It was good to see everybody -- finally got to meet Glitch & FtB. Passed Ferris on 60 about 3 miles from T.W.O. We ran north on 129 to Deal's Gap, had some drinks, talked to a bunch of people, got to see some future motorcycle statistics, etc. I've never seen more LEO's -- not just Deal's Gap. From Gastonia to T.W.O and from T.W.O north to Asheville. We had to see a bazillion. FtB's hamburger recommendation was correct -- well worth the day's ride. G2 |

I slowed down and figured that a few of you would pass but JC was the only one. His saddlebags did not touch but they were close. Next you will be cross dressing. |

I enjoyed meeting and riding with y'all. I'm used to 129 in NC/TN, but had never been on Georgia's 129. I could run that road all day long. I had to get back home to Asheville early. I think I'm gonna come to March Badness next year and try to bring a few friends of mine. |

I am back safely in the land of the falt and straight! The 08 12R handled like a dream!!! I never did get to meet the infamous FB... Maybe next time!! Our tent city at TWO grew and grew and grew!!! The Friday trip to the dragon started out with rain from TWO most of the way to Robbisonville (just below the dragon). The day turned really nice after that and our cruise up to and across the Dragon was GREAT!!! We saw NO, NONE, ZIP, ZILTCH LEOs on the Dragon and one Park Ranger on the Cherohala!!!! It was great!!! (NOTE: There was some type of Bike Fest going on and there were a LOT of crusiers...) Saturday while everyone was meeting up, we took off on Wolf Pen Gap, over to Brasstown Bald and across to Hwy 75. Way too many cars on Hwy 75... Went up the Russel B. Scenic and only had to pass one car!!!! Lots of traffic in the Mountains due to several different festivals... One of the guys riding with me had a low speed, low side in gravel while navigating a detour on Hwy 68 in Tenn.. He got a little road rash, a broke turn signal and some minor scratches on the bike. Saw some other crusier crashes... Couldn;t believe the skid marks leading off the side of the road on the Dragon... Never went down on 129 in Ga... usual eft side damage and I believe he was a little sore... Til March.... Ride safe!!! |

Just look for the road king with the razorblade foot boards. Dangerous things, those motorcycles. Could have given me a nasty cut. Those skid marks on the dragon, cherohola, and on the hellbender freak me out. Every turn seems to have 3 or 4 black streaks going off the side of the cliff. |

Just look for the road king with the razorblade foot boards. LOL! we did our best to lay sparks for the Killboy photogs on the Dragon Sunday, in spite of the heavy LEO presence. still waiting for his pix from the weekend to be posted to see how we did... |

Wasn't that a hell of a weekend! I wound up staying at TWO until Wednesday - I had to leave because I was out of clean clothes. As soon as everyone left on Sunday, a whole new group of people came in. I had a great time meeting and riding with everyone that showed up for the event. We apparently made quite an impression on people that just happened to be there and didn't know about Buelltoberfest. I had a great time the three extra days I spent there. Camping wasn't so bad. I think I like camping now. |

Best time I've had in quite a while. I came down the Wednesday before to camp out until Friday. Since I was pretty rusty, I figured I needed the extra riding time. After I unloaded the xb, I headed north up 60. I rode fairly well, until I hit the Gixxer corner area. Had a brain fart and nearly lost it in a damp curve. Pulled into the church up the road and had a ciggy. I told myself "I'll ride better tomorrow", and I did, then went back to the camp and had a few shots and beers. Thursday morning I hooked up with two riders from Florida, who happened to be cops. We rode all day Thursday, and rode all day Friday with Paint Shaker and his friend to the Dragon and Cherehola. I guess you could say, it was one of those rides you hate to see end, even if your ass is sore. I left Sunday morning, got home and realized all the great roads are not around here. Pretty depressing. Hopefully, I'll make it back up there in March. Later... |

Quite saying that chit about me!!! If it keeps up I will have to lead that ride everytime I am up there!!! LOL Just kidding... Had a great time, hope everyone else did too!! Never, We did the loop counter-clockwise this go round... went to the Dragon first, then down 28 and on across the Cherohala... I think the clock wise trip is better though... More twities on the way up and then a semi-relaxing ride back... Nevertheless, MANY MILES OF SMILES!!!! |

I made it up for Saturday's riding and must say that was without doubt the best time I've ever had on a bike. I will absolutely have to camp for the weekend at MBV. Anybody have a rough count of how many Buells attended our little impromptu mountain assault? |

Mountainrider ... damn! I've always wondered what JC looked like going fast. When I follow him, he vanishes after the first corner, and I never see him again. Ridrx, looking at MR's video, I count 20. |

Anybody have a rough count of how many Buells attended our little impromptu mountain assault? By very rough count, I can count 35 Buells. Not bad for a first time non-sponsored event! |

I do not think JC even realizes how fast he goes. The saddlebags come so close to dragging. |
