cool direction to take an M2 - so many end up just dying of old age. I have to admit to liking the look of a clean, minimalist chopper when done right. I'd like to see what he's got going !!! Not sacrilege, just different. (Whatchya got there Buzzie???) |

FL of course! The weather is great! The traffic is the worst I've ever seen! Damn it sucks around here. 30min to go 5 mi and I'm told that's not too bad. I think I'll wait on pulling the HeatTrollers off the FJR until it starts to warm up again ... |

well gang ..if you must know....I wanted the five speed... I have an 86 sporty. 4speed. that i put SE cams in ...did the thunderstorm heads a while back with the thunderstorm pistons etc.....and well the buell m2 came in ....TRASHED!!! i mean so bad the only thing on the bike really reusable is the wheels and some misc parts and the motor ..so ..i swapped motors cause I dont like the tube frames ...uncomfortable for long rides..I swapped motors and some parts etc...Ended up with a 97 M2 cyclone...a buddy gave me all new body parts etc for some trades...I have a 97 M2 with a 883 4 speed motor in it. still with the SE cams though. Gonna chop my sporty this winter and put the buell mill in it.....so far i only spent 1000.00 |

Hey Dwayne, Did the toolbag show up for the XB12Scg? Do the 1125Rs have a battery tender pigtail like the XB12SCG did? How many 1125Rs do you have? Thanks, Josh |

Change...Change...Change...We've moved tomorrows ride up to 10:00...Great weather predicted so come on out and ride... Josh...Heard from a little birdie that you have new wheels...I rode one today at Gateway...Tall first gear...Brakes come on in a big rush...The squeeze is not very linear...Great! Engine!...What a rush out on I-255...Darn good seat...The ergos are not for me...My neck was killing me and my knees probably would be after not too long...And I gotta admit that the styling is OK by me...I think those ram air dams make it look very sharky...BUT, you know this is just the starting point so let's see what comes down the pike in the future... So, Josh, bring the newby over tomorrow morning at 10:00... And thanks to Gateway for letting us demo the 1125... Bob |

When were you there? DaveO aka GixxerDave demo'd one with me around 1. So much for surprising you with a pair of '08s tomorrow... We plan on being there to chat, MbA doesn't want to do a real ride until she gets more seat time. |

D.P., You know, taking one to a MCRA track day is real smart...I am thinking and am beginning to sense that first the Uly, and now the 1125 are beginning to overcome the "old" reputation of Buells in the feet under (as opposed to feet forward) biking community...I think there were five Buells at the QT this morning...Mariabelen said it looked like the "old" days...Don't know quite how to take that ...Anyhow, I think the best thing you guys can do to promote these new bikes is to get them out there in front of the sportbikers...Let them see them in the real world... Oh, and Mariabelen, I love your new ride! Thanks, Bob |

Dwayne, I didn't get the manual and paper set (I think there's a Pirelli booklet and other things) with my bike. Can you set it aside for me somewhere? Bob, Hopefully I'll be able to go run with you guys next time. Who was the other group that was there? Dalton, Know a guy named Henry Roblek? |

Josh, The other group there was the St Louis Area Riders...Generally they have a bit younger demographic than the HSTA but there are several members in common to both...They're a good group of rides and there are a lot of very skilled riders in that group...They also try to do a good job of identifying riders that are new to them and try to keep them from riding over their head...But, like us, some of these invariably slip thru the cracks and some, unfortunately, end up hurting themselves...I know that you noted their attire and how serious they are about safety...You could probably tell by the way the two groups were interacting at the QT that we all get along real well...These are the guys who are most like most of us were when we were a bit younger...They generally don't have as much time to get away and ride because of family responsibilities etc but several of them have progressed/morphed into a more sport touring demo with still a lot of emphasis on the sport...Obviously they are a primo group to market to Buells...They are also, primo potential HSTA members...Good guys all around...Today we all ended up at Bixby, where else?... I've been helping him with computer issues for ... 10? years. He built my dad's chopper and fixed my 1125R today when it died (improper fuse, see the 1125R section) in his driveway. He mentioned today that "the Dalton's" were getting an 1125R. |
