Took my V-Rod in for another Dyno plot again after playing with the VE, AFR and Spark tables. Some comparison: Stock RWHP - approx 96 (115 at the crank) With Baffles in and HD tune I got 106 RWHP With baffles removed open airbox and my own modified tune based off of a custom V-mod map I got 116 RWHP and 79 ft/lbs of TQ I can really feel the difference now, only bad part is that I can now see the fuel gauge needle sink as I go WOT. Hopefully ECM Spy will be able to do similar for our Buells. |

Graham, hows your new tank working out? Was it larger or just different shape? |

Aron, the tank is great!! Same style tank as the S3, this one is just in much better shape (plus i think it has a slightly larger capacity due to the different shape of the bottom, i could be wrong, we shall see when i fill it up the first time), the old one had clearly been in an accident, stress fractures in the paint and bent fuel flange, this one is near mint |

Sometimes I wish I could just swap my tank for larger capacity. Is it already silver? |

hey guys, just saying hi from Klamath Falls, be back in town Wed. night. Went to Crater Lake today and Lava Bed National Monument yesterday, cool stuff. The oldest daughter wasn't real excited, but the youngest had a great time. It's already got some good snow here. I got a couple of good pics too. Jeremy |

Phil, you can swap out for more fuel capacity, but it's expensive. Buell part number is XB12Ss. |

Hey All, We seem to have very little to talk about these days, so here is a suggestion: Lets start talking about the Formal "Clubship" I'd very much like to keep the board, and the saturday rides homegrown, any and all are welcome. Sounds like Latus has different ideas, and that's OK. We are in a position to define what is important to us. Here are my thoughts. 1) Write a team charter to capture the officer positions and duties, rules and guidelines, membership requirements and voting privlages. 2) Nominate and select officers. 3) Hold a formal first meeting to ratify charter and officers. 4) Establish membership roles. I'd say anyone who has posted on this board before Jan 1st. can qualify as an innagural member. Perhaps we can get Latus to pony up some sort of unique memento for this. 5) create a thread in PBR for "Formal Club Notes" Thoughts? |

Phil, other part #'s are XB12STT, XB12X and the 1125R. So don't be fooled thinking there is only one option. Paul is just biased towards the SS part number.

Paul it's probably not a bad idea, like you mentioned our Saturday rides would be open to everyone and a time to just go out and have fun. The organized rides through Latus would be Buell oriented and not every weekend. It would be more or less a 1/2 dozen planned rides including track days per year. I am all for having a formal meeting some afternoon where we can get a bunch of together. |

This is not really a buell event but probably fun anyway and open to all bikes for those that want's to get some nice riding in and see oregon. http://www.hellscanyonrally.com/ I will be riding my V-rod down along with my wife on her sportster. She might just be hanging around town once we get there but I plan on doing some of the nice routes around hells canyon. These are not guided routes so you get to set you'r own pace and should bring a map or GPS. I will be heading down Friday morning of june 13th and returning Monday june 16th. I already reserved my hotel room because my wife will not camp out. If any one is interested in riding down let me know and we can hook up. It should be a nice 6-7 hour ride going the back roads to avoid as much of I84 as possible to baker city. There is another group I ride with every once in while called the Portland Road Runners. They are trying to get group together to ride down as well. Should be a fun event and one that you could bring your girlfriends or spouses on if they can handle the long haul there. Mark, this seems to be one thats right up your ally.. |

Hey guys, a thread on the Ducati forum I read has me thinking a little about protecting our 2 wheeled loves. With me being currently out of work, I have some free time to help anyone that might want to install an alarm in their bike. I've been a pro installer for a little over 13 years, and have all the tools I would need to do the job. Let me know if anyone is interested. I can also get discounts on good motorcycle alarms. Let me know... 360-608-1450 or j.r.williams@comcast.net Jeremy www.jeremyrwilliams.com |

Paul, I think that you are onto something. It seems to me that in order to make sure we aren't swallowed by Latus we need quite a bit more structure than we have right now. That is more work, but I would like give a hand however I can. |

On another note, is anybody else ready for a wrench party? I am 5000 and need to do my service and avail myself on someone (Aron?) for a TPS reset. I have a roomy garage and a fair bit of tools (and libations), or would be more than happy to ride up somewhere in the metro area. Thoughts? |

Brady, I can help with a TPS reset I think. I have to check to see if it will work on my old beater laptop I have now. I was using my work laptop which got upgraded and no longer has the com port needed. |

I have re-resubmitted art work to Latus in a adobe illustrator format. The art department wanted the graphic and text to be on separate layers. So we will see how this turn out. |

I'm thinking pretty good right now. I spoke with Todd in Motor Clothes earlier this week and the first article T's are in the works. I'll try to keep you guys up to speed on when we actually get something to wear. I had mentioned to Aron a run of shirts with PBR "suds" logo, what do you think? I'm going up to Seattle on Sunday, my main mission is the new 1125R. I don't think (we as dealers) will see the new Buells until after Xmas and maybe after the New Year. I hear that they are doing some post production mods to the bikes to ensure maximum performance and reliability before initial release. Ask me sometime about this, I'm an expert! When we get another opportunity to ride, and if we go out towards the Estacada area, I would like to invite everyone to my place (10 minutes from Latus Motors in Carver) for a quick stop to see my home shop. I'm diving head first into drag racing, and I'm sure you'll love to see some of what I'll be riding for next year. The weather has me bummed some, I have to re gear my head for cold wet riding mode, seems to get harder every year. Anyway, hope everyone is well, Kenny P.S. All the Team Latus Drag bikes are on display at the dealership, if you've never seen a Top Fuel bike this is a great opportunity, 800 HP - 6.4 avg qtr mile et - 220 mph, trust me that's really really fast!! |

Yes when the weather gets a little nicer I am up for a ride. This cold wet stuff is bumming me out as well. I hit some black ice Friday morning on my commute to work. Talk about fun and promptly had me returning to the freeway instead of my favorite back roads to work. I hate having to go back to driving a car again. those big 4 wheel boxes put me to sleep after working all day. Kenny, I had to send Todd some updated art work earlier this week. Hopefully it is all working out. Sorry for my ignorance what are "suds"? |

I assume Suds are the PBR logo that resembles a beer can? I love that Logo, so I'm all for it. Kenny, A long time ago in a life far far away I pit crewed a funny car. Didn't run on fuel, and the team never got it's act together, but I have a fond place for the 1/4 mile. I'd love to come out to test and tune days etc and try and be helpful... |

All motorcycling riding is fun to me. The intensity of drag racing just fits with me, both physically and psychologically. I like to call it Self Awareness 7 seconds at a time, (That's the 2008 goal). Couple of things to bring everyone up to speed. I was up at the Seattle Show and got very touchy feely with the new 1125R. Can't wait to ride one! Whatever anyone, or any magazine has to say about the bike, Eric Buell and company needs all the kudo's in the world thrown at them. They did it! It will only get better and better from here. My personal hat is off to them and their investors for sticking with them. I can tell you from personal experience that its a total team effort to do what they did, congratulations to Team Buell! I met with Tom Young from Pacific Super Sport Riders. (You can google PSSR) Here's the dates for their track days at PIR. (AHDRA has posted their 2008 drag racing schedule and their are no conflicting dates). April 22 Tues June 3 Tues July 1 Tues Aug 28 Thur Sept 9 Oct 9 All these dates are presently available. The sooner we decide on dates, I need to register and get confirmation from PSSR. This will guaranty our place at the events. The cost per event per person is $210.00. Additionally, I do not know yet what events are combined with actual Road Racing event weekends, but I would like to coordinate at least one event (track day)where we will have Tripp Nobles in town to race for Team Latus. This way we get the best of both worlds available to us. Please lets discuss this openly as to how many want to participate, and how many events we would want to do as a group. I'm figuring 2, one in Spring and one in Fall. I will bring the Team Latus Race Trailer out and some of the amenities that we use at the Track, it'll be a hoot for sure. I will try to get a hold of Janice Logan today, and get the final details for these events. I'll post them asap, so we can get our money together and get registered. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to call me on my cell phone, 503-702-4183. Regards, Kenny |

Kenny, I talked with Tom about the artwork and he needs the artwork in Vector format in order to easily change between white and black backgrounds. I will go ahead and trace over the artwork in CAD and save it back as .ai file. It might take me a day or so to get it back. Paul, if you guys want the "suds" logo someone will need to start working on creating the artwork. What we have is too small and wrong format. They will need the vector outlines for the artwork. |

So what do you guys think about this text. Since i was going to have to trace every letter I am hoping we could use another font that was already available in my CAD software.
Let me know ASAP so I can submit these right away. UPDATE: FONT ISSUE RESOLVED AS OF 12-04-07 (Message edited by xbswede on December 04, 2007) |

Here's the latest on the "T" shirts. Our vendor has all the required artwork (thanks to all who made that happen) and has given us a quote for the job. At this point it looks like were going to make a run of black and a run of white 'T' shirts. I haven't got the final ok, but the plan will be to issue all charter members initial shirts free of charge, additional shirts will be priced accordingly. That means we have to calculate our cost plus some, still very reasonable. Time frame for first deliveries is approx 2 weeks after we give them the ok. Once one get to terms on the track day events, we'll be stylin! Kenny |

Kenny, I'm go on the artwork Thanks Aron! I'll see what I can do with the Suds for a future run. Track Days: April 22 Tues, +1 June 3 Tues, +1 July 1 Tues, -1 Aug 28 Thur, +1 Sept 9, -1 Oct 9, -1 July is too close to the holiday and Homecoming. Not that I'll be able to go Sep 10th is the Wifes B-Day. Nuff Said, and Oct 9th will be wet. (OK that's a guess but I'll wager $5 on it. which is cheaper than wagering $210 on it) I'm in for two track days. Should we start a track day vote thread? I need leathers! If someone has advice for my Bride (Who may be looking for a gift set for me) send her an email at sabrinateays@gmail.com I'm budget tight right now (Damm x wife and legal fees) so an old set is OK as long as it passes tech... |
