Great pictures, MR! I rode from 52 to 60 on Big Creek Rd/Doublehead Gap this afternoon, and I wish I'd brought my camera. I'd never ridden Doublehead before, so I was kind of surprised when the pavement ended. There was a really pretty lake with some great foliage out there on the gravel section. I swear my video camera is cursed. First, I blew up the external microphone right before Buelltoberfest because I had the polarity wrong on the wiring harness. I got a new mic, then got all the way up to Turner's corner before plugging everything in and realizing there was no power to the bullet cam (blown fuse). I put in a new fuse and tested everything out today before I left, and then I took off without the damn camcorder battery! Oh well, maybe next time. I had an all around bad electricity day. My Zumo died, so I'll have to have it replaced. Fortunately it's still under warranty. Then I noticed something weird: when I turn my bars all the way to the right, and my right blinker is on, the blinker indicator light goes out. The left one works fine. This is actually a good thing, though, because it's reproducible. I've been having a problem with my headlights going out at full lock every once in a while, but I could never make the bike do it twice in a row for troubleshooting. |

Here's a map of what I rode today: http://tinyurl.com/2r29bm The waypoint marked "Unknown road" is where the pavement ends for a couple of miles. Doublehead is kind of boring from 52 until that point unless you're just looking for some long, high speed sweepers. Once the pavement starts back up, the asphalt gets more fun. It's well paved, and there are some tight corners. If I ride it again, I'll go west from 60 instead of east from 52 and then just turn around after the gravel bit. |

-------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Great pictures, MR! You could have turned on Salem Rd right before you hit the dirt and went through Dial. But the dirt does not go far and it is a quick way back to 60. |

I had a great time. I was somewhat disappointed in this year's lack of naughty schoolgirls, but I was quite pleased with the addition of a naughty nurse. Dave/Ann, it was great to see the whole family out. It isn't often I get to talk about Duke Nukem or the original Quake with anyone who's played them. |

Sam-Charlie - Fun as always! Seems like every time we leave a 3%er gathering we spend the first 30 minutes on the ride home talking about how great (and fun)a group of people you guys are! Feel very privileged to be included in the circle. |

Our circle rocks! Although it is really more like a semi-circle since none of us are truly perfect! |

Our semi-circle rocks! just as long as we're not square! It was great to get out. With Marching Band coming to a close, and the competitions ending, it was the first time since before school started that all of us were able to get out together. Colin really enjoys talking with you, he's looking forward to Thursday. He can't wait to show someone his computer (that hasn't seen it already!), he's really proud of building it. I'm proud of him too, he's a good kid. The pictures are great! Although, it seems I'm always proving the fact that I'm not very photogenic... |

Then I pass out and she wakes me when we get there...Man, I love my little woman. I feel a song comin on! It's time to go home now And I've got an aching head So I give her the car keys She helps me to bed And then I tell her As I turn out the light I say my darling, you were wonderful tonight

Good thing dixie has a sense of humor Honey, after all the crap the nurses as Grady/Shepherd did to you, I'm not worried about you cheating on me with a girl dressed up as a nurse. Now maybe if she was a pirate I might get upset... Love ya darlin' |

Well I am a little disappointed this morning.... I brought the camera in so I could take some pics of my blackie I left leaving work yesterday in a full lock power slide down hwy29. But Cold pilot race tires on cold asphalt just dont make marks I guess. So anyway I was leaving work pulling out of the parking lot heading to the left, bike coughs and almost stalls in the road. I wick it up to get the hell out of the way of the car that was coming and point into the turn lane. To my surprise I found out that I was in a full lock power slide and was in total control! I gently rolled off to get straight and then I panicked and collected my thoughts. After the fact it got me thinking, I need a little motard to practice, that was a lot more fun that it should have been! |

Sanchez, I played the original Duke Nukem and Quake on an old NEC lap top with a 486 or 586 processor... Also played the orignal Doom and Doom 2 on the same computer... |
