As of my current financial state, I more than likely wont have a bike, wont have the money for the track day, and wont have gas money to get there. Besides that I already got into a fight with my wife about making the Jennings new years bash an annual tradition and she is not about to let me go 3 years in a row. I got some friends (they're supermoto trash) that do trackdays at Jennings all the time. I'll see if we can get a plan started down here, but New Years might not be the best time for me either. Say... what lap times do you guys post at Jennings? |

I might just do Tally if everyone is busy. The drive to Tally is 1hr 45 minutes, JGP is about 5hrs. Theirs always a trade off, the weather at Tally will be much colder. (Message edited by shred on November 29, 2007) |

Well, I can at least fix that for you. I won't be in town for the track day, so you can borrow my gixxer. With friends like this who needs family! But really, the wife is a big NO and I could never take a friends bike to the track before he does! Just got my check too....16.4 hours for almost 50 hours of standing around..... Anyone know of a Taco Bell hiring?? |

May I remind everyone that I didn't FALL off, I was thrown off, and the odds of me getting caught in between the rear wheel and the sub-frame if I'M driving are next to nothing....what is everyone worried about??? Brian, you'd better not be calling in any favors to get charlie a job there.... |

> what is everyone worried about??? 92% of motorcycle accidents involve riders who were taught by friends or family. Seriously, MSF is the only way to learn. You'll develop all the right habits from the start. Besides, if you take the MSF course, you can drop the bikes they give you all day without having to pay for them, and you'll take your license exam as part of the class. You get a certificate to take to the DMV, and they give you your endorsement without having to take anymore tests. |

I'll be sending the wife to the MSF course, she said she's ready for her own bike. First daddy has to get him something more reliable than his tuber. I'm thinking maybe a Ural... |

my dad taught me how to ride.... That's harsh. He's your Dad, man. I taught myself how to ride, then when I went to the street, I took the old AMA sponsored course back in 1980, found it was a good way to meet chicks and became an instructor! |

my dad taught me how to ride.... what about you guys? I went to rider's edge! Granted it was almost a year and half after I got my first motorcycle. But nonetheless, it was invaluable! I would highly recommend it to anyone who is new to riding. Smokescreen |

I would highly recommend it to anyone who is new to riding. I'd recommend it to anyone who hasn't taken it. And it doesn't hurt to take the MSF intermediate or advanced rider courses every now and then, either. Smokescreen, does the Rider's Edge have an option for not so new riders? Our's does not. Why? You'd have to call Karen and ask. I'm sure if they had enough people interested they would accommodate us. Smokescreen |
