Hello all - I just relocated to Waterloo from London (the big one across the pond, not the little one near Detroit ). I'm American, been riding for the past 15 years and currently own a Ducati 999s that I'll be bringing up from Florida in the spring. I rode a BMW R1200GS while I lived in Europe and assumed I would replace it with the same when I got set up here.......however, the Ulysses has really peaked my interest, and I'm about at the 80% confidence level now that I will be buying an '08 in the near future. So I will be snooping around here and the Uly forum in the mean time. First question: Who is the best Buell dealer in the in the area (Toronto included)? Any that would be likely to have a Uly in stock? I stopped by The Harley dealer in London (local one) and they were friendly enough, but seemed to be a Buell dealer in name only. |

imho the best that I have dealt with is Barrie, for parts. They had a few Buells in stock last time I was there, no idea on ulysses. Toronto and Mackie(Oshawa) both no longer deal with Buell- Mackie has gone to Vespa, that tells you something. I believe Jacox(Mississauga) is still a Buell dealer, but last time I was there they had 0 in stock. Buell is dieing in this province. That's the extent of my knowledge. Check out the advrider website for info on uly: http://www.advrider.com/ and the Ontario riders page for local info: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?s=9c fdae7c7d89ee686e72a1ca9a8a5703&t=106586 Introduce yourself- some former buell riders there- lornce, kahunna Cheers |

Hey Foggy Can confirm that Jacox has 2 orange 08's and 1 black used 07 with cases on their show floor. Speak to Al at sales 905-858-0966. Rui |

Newbuellertoo, I bet! according the salesman, only 50 Uly's came into Canada last year and they are bumping it up a bit this year due to the XT version. After spending a year in the UK on BMW R1200GS after all the "Long Way Around" mania...it will be nice to be on something a bit more obscure. Of course my other bike is a Ducati 999s - not too many of those around these parts either. |

Tiberius, If you want to make sure that the Uly gets all of the attention it deserves, please feel free to hide your Duc in my garage for as long as you like. |

I'll keep that in mind The sad thing is she's crippled just now. Seems like both front forks are leaking and I'm going to have to get them rebuilt by an Ohlins specialist. I'm waiting on delivery of a Pit Bull Ducati fork stand converter so I can pull them and send 'em off. |

It depends. Are you importing it? Or do you just wan to register it while your here on a work permit. I've imported several bikes, but I'm a "perm" resident so had to import them. The RIV site has all the info http://www.riv.ca/Home.aspx also check out this thread on advrider http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27 2413 |
