Sam, looking at the current pics (make sure to check out both camera views) Looks like they lost a lot of snow. I am going to keep Sundays open to go out & get thrashed. Looks like it might be a little longer than this weekend? |

So......i basically found out that my girlfriend got me some new tires for the Buell....as far as i know they are some pilot powers......Bill, did you get much of a chance to do any aggressive street riding on your Uly with them? How do you like them so far... I know you got a few laps on the track with them but i was more curios how you like them on the street. A good chunk of the other riders that I ride with run them and seem to like them but I wanted to hear the opinion of a fellow Buell rider. So Mike, as long Santa doesnt cancel Christmas on me it looks like i will have some new rubber for the spring so let me know what its going to take to get some help mounting them and what you would like for your labor fees......... Sam.....I still havent forgot about the money I owe you for the hotel at the track day....give me a ring on my cell if you want to meet up somewhere sometime so i can get it to you, hell by now i probably owe you interest on it too. My schedule is still pretty wide open so let me know.... My New cell (verizon) number is: 484-3661 |

Hey Jeremy, I have only run 2 tanks on these tires. No complaints, after Miller most paved roads feel like dirt roads. The tires do seem to fall into turns easier than the old ones. I think you will like em! |

Jeremy, those are good tires, you shouldn't have any complaints. As far as getting them on the bike, just let me know when you need to get them mounted, shouldn't take too long. As long as you come and help with the swap, my labor rates are great, Free. |

Definately a different machine. A lot lighter feeling than the Ss. Also seems to fit me a little better. Haven't wound it up above 5k yet (break in miles still needed), but obvious feeling of more power than the Ss. Also, not sure why, but I don't put as much pressure or the same pressure on my hands as I did on the Ss. Going to have to put some miles on it to get used to everything, but overall very happy |

After putting all the stock parts back on the Ss, wound up with a few extra things if anyone is interested. Heres the list: -Modified by me, xb12 muffler, gutted and duel exits added. Muffler makes bike sounds kind like a muscle car with dual flowmasters Kinda loud, but only when you are on it. Needs painted, only want $50 or best offer. -VDSTS software and cable for PC with keyspan adapter. Purchased from Al at American Sportbike. Asking $130 (over 200 for both new) -Buell XB12 Race ECM $150. Let me know if you are interested. |

That looks pretty fun! I have a NPW5 I picked up a few years ago that I was going to use for land kiting, but never got a land board or a harness for it (people at work that got me into it moved right after I got it and I never picked it up again). I think Bill had mentioned a while back that some people do kite surfing at lucky peak. Went and watched for a few one day, never did talk to anyone though. You guys just strap on a snowboard and go? Does it take a special kite? Got me thinking now..... |

We're using between 8.5 and 16 meter foil kites, but inflatables work just fine. Get a harness and strap on the ole snowboard, pretty much it. |

it's just a cheaper frank thomas suit from cycle gear but it will still do the deed. it was on clearance for 400 bucks and it fits my lower half a hell of a lot better so i wont be sloshing around in the legs........up next.....another new helmet...and some better gloves...lol (Message edited by lazyj on January 03, 2008) |

Jeremy, My wife picked me up a Shoei RF-1000 and the Buell gauntlet gloves not too long ago, I love both! Was a bit mad at the time because of the cost, but after that first ride, I don't know how I put up with the old stuff |

I can identify with that, up until the XB, I got a new car every spring, almost like a disease, just had to do it to feel right |

Some kids are just spoiled, first new vehicle I have owned has been my XB, everything else was used or inherited, my houses on the otherhand have been fresh builds, this one was a custom, just the way I want it. I have had other priorities. Kids took first then me. |
