Matt, That was your father that we rode with back on that fateful gravelly day was it not? My sympathies and prayers to you and your family, brother. |

Thanks guys. Yeah that was my dad that day. Just wanted to try and get some other riders out there. Riding was what he loved to do. |

my bike is in pieces. I wish I could have gone. We had a guy in my unit killed on HWY 5 riding a Busa. Death sucks, even though it is an eventuality, but in the mean time...rubberdown bros. P.S. I occasionally, upon hearing of a death, tell my wife(she thinks this is morbid and stupid) I want a keg party/bike ride thrown in remembrance of me when I die. |

Hey Karma, Yeah, and we could use a guide through your lovely part of the state. I'm sure Tank would relish the chance to just ride without worrying about were to turn next!!! So... how bout a tour? |

Melvin Some of you guys where in my area the last week. I live at the 33 end of route 14 in King & Queen. The S1 is up for the winter, fork rebuild, gaskets for the top end and I used up the tire on Hellbender last month. Plan a corner speed school this spring at VIR need her to be right. I should have the S3 ready as soon as I receive the zener diodes for the speedo sensor. I need to get some miles on the Zipper 88 that I installed this last fall. I'll drop you guys a line when I have worked the bugs out, would be nice to ride with some Buells. The trail is the best of the roads in the area but I can come up with another 75-100 miles of roads in Gloucester and middlesex to fill out a days ride with out spending more than 55% of the time on the center of the tyre. Just map quested some of the local roads and came up with a loop of 145 miles, 3hrs and 54 minutes. Not including stops. Let me know how that fits into your riding styles. Sounds right up our alley (pardon the pun) Right Guys? I think we typically pull 180 to 200 miles easy when we ride out and 4 hours gets us ready for the ubiquitous Mexican lunch before breaking for home. As for last weekend, I don't know if any of us were up there. (At least no one posted up a ride in that direction last week) But we are looking at heading out this weekend and are scouting routes. What ever is decided, I think we'll post it over in our newly added "Weekend Rides" section. SO, send what you've mentioned. PLEASE!!! |

Hey Kev, If we're not going out riding on Sat as a group, I'll ride up to "Euseless". I too want to pull the headers for coating. Have you found a source? and do they offer quantity discounts? Maybe we'll get them done at the same time. (Power Black of course) |

this weekend is no good bro. Mom and Dad are coming into town so I'll be pretty busy. Let's shoot for next weekend. I was looking at American sportbike right now but I'm still looking around for a local shop. There has to be something in Norfolk or Richmond. |

Sounds right up our alley (pardon the pun) Right Guys? Yup! Brett, I did the Cornerspeed school. A bit pricey, but well worth the money. Truly a top-notch organization all the way. |

Melvin Reno Custom Cycle in Gloucester does all my big motor work. He sends his coating work to a local shop. That is one of the up grades I have planned for the girls, but have spent too much on them this year so it will have to wait. Shawn runs Pro Stock in AHDRA does good work. He used to ride an X1. Phone number 804 642 0554. Joe |

Wow thanks for the tip Joe! I think that's less then 30 miles from my house. BTW The route looks good, looks like it will be too cold this weekend though. (pity) (Message edited by xb12mel on November 29, 2007) |

I took the lightning out for short putt on saturday and according to Duc at SSHD there should be 1125R in the showroom the middle of this month. He'll call me when it shows up. Mike |

I'm on that list as well. The wife just got me an early x-mas present of some REALLY nice winter riding gloves. I tried them Sunday and my hands were HOT! |

Sounds like the making of a Buell Gathering. Certainly we should all show up for the Hampton Roads Debut of the 1125R. When you get the call post it up and lets try to get there about the same time. Weather permitting on our own Buells. (Just a suggestion)

lets try to get there about the same time. That sounds awesome! And I'm sure Duc and the rest of the SS group would get a kick out of it too! hmmm... could we make this an "unveiling" for the HR??? |

man I'm screwed on fundage till mid-late Jan. On the flip side I'll be very close to debt free. WOOHOO! I can always drive the Burban down. She represents with the fat Buell sticker in the back glass. |

lol... "Fat Buell Sticker" +1 on Debt Free!!! (Can't put a price on that) ...pardon the pun Yeah, I think that would be cool, like an entourage for the 1125r each time one of us test rides it! That way we can gauge how it does in comparison to our bike. Plus it would look way cool (IMO) to see 5 or 6 bikes cruzin with the new one. SSDH would have a fit, brand new bike 200 miles of demo miles the first day!!! |
