Murrae, we are leaving Wed and need to be back home Saturday night but I have no idea were we will end up. Are you working Wed? We may swing by the shop on our way south. Frank |

Well, I'm screwed. I totally forgot that like six months ago, I arranged to have this guy come out to do our annual audit. It's unavoidable and I have to be here for it, so it's happening on Monday. I'll have to pass on the ride and lunch. Have fun without me. |

Ok, Lynn and I will stop by the shop and say hi. We may stay at the same hotel you are staying at. I checked the weather forecast and think that is the place I want to be. Talk to you later.... Frank |

Murrae, Thanks for helping out with the bike sale. The wife is very pleased with the new machine. She's going to go ahead and get the seat shaved down. You mentioned an upholstery guy who does this sort of work...do I go through you (dealer) or do I go direct?? |

Nick- My pleasure. Either way on the seat. Probably will save you $$$ if you go direct. If that's a hassle, get the seat to me and I'll take care of it for you. The place is B&M Trim Shop at 1213 Calle De Comrecio which is off Rufina, off Siler Road here in Santa Fe. Number is 505-4734290. Ask for Art and tell him you were referred by the guy at the Harley shop. |

Anybody know anything about a BMW bike fatality on Rt 14 this last weekend? Heard the rumors but can't find the story in the paper anywhere. |

I haven't heard about any fatality, but this was on the new the other night... http://youtube.com/watch?v=KgH6_1K_FuM I'm think that Crest runs on the weekends are out until next year. Unfortunately, I know who all of those fools caught on tape are. The two idiots caught passing into the blind corner are quite proud of their dumb selves. And, I don't think they are going to be staying away from there, so expect the cops to be out in force until the snow hits. |

I did ride over the weekend, but I went north due to the weather being so nice. I'm thinking about doing the Toys for Tots ride on Sunday. When: Sunday, November 18, 2007, 9:00 AM 20071118T160000Z Where: Seferinos 3301 Southern Blvd SE Rio Rancho Rio Rancho , NM 87124 (505) 892-3580 Description: I just today called and reverified with the restaurant, they said they will be waiting for us !!! I had a question from AC and I would like to be a bit more specific, We will meet at around 9 for Breakfast, and a bit of a meeting to talk about the days events. I imagine we will be kickstands up at about 10:15. its a 10 minute ride to the HS parking lot. So if you don't wish to indulge in breakfast, be there by about 10 so you can get an understanding of the happenings, also anyone that hadn't brought toys/food can get them at the Albertsons a few doors down from the restaurant. Be there early enough to do that. Every Year for the past several (14) there has been a Rio Rancho Toy Run. This years 15th annual run will be on the 18th of November, entry requires 1 toy (new wrapped)this means wrapped in manufacturers packaging not Christmas wrapped. and 2 non perishable food donations. Don't go crazy with the toy, 15.00 max unless you have money to spare. I would like to get together for a nice sit down breakfast, This will be at a little New Mexican restaurant called Sefarinos in RR off of Southern, near Sara. address is posted. After the Ride we are going to meet at a members house, Cat and her Husband Brian have offered their place for a gathering after. I will post a separate meetup for that. It looks like we will between all factions have at least 40 bikes in our group. This is going to be AWESOME !!! It should be a ride tame ride, and after that I'm likely ride the Jemez home. |

Kim, Don't you know the squid that was interviewed? He works at Cycle gear... Different speeds for different vehicles, yea, that will happen!!! Isn't the track good enough for those guys? |

Seferino's is good food. Not to far from my house so we visit there often. |

Yea, that was Chris. (he doesn't work at cycle gear anymore, but the dude with the detector was the one I bought my bike from and he still works there once or twice a month.) He was ticked that in twenty minutes of talking that small inchoherent segment was used.... He however, was not the squid passing on double yellow, that was another dude. Not to stick up for the squids, but IMHO... ...double-yellow for a motorcycle means "pass with extreme caution" There are plenty of safe spots a bike can get "out and in" on almost every twisty road w/double-yellow. Passing around a blind corner now...that's just plain stupid. And it's not real smart to spook the cagers too much. |

Double Yellow means means neither side can pass...Unless you are talking about the unofficial rules of the road for motorcyclists... A NM lawman can and will stop you when you pass in a double yellow area - tickets are at the lawman's discretion but these days if its been called in (an it usually has) THEY HAVE LESS DISCRETION... As much as I hate being stuck behind slow vehicles, the double yellow pass always carries some risk. Keep your eyes open... |

Kim, The website for the toy run shows kickstands up at 11AM... http://rioranchotoyrun.org/ You might have a bit of a wait getting there before 10AM, but then again, you'll have time to socialize. |

Yea, but the info I posted up came from this site... http://motorcycle.meetup.com/19/?gj=sj5 It is another group to ride with, and most of the people I've met from this one, ride more sane then a few of the other groups. Of course, I don't go with them often, not being a sane person. It really is more of a chance to socialize, so you going to be there???? |
