HAS ANYONE ELSE READ THIS CRAP!!!!!!!!! The official press release follows: Harley-Davidson announced today the Company has chosen to end its factory VR1000 Superbike racing program and retire from the American Motorcycle Association (AMA) Superbike series after the final round of the 2001 season at Virginia International Raceway on September 28-30... "Our development team took a hard look at rebuilding the program this year, and what it would take to bring the VR 1000 to a competitive level and replace it with a new design. Harley-Davidson has determined the resources required to do that are simply too costly to pursue given our other business priorities," said Baker. Well, Maybe they will finally do the right thing and Create a Buell motorcycle to race in its place!!!!! Quite honestly, I think Eric Buell should demand it!!! Picotte is still under contract for another 2 years with HD. Can you imagine the possibilities with Pascal on an Eric Buell creation??????? Just found this on motorcycle online. please sign this and let HD know how all the Buelligans really feel!!! http://www.petitiononline.com/hdb/petition.html All people who want to see an American AMA Superbike win, sign this! thanks |

EVV Buellers et al (Brent ... I know ya sold your M2) MidwestRider.Com editor Brian B has put together a ride route in IL on Sun. Heading south-east of Carbondale over towards IL's "Garden of the Gods". I think it's the Shawnee Natl forest down there. Right now it's a pretty small assortment of bikes moving at a conservatively pace. (Unknown how fast is conservative) DAve |

Hey all, here in little ol' Evansville wer'e trying to put on a little ride to benefit the EMS people that suffered in New York. The kick off meeting was real interesting, IN State Police, EVV Police, Sheriffs Deputies, EVV Fire Dept, various Township FD, HOG chapter, BRAG Chapter, CMA, Blue Knights, GWRA, 3 or 4 Dealerships, and 3 members of the "Grim Reaper" "club". The bottom line is to raise $'s for the "Widows & Children's Fund of NYC". Everyone was all in unison about their support for this cause and their passion for motorcycles. For the $20 you get 5 cards, soft drinks, great two lane roads, and a free, yes free, dinner by one of the better resturants in town. We are hoping for 700-1500 bikes to turn out, and maybe more. 100% of the money goes to the fund! That's right if the support goodies and stuff ain't donated, then it is not used. ALL labor is donated. So show your support, if your in the area, and ride with the best to show your support of "America's Heroes". TIA Neil S. |

Assistance anyone??? I am being forced to spend 4 days in Metropolis IL for a wedding in early may. Definately taking the bike down. Decided while the women run around and do all that last minute "stress related bs" I would take a trip into Shawnee national forest on the bike. And since you guys are close I was wondering if you had any suggestions on rodes or sites to see??? your assistance in this matter would be "GREATLY" appreciated as I have a day and a half to kill. |

The KCMOB and SLAB are invading Arkansas this coming weekend (Sept 19, 20, and 21st). Anyone interested in joining us is more than welcome. I know it is short notice, but the more the merrier! We are going to set up base at the Iron Horse Stables near Eureka Springs, Arkansas. The KCMOB is camping there for the weekend. Here is the info: Iron Horse Stables 4033 Hwy 62W Berryville, AR 72616 1-479-253-0440 www.ironhorsestables.com The Members of SLAB will be getting rooms at: Wagner Inn Hwy 62, East 3064 E. Van Buren Eureka Springs, AR 72632 1.800.235.7639? The plan is: Arrive in the Eureka Springs area sometime around 5 or 6. (Heather and I should be arriving mid afternoon, if anyone is interested in arriving earlier) Ride a bit and find a nice place to eat. Saturday we are planning on riding all day. This should included Push mountain Rd and several others that our tour guides Shazam, Frank, and Racerboy have put together. Sunday Ride, get lunch, and head home. I know its short notice, but if anyone is interested in joining us please email myself or Shazam. We?ll get you our home and cell numbers to help with any accomodations that we can. Keith
