Well. I managed to keep breakfast down after looking at it. Edges are too sharp. It looks wafer thin, not very strong. Homologated HP is somewhere around 113 Kw, and have you any idea how much it costs? ( I am guessing somewhere in the neighborhood of 16000 without factoring in a warranty and GAP ) So what you do get is a package that's pretty revvy, some HP; even though dry weight is 414 lbs or so, and a package that looks pretty good ( if you like the fact that it's like every crotch rocket I have ever seen except for the tail ) and maintenance costs that are probably through the roof, not to mention that finding parts for them might be next to impossible. 1125r is probably going to go right for 12000, plus 500 freight and set up, dealer tax at about 6% (754.00), and possibly a 5200 dollar trade in value for you. Financing 8129 with zero down and you are looking at a payment of about 200 dollars. Guessing of course from past experience. Of course, the machine doesn't come first, the rider does. http://www.buell.com/en_us/bikes/sportbike/1125r/i ndex.asp

it looks like they grabbed all the GI Joe, battlestar galactica, star wars figurines they could find! I prefer vampires and werewolves to zombies. I'd never trade my XB--its too much fun! I just need more funds and room for the 1125R. have to ride it first though to see if I'll be comfy-leaned over ridin styles are not very pleasing to me in general, not to mention the FatBob seems to be calling my name. I was really looking forward to Buell's entry into off road two wheels {supermoto's are very appealing to me} but alas the program has been canceled |

Fatbobs are cool. I like them a lot. My advice. Never buy a first year bike. Too many issues, you pay more for them, and they come in cheap on trade. In the process of trying to get a job. Also looking at another refi again. They may have to do surgery on me for a gall bladder, and of all things, my wrist is sprained. I have it immobilized right now, but can't ride if I want to. Anyways, I'll be around, as annoying as ever. |

Might try to. I have my wrist in a stint right now. Been icing it down. Might be okay tomorrow. I was at the surgeon today. They want to take my gall bladder out, but first, they need to do an endoscopy. Might have a hiatal hernia too that they may or may not decide to fix. In the meantime, I am going to be out of work. I don't know for how long. That means, my financial situation may need some rearranging. If it's going to be longer than 2 or 3 months, I may have to sell the bikes. I have bills starting to pile up, and was hoping to be back to work by now. AS it was, I had to cut in to my reserve funds. I can survive even if I do have to part company with the bikes. I ma pretty certain that if it comes to that, that I will be back before very long. As in 6 months or so. I have to wait until next week to see. May put the surgery on hold, if I can, and get something to make some fast cash. Don't want to sell the 03, that is for sure. |

Torq Sorry, been getting things ready for another drill next week. Way Crazy busy. If there wasn't enough going on, started the new addition, and have a parade in Islamorada this weekend. Christmas Parties the next two weekends, so at least I should be "fluid" Still don't have my wire from mouser, for ECMSPY, so I'm a bit lean in the midrange and worried about that, so I haven't seen the road in about two weeks. UPS finally replaced the shipment, so now it's the check is in the mail game. MAybe I'll get that this week and then you guys will have to put up with me again. How was it last nite? I'm living vicariously through your reports. |

hey guys, been sick the last couple days. i gotta ride this weekend though, i know mike's in, anybody else wanna roll! also you can add rizoma track 1's to the list of mods. i ordered them tonight. i also got a kill swich for the strip... and the tail is commin' off soon. a message to VALMACMIAMI= you and anyone else interested in an 1125r has to get on a list unfortunately. it sounds like i wont even get a whiff of 1 for several months. jeff wanted a white/blue 12r at the shop(impulse), but i explained the benefit of waiting.....1125R. so he may be the excuse to get one quicker. and still no release of color combos? i will see what i can do and i promise to update everyone asap. accesories should come within 2 months max. |

it's all cool Clif--it is a very busy time of year--we'll see ya when we see ya! keep us updated on the ECMSpy, now that I've secured an employ mod's to XB are planned. Scarewolf--hopin' you're feelin better--Mikey mentioned the ride tonight-I'm not sure where I'll be but shoot me a ring when you guys gather up--anything is possible! color selection for 1125R are limited to the black and blue for '08 with no other color selections revealed for future model years as of yet--Buell is usually very tight lipped about future products, updates, and options all the way until the dealer show around July. I too will keep all updated on 1125R news as I find it--Scarewolf (Chad) has the dealer updates for us and is very up to date with all things Buell and I'm just the internet wh*re who scans all Buell news and publications. |

endoscopy manana, if the guy who has to go with me can make it. Maybe he just needs to come sign me out. Not certain. Wrist is getting a little better. Getting used to the low fat diet the docs have me on. Lost a little weight. typing without pain today. Can't wait to get the brace off so I can ride again. I also need to find a job this month. Anything, even part time or temp is fine. Hopefully no surgery. If so, then not until after the first. Gotta get some bread in reserve. |

I hear ya there Stretch. I am departing from Peterson's in January, from the way things are going(there is no mercy in that place); so I will get my bonus for the year and hope that carries me until my detail business takes off full-time. On that same subject: ANYONE WHO REFERS A CUSTOMER FOR A DETAIL FROM JD CUSTOM WILL RECEIVE COMPENSATION FOR THEIR EFFORTS'. Just have the customer give us your name and once the job is done it's cash in your hands. My cell(Chadd) is #305-510-1466 home 305-493-2307 or Jeff's cell 786-566-1024. Call any of the numbers and we will give you guys more information. |

Chad, shame to hear you're leaving, but definitely understood! besides you'll probably enjoy Buell more when you won't have to put up with the dealer crap anymore!!!! Stretch, understand the unemployed pain quite well--my first 2 months were like this is cool my next 2 were like I have no money to spend and the last 2 before I started my newest job I was pullin my hair out!! glad to hear the wrist is getting better and losing weight at our sizes can only help. hope the surgery goes well and you have a quick recovery. |

Encounter doesn't sound like me. But there are plenty of Buells around here. I normally am on my 2000 Orange Lightning. Still, hope to see you around. According to the web, all XBs can be set using ECMSPY, can't speak for 1125 yet, but I highly doubt anyone under warranty would want to tweak much on a computer. My cable got lost by UPS. Mouser can't replace till mid-January. I'm getting detonation mid-range, so I'm not riding right now at all. Really getting to be a bummer. Probably putting the 9R back together this weekend (apart for the Force pipe). Clif |
