Heads up! I've seen 4 deer in the last 2 weeks from the Carver Bridge down River Road to Gladstone. Two were coming up from the river side, and 2 were coming the other way. Any of you guys into drag racing? Not the street kind either. Kenny |

Well I got back early from Vacation so I can re-coupe at home. Just got done driving 14 hours straight and have been awake for 28 hours straight. Not much good for anything right now. Thanks Blake for the artwork. 2wheeler, I have though about going to PIR to drag race a few times with my V-Rod. Just have not made it yet. |

Hey all, I maybe changing jobs and moving to Portland. What areas should I look to live? I am stuck on the typical suburban type lifestyle, big garage and some grass. I appreciate any info. David Bird |

IN PORTLAND, or surrounding areas? If you don't mind driving 20-30 mins, look at Banks(used to live there), Forest Grove(live there now), Hillsboro, Beaverton, Aloha, There are area's along HWY26 called Portland but are hard to distinguish from Hillsboro or Beaverton. Feel free to email me direct if ya want. Cheers, Cord cord318@msn.com |

Heya Dbird29, looks like we might be crossing paths soon, I have a job interview in Denver next week. If you are thinking about moving here, don't forget to check out Vancouver. Upside: Property values and property taxes are cheaper, more home for your money. Less crime, better schools. Downside: The absolutely crappy drive into Portland. From my house it's 8 miles down I-5 to Portland, but it's known that I-5 through Portland is one of the worst stretches of road to commute on in the nation. If you work and live on the east side, I-205 makes life a lot better. Just my $.02 I've lived here my entire life and wouldn't move from Vancouver to Portland if my life depended on it. Truth be told, there are great neighborhoods in both places and poor ones in both as well, it really depends on where you work and what you're willing to put up with as a commute. As a side note, if you have kids like me, that can also be a strong motivational factor. If you have any questions don't hesitate to call me at: 360-608-1450 or email me at j.r.williams@comcast.net Jeremy (Message edited by jrw1275 on October 03, 2007) |

Dbird, I would try Beaverton. I would avoid having to commute in on I5 or I84 if you are a 8-5 guy. Hyw 26 into Portland can be bad but its relatively short and there are a few back roads. Probably looking at a 15-20 minute commute each way. I live in Hillsboro and commute all the way through Portland to NE Portland by the airport. |

Hi all, some news from Latus Motors: George and I got together today and discussed some projects for next season, mostly revolving around Buell motorcycles. We're receiving our first shipment of 1125R's starting in Nov. Most are sold (not all!) and our GM has agreed to designate one as a Demo!! Hooray!!!! George wants to build a Monster Buell "TT" as in a 88ci" "TT". Mike Stegmann will do the motor, we'll have David Hodges at GP Suspension do some suspension valving, and add some super motard type accessories to wrap it up. Big motor, up bars, lots of steering leverage, sounds like my kind of bike, a street sleeper for sure, Several years back Mike had built a totally outrageous Buell XB race bike, made something close to 160 HP, was raced at Laguna once and did very well. Were going to build this bike again, only this time George wants us to build it for a record run at Bonneville, our goal is 200 MPH. Wait till you see the heads on this motor! My schedule is pretty flexible for this month, Nov is busy wrapping up our last 2 AHDRA events in Pomona (11/9-10) and Las Vegas (11/16-17). Were looking pretty good going into the finals, Randy Borho is holding number 1 in Pro Modified, Steve Dorn is number 8 in Top Fuel, and I'm in 4th (Western Division) in V-Rod Destroyer. We would like you all to come over for some Pizza and Beverages, take a tour, see some of our racing bikes, and meet some of Latus's finest people. I'll be back with a date and time. I have to put some break in miles on the Project 'TT', I'm ready for a ride. Kenny Dreer Special Projects-Team Latus Racing 503-702-4183 kdreer@ccwebster.net |

Kenny- Thanks for the info update. This is great news for PDX Buell fans. I've got good reasons to avoid Parasite - oops, Paradise H-D... and now I've got great reasons to move my customer loyalty to Latus! Mark Salem |

I will try to get a definite time today today and get back to you. I think this would be a good time for us to get together and meet. I would like to start to put together a beginning "agenda" of what everyone would like to do for 2008. Like, maybe track days, Sportbike rides and where, Uly rides and where, extended rides, show and shines etc. We could have a lot of fun, if we could plan it out ahead of time. Its no fun when all comes at the last minute. Anyway, I'll try to get something definitive today. Kenny |

We had a great visit with Latus yesterday. For those that did not make it you missed some great stuff about the XBRR that they had been developing with there own heads, etc. Which will now be replaced with a 1125R as their new platform to work on. We also discussed rides for the upcoming year. Which sounds very promising including two track days. |
