Johnny, Thanks for the info on the hotel in WI...I don't think I can make it..If it was a Thurs/Fri even I could probably swing it. I will be in Chi town this weekend..Well, Great Lakes...Was thinking of hauling the bike in the truck this weekend, but not sure about weather yet and don't know if anyone is going to be doing any riding? If I do end up bringing it, I'll let y'all know but I'll only be able to ride Saturday evening so it might not be worth the hassle..maybe next month if weather is still nice and bike is running..LOL Wilson |

I hate to say it, but I'm probably not going to make it out to Blackhawk tomorrow. There is a small chance of me shooting out there for an hour or two in the early/mid afternoon. Anyone have plans? Wilson- I'll post soon about the Slimy Crud Run coming up on Sun Oct 7. All in your crew are welcome, we'll have a group heading out from Chicago early that morning. |

Greg, way to go! Your fist real race and you are around the next day to talk about it. Mike- What happened? I had really hoped to be there but just didn't have it in me to make the ride there and back alone. |

Bomber, It was good seeing you downtown yesterday. I've heard of "business casual" clothing, but a blue denim shirt with the Pegasus on the back is way too cool. If it hadn't been for seeing that on your back, I would have overlooked you as just another worker bee on the way to the hive. Next time I'm around, let's break bread. Frank |

Greetings everyone, I haven't posted in a while so I thought it would be nice to check in. I am currently in Strasbourg France on a business trip. I will be traveling to Paris on Saturday and was wondering if anyone would like a t-shirt from the Paris HD shop. There are a lot of awsome war memorials here. Tomorrow I go to Haganeau. Today I went to the Black Forest and I hope to get a visit to Bastone before I leave. Notre Dame is really a beautiful piece of architecture. Please let me know if anyone is interested. I haven't seen any Buells yet, just alot of really small cars, scooters and BMW motorcycles. Later, Brent |

I am also excited about Slimey Crud Run on Sunday 10/7. I must work on Mon and Tues and can only do Sunday slimey crud. I am jealous of John and Tim and others who are doing the wildcat mtn and trackday and will live vicariously through you. I looked up our timeline from the May 2007 Slimeycrud run from the archives and am proposing we use it again. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/show .cgi?tpc=37&post=880816#POST880816 I tweaked it a bit below...just like last year we'll modify the schedule as needed after we reach Pine Bluff to maximize the fun. Slimey Crud Run Sunday 10/7 schedule proposal: Day before prep --> Have your bike loaded and ready....Have 100 miles of gas in your tank so you don't have to fuel before Belvidere Toll. Sunrise = approx 6:45am YOUR DEPARTURE TIME - depart individual homes so you arrive at Belvidere toll at 8:15am 7am - Marc and Paul and any others who are in the Plainfield/Romeoville area meet at Downtown Plainfield coffee shop @ Des Plaines Street and West Lockport Street for ride to Belvidere Toll Plaza. No time for coffee or snack, meet at 7am and leave else we'll miss 8:15 rally at Belvidere Toll Plaza and be left behind. 8:15am - Meet at Belvidere toll plaza oasis off I-90 near Rockford for fuel stop and breakfast snack. Everyone ready to depart by 8:30am else you will be left behind. 8:30am - 10:30am ride from Belvidere toll to Pine Bluff, WI. Skip stopping at Starbucks to meet the Madison Buell club as this burns up time. Let's just meet Madison Buellers at Pine Bluff with everyone else and hook up for a ride together as we leave Pine Bluff. 10:30 to 11:30am - check out bikes at PineBluff, lunch, whatever. schedule becomes very fluid from here on... 11:30am to 1:30pm - ride from Pinebluff to Leland (2 hours or so). Hopefully Bomber is with us to lead us through his cool route, otherwise, I have one of his maps and partial memory of it. 1:30pm to 2:30pm - have snack/lunch in Leland, check out bikes, ride more, whatever. Sometime after Leland stop split up into two groups: 1). Chicago Sunday return crew heads home. Marc will be in the Chicago return crew. 2). Wildcat Mountain & Track Day crew led by John and Tim continue the cycling extravaganza. Sunset = approx 6:40pm Let's hope for a warm, sunny, and dry day. - Marc |

Brent, sounds like a cool trip. If not too much trouble, I'd like a shirt (size = medium). However, if the shirt is Euro-sized, you better get me a large. Thanks! |

Marc, Where can I connect with you and Paul for Slimy Crud Run? My cast is off Oct1 and I dying to get out on the road. I will be riding two up, and I will be in "Sunday only" crew. I agree with your itinerary and would be ready to connect with you anyplace on your trip to Belvidere. Keith |

Brent, If you can make it to St Mere Eglise in Normandy, go to the Airborne Museum. They've got some great stuff there and Americans are genuinely welcome. Frank |

Frank, I wish I could go to Normandy, but I leave on Sunday. I'll be back in March though. Next time I'll plan better. The french people have been very nice. There are some awsome roads, I took a trip out of the city today and checked out some castles.Castle Rahmstein was cool so was Huat Koenigsbourg. The nightclubs are crazy here. I went to a french punk bar because it was late, I had no idea. There was a band playing and the lead singer was naked, wrapped in cellophane, wearing a pig mask. There were 2 naked girls on stage with him. I was informed by the bouncer that it was not a single gender bar if you get my drift. Later, Brent |

All, How hard is it to replace the choke cable on my Cyclone? I was planning on taking it out one day the knob separated from sheathing around the actual cable itself; it will need to be replaced. I would like to replace it myself however I'm thinking about bringing it in for service; I have some other issues to have looked at too. Later |

that choke cable should be pretty easy to do yourself, do you have a shop manual ? or look in knowledge vault under carbs & see if there is something in there to help you, might even find a good pic or 2 , good luck |
