I am glad to hear everyone is going to be alright. I cringe anytime I read a post with the word "crash" in it. Cool pics! |

Dang, sorry to hear about JC and Adam. JC can probably still ride faster than me with only one arm, though. I hope they at least got pretty nurses. Not like the two male nurses who had to hold me up while I peed in a jug the day I broke my ankle. |

JC is fine. He said they had so many cute nurses over there but the one that helped him was huge and had some kind of skin rash. He said that he was scared that he might catch the rash. He still has not shut up. Betty is going to have to put up with him today. |

Lol, skin rash Joules, that's a great view. Did you mount those ammo tins to the factory luggage rack? The video from yesterday is pretty sweet. Unfortunately the run up RBR was whited out by the sun as I thought, but the run back down is pretty clean. I'm saving it to my harddrive now, and I'll try to get something posted up tonight. |

No, Ammo cans are mounted to a rack designed for the bike and such hardware. These are my weekender bags, 25mm, which are more illusive to acquire. Larger 50cal are also mounted for longer touring trips and are easier to acquire, more common. |

Hey all, Just wanted to say John and I had a good time yesterday and it was a nice surprise running inti you guys. Thanks for all the help with the tuber. Saddly I feel you may not be seeing it come springtime... And now for the bad news. While catching a ride back to the house (to pick up the truck and trailer that should have come stock with the M2) riding bitch on the back of John's XB we had an intimate meeting with nature. We hit a deer... It was getting dark and we were headed to Woodstock for said truck/trailer when we came over a rise and there was 4 deer on the road playing grab ass. John braked hard but a 90lb doe was feeling suidcidal and she got blasted at about 45mph. John went into a low side skid and the last thing I remember after seeing the deer and the impact was tumbling and covering up my head. I hit the pavement and tumbled into the grass about 20 feet. Got the wind knocked outta me (as my ribs were breaking) and we both lay there moaning in unison then started laughing as it was syncronised... I was the first to get up and limped over to John and pulled the bike off him (he still had his leg trapped underneath. I then paid bambi a visit and dumped 2 Hydra Shocks into her pea brain. EMT was very quick but we weren't feeling it yet and opted to get cheched out closer to home in Marrietta. John tore some ligaments in his shoulder and broke some ribs. I broke my left wrist, elbow and several ribs (thats what ya get riding bitch on a high pillion). Not a bad landing really all things considered but all tattoo appointments will be canceled indefinately to say the least... Typing this one handed while swimming nicely in narcotics. Headed out to pick up the M2 and XB in about 10 mins. soon as a friend with 2 arms gets here to help load up... Yet another black cloud adventure! Speak with ya soon on the updates. |

Damn, Frank! You aren't left handed are you? Two hydra shocks in the deer probably leaves you at least five more for the M2. Let me know if you need help with anything. I know two male nurses at Union County General that will help you zip up your pants. |

JC was riding in the Cohutta area on a pig trail and hit leaves and loose rock and went down. He was riding the XR650 and not the Uly. That would have been a crash. He is at my house taking it easy. If anyone wants to call him the number is 7068384694. He is sleeping right now. Those deer are moving the shop is full of deer hits. Glad it did not turn out worse. |

Look at it this way guys, at least it's the end of riding season...If there is a season down here that is. Everybody heal well. Y'all can come over and watch me take the CB750 apart for the next few months if you want. |

Great pics! Looks like you guys had a great weekend. Had a friend just hit a deer on his Harley the other day. I see at least 2 or more deer a night riding home from work. Frank- get well soon. Sounds like it was a bad weekend for crashes though! |

Man, this camera is pissing me off. Way too much of the tape got whited out, including pretty much all the footage of me. Here's part of our RBR run with the camera pointed right at the damn sun, and the picture is fine: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NF-kpxOa7R0 Check out the 1 minute mark. The camera doesn't white out even with nothing but sky in the view. Now look at this bit from a few minutes before when Charlie's following me and Michelle: http://www.incorrect.org/videos/Whiteout.wmv I emailed the manufacturer, and they say there's a way to turn the gain down on the camera, so we'll have to try that next time. |

I do not see it as the end of the riding season. To me it is the best time of the year. No flatlanders, no leaves to look through ,less law enforcement and a lot less traffic. Every weekend just keeps getting better. Just wish gas was not so high. |

How did I miss JC? Heal well and soon! I saw a deer last night, just down from the house. It was the biggest city-deer I've ever seen. He was at least 6 point, maybe 8. He was in no hurry either, just strolling down the road. More deer ought to have his mellowness. |

hi guys as soon as i get the pictures that they took of me in pain i will post them. the stupidest get off ever earlier i had my gonads in my throat as i tried to catch a very skilled rider on his ktm 450 while on my xr650 sliding around the corners my life flashed before my eyes a few times but no wreck. then we go off a very rocky and slow manuvering trail and at a walk pace i hit gravel and the front end went down so fast i didn't have time to let go of the handlebars as i hit the ground my shoulder took the whole impact even though i was wearing armor it did not protect from the impact on the other hand i didn't even get a scratch or a bruise anywhere else. my shoulder dislocated and tried as we did we could not reset it the pain was very intense at one point i thought i would pass out. i had to walk for over an hour because it was to rough for me riding double then as the road got a little better i rode out with jay on his klr. great slow manuevering on jay's part around all the obsticles and he tried to make as comfortable for me as possible. all the guys that i rode with were great they all stayed with me and picked up my bike and gear as i rode in the ambulance to the hospital. there they doped me up and gave me some drug that caused amnesia so that i would not remember what they were going to put me thru. one big male nurse wrapped a sheet around my chest for a handhold the doctor pulled on my arm i didn't care who won the tug of war i just wanted the pain to stop. as soon as the shoulder set we all heard it pop back into place and what a relief i started to laugh and feel graet instantly what a tremendous feeling of well being overcame me at that moment unless you've lived it it's hard to explain. that was my weekend adventure i am very sore and must have torn a muscle or ligament cause i can't use my shoulder to move my arm. in time it will heal i guess. thanks to all for asking about me i know i don't contribute often to this forum but when i do it's a story and a half. |
