One of the local Milwaukee TV news channels last night mentioned that Harley's 105th Reunion/Ralley tickets will go on sale next month and will have 105 different rides all ending in Milwaukee. In one of the several dozen recent threads about the 2007 Buell Homecoming or one of the many dozens of threads on the new 1125R bike someone mentioned that the Buell 2008 Homecoming plans will be announced sometime soon. So I'm just starting this thread/section to give us all an early place to start making plans, or to start collecting rumors and speculations. So, I'm wondering if Buell will keep a separate event apart from the H.O.G. Rally, or if they'll merge their event, or if they'll do something for both. It will be interesting to see what happens in the next month or twelve in any case. |

From a comment or three over here http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/37/ 291185.html?1185532079 I can only say that scheduling an event around a holiday is two-fold three-fold: first-fold: some folks will have other obligations, work coverage, family issues, other stuff that already books their holiday schedule. second-fold: some folks will have limited vacation time available so scheduling an event around a holiday allows these folks and people to get to the event when they otherwise wouldn't be able to. third-fold: some people can massage a holiday and an event to be able to work both into their plans and schedule. |

And Buell has done an admirable job of getting the date out there early to allow folks who require 6 months notice and our friends overseas to attend. I'd love to see a large contingent from Europe, Australia, South America, South Africa, Japan and Kansas. Court |

An international gathering is always great. I'd imagine that there's a story about getting the date released this early, and I'd imagine there was some negotiating going on just to announce it let alone to allocate the resources to begin planning it what with everything else going on right now. If I were only a fly on the wall.... I'd probably get swatted. |

I'm glad they let everyone know this early. It does give everyone time to make plans and arrange vacations. It should make for the largest homecoming gathering yet! |

I'd love to see a large contingent from Europe, Australia, South America, South Africa, Japan and Kansas. How about a small contingent from Massachusetts? |

I really want to make the trip to Homecoming in 08. Any Badweb'ers between Mobile, AL and East Troy want to meet up? I'll most likely be taking I65 through Birmingham, Bowling, Louisville, Indianapolis, Chicago, and all points in between. It's just over 1000 miles. I'm not sure if I should try to pull it all off in one day or break into two. (Message edited by Not_Purple_S2 on November 05, 2007) |

Interesting that the Sheraton doesn't know about it and has a big family reunion (no it isn't Buell) scheduled for that weekend.... I got a room anyway. Is that the same hotel we were at in 99? |

Ok, the Sheraton called back. They do have a "HarleyDavidson" group with 100 rooms at $80/night on those dates. |

Hmmm, I just called the Sheraton and was told the following; $80 for a single and 90 for two.... I questioned the practice and was told that's the way HD set it up. Other than 'flea bags' the practice of jacking up the price for additional persons went out about 30 years ago! G/f and I are going, $10 extra per day is balloon spit! BTW July 2 is sold out(for the group rate) and the regular rate is $191.00 Is everyone just staying at the Sheraton on the 2nd then moving somewhere else? We are booked for 4 nights. Bret |
